The exterior 1 Mach 2 is finally in the office Sabbath hi everybody and welcome back to the channel today we're going to check out all the new features built into the brand new Experian. Obviously, the successor to last year's 4k display on the smartphone from Sony. We have a lot of new things done here. Obviously, some hardware changes some inclusion of things that we've wanted from Sony to bring back and, of course, some new updates is that the software built into the hardware. This is TK, and this is the Xperia one Mach 2, let's check it out, I can subscribe and make sure you hit that Bell icon so that you're always notified to whenever we have new videos on the channel. This is the brand new Xperia one Mach 2.
We have a 6.5 inch, 4k HDR OLED display here, obviously the providing us um of the best experiences when it comes to content. Consumption on a smartphone we have a new change here from last year is where we have two front-facing stereo speakers configured with Dolby Atmos and eight megapixel sensor. That's specially the president they're capable of shooting 1080p video and when we look at the back here, there's a few changes as well a triple camera setup here that offers us three 12 megapixel sensors, but at different focal lengths. So we have one that's an equivalent of the wide-angle lens with a 16 millimeter. That's one over two point: six inch sensor as well as basically providing us with face detection and autofocusing the second one is more of the standard focal length at the 24 millimeter.
That's one over one point: seven inch sensor with dual basically face detection and auto, focusing as well as all is. Last but not least, we have the zoomed lens, which is a 70 millimeter, and that gives us a 1 over 3.4 inch sensor with face detection autofocus as well as IS. And of course we have that new additional eye. Top 3d I talked for auto. Focusing essentially is a time-of-flight sensor that assists the main cameras for auto, focusing since the camera that we have here is supposed to have real-time, auto, focusing for people as well as cats, and we'll get a chance to check that out up to 20 frames per second autofocusing burst shots so definitely perfect and up to 60 times per second auto, focusing on the subject, whenever you're trying to shoot video and, of course, the new perfect edition that a lot of us wanted to get back here.
Is that three-and-a-half millimeter headphone jack and you can see it right there and this one is high-res audio, dedicated DAC built into this with Dolby Atmos as well, and, of course, the front-facing speakers that I talked to you guys about with Dolby configuration. The battery that we have on the device now has been also upgraded to a four thousand William battery, capable of going from 0 to 100 of the 5 to 50 percent, in about 30 minutes and, of course, finally, wireless charging back as well as the fact that we have the IP, 65, 68 water. Basically, water and dust resistance, and we kept kind of the same format: the 20 now at 21 by 9 aspect ratio for content consumption as it's intended for movies and, of course, when you're playing games, since we actually have the ability of having a much wider display and keeping the controlled outside the field of view whenever you're playing. Now, we also have DualShock for support here, which is really nice and, of course, the Qualcomm elite, gaming and, of course, enhancer built into this device. Now, the package that I have here is essentially a European model, so my charger is a UK style when you pick it up in the US.
This is going to be available for you, guys with the U. S. charger, a USB, C, 2, USB, C, charging, cable and, of course, a pair of headphones, since we actually have a headphone jack on the device, keep in mind as far as the original pre-orders starting June 1st you'll be able to pre-order the mock, the Xperia 1, Mach 2, and also, if you pre-order during the month of June, which it provides. You with you believe, picking up a free pair of the Sony headphones, the wireless true Wireless, a and C headphones that are by far one of my favorite pairs of headphones available from Sony, so prepare headphones. If you pre-order the brand-new experience too far as the main differences between last year's Xperia S years, Mach 2 overall, we didn't have wireless charging as well as the fact that we did not have the time of flight sensor.
So we have a triple camera setup, and at that time we didn't actually have the mass certification on them. So just keep in mind that there is a slight difference. Of course, it's also positioned more to the left. If you think about it, it's actually kind of closer to the way the Xperia v was where the camera sensors were sitting on the left. So Xperia 1 took the camera sensors here.
The triple camera set up in the center Xperia v shifted it to the left and, of course, the Xperia 1 Mach 2 brought it in and added the time-of-flight sensor as well as, of course, some optimizations in the software for up to 4k 60 frames per second, which is something that we didn't have on either both the Xperia one or the Xperia v. Looking over on the hardware on the right side, we'll notice that both of them have a volume, rocker and a fingerprint sensor. The main difference here is the Xperia one. Has that dedicated power button and the fingerprint sensor separate where the Xperia 1 Mach 2, combined both of them for one button. So you essentially you press it and unlock it.
At the same time, we still have that dedicated camera button present on both the Xperia 1 and the mach 2, basically just enable charge it pushes it and keep it basically from launching the camera directly and because we actually have a new camera. Pro function, you're able to customize it to have to launch the standard, camera application or automatically launch the camera Pro, and we'll get a chance to check that out. Switching it over. On the left side, the sim tray capable of providing us as well expandable storage is present on the left side, where it was present actually I'm on the top for the Xperia 1, of course same thing to list it basically expansion. You can still add an FC card and, of course, supporting a single sim for both of these devices.
On the back, as we mentioned, both 12 mega picking well triple 12, megapixel camera sensors, except that time-of-flight sensor now, and, of course, wireless charging, where we don't have that on the initial Xperia on the top other than the fact that we now have a three and half millimeter headphone jack. We no longer have that port there, it's sitting on the side. We still have that additional microphone for the cameras and on the bottom will notice that the Xperia One has at one of the bottom firing speakers the stereo experience facing away where we now have it front-facing, specifically on the Xperia 1 Mach 2 USB, see for data and charging, as well as external audio support and, of course, an additional microphone last but not least, will also notice that the actual aesthetics of the device slake, the slightly changed, you'll notice, it's a little more flat at the top, where, as opposed to it's more rounded, so it's a little easier to hold, not sharp, definitely more of a flat surface on the sides, as well as the top, where we have them more rounded here, but both of them still supporting a flat display. There's no difference as well. Now, one of the cool things, obviously, is that both of these devices are supporting a 4k panel, so either one.
It will definitely give you a great experience when it comes down to basically enjoying content, and now both of them also feature a dedicated creator mode. That provides you some of the would say the best way to experience movies as they were originally created, meaning the tuning of the display will basically match to whatever the original creator content was intended to be shown in. So if we jump into the image, quality will notice. There's a creator mode on both of these devices, and you're able to turn them on, and the best way to explain it essentially is that they both support.10-Bit color, with HDR specification upscaling again with 4k support, so definitely perfect built in. Although motion blur is present here on the brand-new experience ?, which is supposed to give us an experience, that's closely resembling to a 90 Hertz refresh rate, even though the device itself is actually running a 60 Hertz display and will notice the ascetic differences as far as the earpiece.
The earpiece here is actually very nicely tucked in on top and as well as the bottom firing speakers, and we talk both of the front. Both of the speakers here are both stereo and, of course, supported by Dolby, Atmos and front casing. Experian one Mach 2 comes with Android 10-point. Oh, out of the box know what they need it and, of course, we have basically the Google feed here on the right side, and you can definitely see that the refresh rate and everything looks really nice. The headphone jack that we have here as I mentioned to you guys, does support it, basically a dedicated DAC with hi-fi audio in there, and it definitely sounds perfect, and I'm, really happy with the fact that they included a pair of headphones so that we can actually enjoy the content on them without having to go, buy a wired headphone.
If we don't have them one of the other things you probably noticed as we're looking here is the fact that we now have a dedicated application called photo Pro in the first version of the Xperia one. We only had cinema Pro and both of these applications have been updated. To now, give us more control over the sensors that we have on the back. Both of these cameras. Applications here will only work with the main sensors on the back triple 12, megapixel sensors and, of course, we still have a dedicated camera application which is standard to what we've only had before.
So we have camera, basically, the wide-angle and wide angle lens, essentially the standard focal length and, of course, at the telephoto, which essentially just jumps in we have macro mode additional modes here for photo Pro as well as portrait mode, a creative effect as well. As you know, slow motion, Google Lens, and I'll get a chance to show you guys some of those contents and the images of being able to take under the video app the standalone video applications we're only able to record up to 4k at 30 frames per. Second, let's go back up here, so the maximum resolution is 4k. We don't see the 60 frames per second, unless you're doing down to basically full HD 60 frames per second, so that's present here, and you're able to shoot the video with it. If you want to switch over to the front-facing camera.
The maximum resolution, as I mentioned, is going to be basically capped at Full. HD, so we can either do one by one, which is just the square size at 1080 by 1080, or you can do sixteen by nine Full HD on it. But as far as the actual benefit here with the new hardware, is the ability of going into cinema Pro, which gives us the ability of jumping in, so we can definitely see here. Now we have the ability of doing the 1440 or 1440p or 4k and, of course, the ability of jumping to 60 frames per second now, keep in mind that you're only able to do the 60 frames per second with the 24th, the standard focal length camera. So it's the 24 millimeter equivalent lens and of course we can set the ISO, the shutter speed, the white balance, as well as the focusing level to your personal preference.
So you have basically tungsten that's just with a white balance, of course focus level we have manual, focus or auto, focusing and of course, under the shutter you're able to customize it or even tap the auto option. If it actually does support, keep in mind that a lot of these settings are obviously intended to be used outdoors, this is not intended for indoor photography, but it gives you that granular level and of course, as you see here, we have that audio meter, that's built in and, of course, a level so that you know exactly if you're facing and your subject is done correctly. You're also able to use external audio what I mean by this essentially audio using either the three-and-a-half millimeter, headphone, jack or USB, see audio with the camera, with the of course, cinema Pro, now switching over to the camera Pro, and if this interface looks any familiar to you guys. It's because it kind of looks a lot like the Sony, alpha camera setup or even basically, the small handheld versions of basically, which is also a Carl Zeiss lenses. Here we get control over every single aspect of the camera, from choosing the different lenses, the sixteen to twenty-four or the seventy millimeter.
So I'll go and jump over to the standard focal length. One and, of course, once you're selected close here, we have the ability of turning on the display, turning it off and configuring it the menu option. Very much, for example, is what a standard camera setup is. We can go from the shooting mode, exposure focus set up and, of course, get everything set up in the way you want it last but not least, adjust everything from basically the autofocusing the white balance, everything from the flash and, of course, the framing and, of course, the ISO once you have it set. You can lock it so that it doesn't change on its own and, of course, start using the dedicated camera button to do a half press to be able to start doing your focusing and, of course, after that, taking your entire image.
The way you want it battery level is present there storage, as well as the camera LED, which ever megapixel camera that you're using very powerful tool and again brand new to the brand-new exterior one mach 2, let's not waste any time. Let me go ahead and show you guys some pictures that I was able to take within the last couple of days, I've been able to use it as well as some video, of course sampling, both the front-facing sensor and the back facing sensor and, of course, jumping over to the cinema. Pro application for some perfect outdoor shots, starting off with the main sensor we have here in the back. This is capable going to 4k 30 frames per second in the standard, camera application and up to 4k 60 frames per second in the cinema, Pro application. So just keep in mind in case you don't see that setting but, of course, should be pretty good.
For, let's say just you know, regular vlogging style experience, switching it over to the wide angle lens, obviously we're still April getting the same kind of resolution, but obviously fitting more and not having to actually be too far away, but again a good example. The main sensor here, obviously, is that all three of them are 12 megapixel sensors, with different, basically four length, Saudis 16 to 24 and the 70 millimeter equivalent lenses that we have here on the Xperia 1 Mach 2. The main sensor we have in the front, obviously is an 8 megapixel sensor, so maximum resolution will be able to get here is in Full, HD, there's no 4k and I. Don't think there'll be a plan for that, but again, keep in mind main cameras on the back are gonna, be the powerhouses of sensors. Now we do have object tracking with the front-facing camera, which is definitely nice but again full HD maximum resolution and, of course, we're able to do standard images and so on, but this should be a good example of how the audio and video does sound, as well as the fact there's a little of wind going on and some birds.
In the background. Now, let's switch over to the cinema Pro application. This is going to be the best experience you're able to get as far as the cameras that we have here you're. Not only are you able to control which camera which lens, which you know, ISO white balance down to the granular level, as well as the ability of going to 4k 60 frames per second on this, and you also have an audio meter and as well as accepting external audio via the headphone, jack or even USB, see now as far as gaming I'm, pretty sure, a lot of us want to know how does gaming play on this device now, there's no question that games will run the best that they can on this, since we have the snapdragon 865, 8, gigs of ram 256, gigs of internal storage, of course, expandable via micros card, and we also have a dedicated gaming mode. That's capable of providing us a few examples here, so we have game performance, you're up Altoona between balanced performance as well as battery saver focused settings to be able to turn off anything that could easily interfere with your game, as well as releasing RAM high notification and hide call notification.
So you get more of a dedicated gaming experience and, of course, turn off and tap to brightness. If you want to be able to control it manually, disabling the camera key in case, for any reason, you do hit that by mistake. It's definitely right there. Last but not least, we have built-in screen recording menu type floating, which is what we have screenshot as well as search, and what I really like about the recording is that it gives us the ability of actually using the front-facing camera while you're recording video. So if you wanted to ever be able to record your gameplay and be at the moment and just upload it straight to YouTube, this is definitely going to be the way to do it.
For me, I did that right. There we'll go ahead and say next I'll go ahead and shake the game, and you could kind of see me right there ever so nicely. Let me go ahead and show you guys a quick demo of the gameplay on the brand-new Experian Mach 2, the main benefit of playing games, honest device- that is by this aspect- ratio, which is the 21 by 9 aspect ratio- is again keeping in mind that when your controls are sitting over here, you have so much of the display open for you to look at where we have a lot of other devices that are basically using more of a wider display and your hands are closer to each other, covering part of the display. So again, optimized gaming, not only with the stereo speakers, but also with the post power that we have and, of course, built-in screen recording natively. Now, as far as the actual sound performance that we have here, let's go ahead and go into the Settings tab.
I want to get a chance to show you guys some of the optimizations that they have built in here. So under sound you'll notice, there's all the standard, sound configurations. We can go into the audio settings, Dolby Atmos. Of course, you can customizer between dynamic movie, music and, of course, custom. EQ advanced settings to be able to turn on the different settings manually or even customize, your own EQ standard, android 10-point.
No gestures, of course, were quite one more time: the see ultimate upscales, the compressed audio quality with using AI technology. Essentially, since we mostly listen to compressed audio over the internet. Obviously you know with streaming services. This helps us get much better audio performance and, of course, antennas and wind filter to be able to get make sure that whenever you're using the device, there's not as much interference from wind, so again a lot of cool things built into this. But let's not waste any time.
Let's jump into the title as usual, we play the same song every time we make a video here. This is jumbo by Alex window. This is an NCS release, so this is no copyright. Music I'll go ahead and volume level all the way 100%, and we'll get a chance to also talk about the feedback on this built in so let's go ahead and start the music again. This is a high 5 version, but title also provides the ability playing mastered level audio, which is much better, of course, when you're listening with your perfect pair of headphones and that additional something that you saw right there when the audio is playing, is the ability of turning on the feedback on the device.
So it actually responds to the bass and the music that you're playing as well as content when you're watching movies so makes it a little more immersive when you're able to feel the actual bass or the other punches or even when somebody hits the ground not only by hearing it, but also being able to feel it in your hand, very reminiscent, of course, of the 40 shock that we get with Sony controllers on the PS on the PlayStation systems and I really like that, and you can of course, control the level of the actual load just good here, you can go all the way to the top which vibrates the entire device minimal or, of course, turning it off. The audio does sound really nice. It is not the loudest speaker, but it's again trying to play the music to the best quality headphones or even wireless and over Bluetooth. We make it really run very nicely now. At the beginning, I mentioned to you guys that we have obviously the creator mode, that's something that we're able to basically go in there and customize.
Are you able to turn it on, but not only that we also have the ability of turning on creator mode automatically whenever certain applications are turned on so and every time I turn on Netflix by default, even if I don't have it on, it will automatically turn it on, and it gives it the ability, basically of getting that really nice optimized colors, specifically for movie playback, video enhancement? Of course, you need to turn that on to be able to check it out and see all the main benefits, but what it is able to provide you. Basically, as far as the color depth, you can see definitely how the colors look so much better here, more vibrant, the color representation sitting here as well as, basically it's a few examples here. What it looks like really nice and again built in automatically you just need to turn on the feature and get it to work motion blur will be that feature that enables us to get that almost 90 Hertz for fresh rate, even though this is a 60 Hertz refresh rate panel now. The other thing I want to mention to you guys is that we have definitely much more control over the white balance configuration here. Not only are you able to basically configure between warm medium cool and custom, which is what we've had in the past, but we also have the ability of going into basically specific presets here, so we have the D 65, the D 61, all the way up to D 50 and, of course we can jump all the way to D, 93 and customize it all around at the bottom here.
So perfect reading configurations is what we have here. As far as the updates to the white balance, even though we're again looking both at pretty much similar panels, we definitely have more control now with a brand new Experian I'm. Pretty sure you guys want to look at some specifications, so here we are, did a quick, Android bench as far as the internal storage that we have in here. This does not have an SD card. That's built in.
You can definitely see here that we have some pretty good, read and write speeds as far as the internal storage and last but not least, of course, I ran Geek bench just for the overall score, just too kinda to get the overall. You know single core and multi-core performance, so 889 with 3127 a pretty comparable, not as fast as what I saw. Would the OnePlus 8 pro, but definitely pretty close, almost at 900, of course, again 8 gigs of ram the snapdragon 865 with 256 gigs of internal storage. So again we should be able to get some of the best performance here now. One thing I didn't mention to you guys so far is the fact that the Xperia LAN Mach 2 supports 4G LTE, which is pretty much the same experience we had last year with the Xperia 1, no 5g and I.
Don't know if there's going to be any plans in the future. For a different version of this device, but at least currently as it stands for G LTE speed, wise I was able to get about 111 megabits down at the best performance on T-Mobile and I, also tested it on a TMT I. Think overall speeds would the way 5g is in the US right now, since most of the speeds are around that. For me, at least in my area, I, don't think, there's going to be a big issue. Overall, connectivity can be great again.
We have wireless charging. We have that new three and half million headphone jack a lot of cool things going on the inclusion of the upgraded version of the cinema pro as well as the camera pro gives us a lot of control over the cameras that we have in here, not only from basically the menu system that pretty much mimics it to the rx-7, 100 kind of experience or even the Sony. Alpha camera, the updated mass camera optics that we have on the back, as you saw with the videos, is there's just so much from a creativity standpoint in there I realize we don't have a 90 Hertz display, but we do have some software optimizations that enable us to enjoy it as if we do have that and that's one of the things they've done on the software side. Overall, this device screams speed for the most part. As far as what you're getting the experience, the fingerprint sensor is reliable.
There are no issues there and or a 10-4 know out of the box. Front-Facing speakers fast charging 0 to 50% in about 30 minutes. It's actually pretty good, as well as the fact that we have a three-and-a-half millimeter headphone jack, which is something that tells you that Sony is listening to their users. They wanted it. They gave it to them and, of course, everybody's going to be good with that.
My initial impression of this device, I'm, actually very, very excited not only be able to try it out, but also to see the potential that this is gonna, be providing us. So obviously, there'll be other videos that we'll be doing here for you guys on the channel. They D tell me more experiences there, and I would love it for you guys to. Let me know what would you like me to focus on? Obviously, the camera is gonna, be the first thing. There's no question there, but it would, you like to see a comparison between, let's say the Xperia 1 and the Xperia 1 Mach 2 again, you've got leave me comments down there and let me know what you guys think like and subscribe as usual.
Thank you very much for the support and I will see you guys in the next video.
