Samsung Note 10+ 5G Unboxing & First Impressions

Welcome everyone I'm Ricky from Tech, Talk, and I'm, really excited to have the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G I'm, looking forward to getting it unboxed and set up together- and today is my unboxing video so on the frontier we've got the s-pen, which can be used now with clicks and gestures to control your device, as you know, and we look forward to exploring that with our device on the bottom. Here, we've got note: 10, plus 5 G. Obviously it's from Samsung no massive. Thank you to Vodafone who supplied this to the channel. So that's on the front come around to the side. We've just got a bit more branding here and again a content into the light eats.

It says: Samsung Galaxy, Note, n +, 5 G, which is perfect to come around to the back. Here. We just have a bit of information, so a bit of a spec sheet on the back here, not actually going to focus on this too long because we'll go through them as we go through the unboxing. A couple of things I just want highlight is the stereo speakers, and headphones are all tuned by AKG, so sound quality should be high level. Looking forward to experience in that, you also get superfast charging and fast wireless charging, which is perfect from a 5 g device.

Course you still getting the wireless power share option, which will then charge up your Galaxy Buds and your Galaxy active what's and different options that you might have. It also has an IP 68 rating for water and dust resistance. One other thing I just want I like before we move on is the securities by Knox, which means your sanctioned devices will be protected so coming back round so front now, let's lift and actually unbox our device. A bit of slow reveal there to remember the paperwork. Options are actually tucked in the back of the lid here, so let's have a look at them first to take them out, so some people ask me why: where are they? They fight them away now, which is a little interesting.

You've got sim tool on the back here. To remove your sim then inside here is your paintwork. Let's see what paperwork we get without paperwork. First, we've got transferring content, so it shows you there how to transfer content. We then have a quick start guide which will fold out and give you loads of information about your device if you've quite any help or have any inquiries.

Please drop a comment down below, and you know I'm more than happy to help. So you've got your regional lock guides, so some devices will be locked to different regions, different networks, but obviously that can be changed. Please look through that and again, if you help please drop a comment down below then you've got your warranty card. Make sure you register your warranty for your advice. That's all the paperwork that we have there.

Let's move on now to the device. That's all that was in that little box at the back there with your stencil. So we do have our device here. That's on top, so we've got our device out, and you wait till you see this color. The color is amazing from something here.

It's called an Aurora glow. It just looked at the amazing, really reflective and just the light, just pops and shines in all different colors, all the way around your device and looks absolutely fantastic, I'm going to put it down like that. I think. That's actually nicer to look at that way around then just a display and the colors just come alive, so on top you've got a little tab. Let's take off that says Samsung, so underneath our divider, let's see what else we get first, is our UK three-pin plug, and this offers superfast charging, which is up to 45 watts, which is really handy.

Third pin prong here, which pops up has a USB-C connection on the back here, which is really handy to note. It comes in a nice black color, so go sit that on the top here. So we do then have a little compartment down here, which has a couple of little bits inside so see what we've got, so you're one side down here. So you have your data transfer option here for transferring over content because a USB a to a USB, see here which will go into your device and connect a cable then into your older device you can transfer over, which is really handy, then also in this side, we've got something else. What we've got in here.

So then you have your tool here to extract the pen nib of the s-pen, so you can replace that option there. So it's really handy to know then two little bits then moving up we've got our connection. Keyboard believes gonna, be here: because I'm. We also have something else in here. So what else do we have? So we've got another connection option here.

So this again is USB-C, which you could plug into an older device or your new device, and then also you have a micro, USB Wow, that's quite a long time since I've seen a device that would micro USB, then. Finally, we have our USB-C to USB cable here for syncing and transferring over our beta and, of course, charging our device. As I said, it's 45 watts with a plug, or you can use a 15 watt wireless charging option and, of course it has that his pouch Alps and which is available from Samsung, which is perfect to see, and I can't wait to actually experience that. Also, you have your tuned AKG headphones here, so you can use them if you so want to that's everything that we get in the box. Let's move this all to the side and actually enjoy our brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, glow color. So now, let's move into process of setting up our device together.

It just looks amazing love that color on the back here to your power button is down the left-hand side here, which is the smaller one of the two on top. Is your volume controls? Sadly, no textual difference there you're greeted there with Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 making is running Android 9 and will get a push to Android 10 in the near future. It comes with one UI version too, and let's go so it in that setup process. So we can go through the setup process, or we can actually jump into accessibility which I'm a huge fan of so down here at the bottom. We've got accessibility options that you can go through and change so inside that accessibility.

We have the range of different options to go through. First is a screen reader. She can use Samsung's proprietary screen reader service, or you can use talk back, it's actually which one you want to use. We then have visual enhancement, and this is just amazing- to see all the different options that are inside here so coming back. Also, you have interaction and dexterity loads of different options in here.

You've got installed services, so you can install services, and then you've got notes there about different accessibility options, and we can go through the setup process so underneath it says here check out some info and get started. So it's just terms and agreements, I'm, going to tick, -- to want to use all the best options of my device, basically asters, to set up a Wi-Fi, so click on your Wi-Fi and input your passwords copy, apps and data. So you can transfer data if you want to, so you can press next day, and you can use the cables and everything provided. If not, you can just then go no, don't transfer. We don't want to once set up as a new device again just check in for any information, then mainly, it's going to ask you to sign in with your Google account or you Gmail account, and this is where you'll get all access to Google's apps services and all their options for this device.

So, and please make sure you log in if you don't have one you can create accounts in. If you forget your password, you can reset your password there if you want to so once you've done that you'll be greeted them with an agreement. You have to agree to use their services access your assistant with your voice, so your voice match to be on file which mine should hopefully so Google services again just checking through these. So you got Google services that we need to agree to here. So the only one that I turn off is the backup the rest I leave on, and you can scroll down and read through these and then hit except.

Then we come to protecting your device in Sam Soon offer the multiple different ways. So we have facial recognition. We have fingerprints, you have patterned, pin or passwords, or you could skip I highly recommend you do not use skip. Please choose at least one of these services. By choosing one of these services, it will ask for a backup service, so we're going to try the fingerprint option, as it has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which is built into the display here.

It is that I, like I, said that it's going to ask you to choose a secondary option, so I'm going to choose a pin so once you've entered your PIN twice just to confirm it, you hit next and continue so notes about screen, covers and protectors. So please be careful as it uses an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Some may not be able to read through the display, so you can see your thumbprint here or, like your fingerprint, you just tap on. So you can use your finger or your thumb it's up to you and, as you can see, with filling up that fingerprint at the top, there change position just changes here, so we can get the top and the tip. So that's all done, so now we're just going to go around the outer edges here and just using different ways of doing that.

So we can add another, or we can actually carry on, so we're going to carry on. It might add some others later on so review additional apps, so you've got additional applications here, they're going to be pre-installed on to your device, which is absolutely fine, because then I'll get to see the device, as everyone else does like you out there. That's watching this video. It comes to me as a standard sort of device out of the box, so get recommendations. So obviously this is from Vodafone and massive.

Thank you to Vodafone. The link will be in description. It is on their 5g network, and we will be going in testing their 5g network in local areas to see how well it does, so I'm going to say. Ok to the Vodafone applications here, then it moves on to sign in with your Samsung, Account and I highly recommend you do this to use all of Samsung's services as well, and then you're all done so. You click finish at the bottom.

Okay, so our fight is all set up and ready to go a couple of things: I've just changed off-camera, so the first one was the dark theme. So I've changed the dark theme which we've done inside here I've also bumped up the resolution to its highest point, which we're going to be talking about in a second our device he set up. So let's go through some specs and first we're going to be talking about the display, and it's a beautiful display from Samsung. It's a cinematic infinity ode display with a six point: eight inch dynamic, AMOLED display panel. It has 16 million colors 91% screen to body ratio which is really high, as they've 1440 by 30-40 quad HD resolution display as well there's going to be really pushing every single pixel at you and that's 498 pixels per inch, which is actually astonishingly high offers a 19 by 9 aspect ratio, HDR, 10 plus, and an always-on display so loads of great features there, with your out of display, I'm looking forward to just delving in and enjoying content with this it's protected as well, thanks to Corning Gorilla, Glass 6 on the front and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the back, which is really important, so it shouldn't be damaged, as you may notice.

I do have a little scratch down here, but, as this is a pressure unit, it gets past around quite a lot. Then we move into power performance. Yes, this is the Samsung Galaxy, Note n, plus five G. So is one of their flagship they've. Given it an impressive Enos 9 8 to 5, which is 7 nanometer outscore processor, giving you loads of great power performance will be really delving in a lot later on in the review.

The GPU is from Mali, which is a g7 6, MP 12, which was seen previously and internally. You have 256 gigabytes of internal storage, which is USD 3.0, which is ultra-fast storage, was really impressive. You have micro, SD card storage, option which can be up to a terabyte again, making that even more impressive with a map content you can store on your device, has 12 gigabytes of RAM wow. That's incredible! That's more than my older MacBook Pro that used to have, and it's also packing a four thousand three hundred million power battery. That's superfast charging option of 45 watts.

You also have the wireless charging, and also you have the power share: option really impressing the math specs. That's before we move on to the cameras so moving on to cameras. First, let's start with front-facing camera here, a little dot in the middle, which makes up your infinity. Oh, display is 10 megapixels in size and F 2.2 in aperture, 26 millimeters, and it's a wide dual pixel lens. It has phase detection autofocus, and it offers video recording mobility at 2160p, which is 4k at 30 frames per.

Second, so it's really impressive and looking forward to actually really delving in user nets, taking it on my travels with me. So turning around to the rear, we get to see this amazing aurora blow. That does like fingerprints, though, and does mark quite easily, so please be careful that just put maybe a clear case on or something, but it is really nice to see so moving on to our rear camera now- and this is where we have quad camera, so we've got four cameras on the back here. Your first one is a 12 megapixel F 1.5 to AF 2.4, which is 27 millimeters it's wide, and it's a dual pixel as face detection, also focused and oh, is which is optical image stabilization, underneath that you have a 12, megapixel f/2 point 152 millimeters, which is a telephoto lens offers phase detection. Autofocus, oh, is 2 times optical zoom, so you can really zoom in and see everything you want to.

You also, then, have a 16, megapixel f2 point 2, which is 12 millimeters, which is your ultra-wide and super steady video as well. You can take on this I love. The ultra-wide camera lenses from Samsung it seems that you can get everything in, and I'm looking forward to pitching this against my iPhone 11 Pro Max as well, so definitely doing a comparison, videos very soon, then. Finally, you have a tough time of flight camera, which is 3d VGA, camera lens sort of VR and AR options come through this, which is really incredible to use as an LED flash Otto Heart, ER and panorama mode plus lights, more different options that we'll go through when we give a camera review. So coming back to video.

Now, when you take a video, what options do you have well, there's quite a lot at 4k, which is 2160p, there's 30 or 60 frames per second 1080p, there's 30, 60 or 240 frames per second 720p is at 960 frames per second offers: HDR 10 your video recording option, which will look at stereo sound record option again perfect to see. Then. Finally, you have a gyro key is an oh is so an is, is electronic image stabilization and then the IS is optical image stabilization, so two different options there. So that's all the camera lens is there and there is load, so I'm looking forward to really dealt with it and using it. So one other thing that I just want to touch on before we wrap up the video is the s-pen that comes with your note 10.

So the note 10 is all about the s-pen here, where you can use new gestures and new controls so for taking photographs as it's showing here, which is really cool, so we can try it out so with the s-pen. You can use, arrange different clicks and gestures to manipulate your way around your device and really enjoy using this with your device and looking forward to delving in, and I think I'll be bringing you a dedicated video all about the s-pen, showing the new gestures, the new control options. So when you're on a lock screen like we are now, if I press and hold the button and then tap the display, then I can begin to write a note, hi hello. So that's cool, there are different options that you can do here and then obviously you can just have fun and do whatever you want to, which is a bit of fun. You'll, save that note there.

You can tap the home button down here at the bottom. I'll save that into your notes, and then you can go back home so now when we want to get into our device, we can use our new fingerprint sensor which works really quickly there. So the S Pen unlocked. So you can use that as well, so you can use the S Pen to unlock your device, but obviously that depends on when it's with you and obviously be careful with security and settings, but again we'll delve into that a lot more during multiple different videos. So let me know what you think: I'm really impressed with the Samsung devices last year with the lineup that I had and obviously moving forward, we're now in February 2020, and we're going to see the s20 range of devices, and hopefully I'll, have one to look alongside this device as well.

So I've got this for a long time, review I'm, really looking forward to seeing how well this works and how well experiences with my debut line. But let me know what you think down below it's always great to hear from you. It's always nice to read through your comments and I always try to reply as many as I can so another question that I would like to ask: is what videos would you like to see? Are there any videos you'd like me to make on this device? So please leave a comment down below, and I'll be more than happy to help a massive thing. He goes out to Vodafone, who did supply this device for the channel? The link will be in the description of this is on my contract option via Vodafone. Again, the link will take you to them options.

So, if you've enjoyed this video, please make sure to hit that subscribe. If you haven't already ring the notification, bow, and you'll be updated with loads new videos on the Samsung Galaxy note, 5 gee thanks always watching and for me Ricky I will see you really soon bye for now,.
