Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 Specs and Release date - GOOD NEWS

Let's talk about the oh, that's clapping, that's not a full! What kind of fold three! That's just we're! Gonna talk about the full three! I know! There's a horrible intro! Listen, they say you have to. You have to have a hook to get you to stay, and I'm like there's nothing. I could say I can promise you. That's going to overcome my rambling, but hey. If you're here. I appreciate you so the full three now full disclosure.

I was a little of a skeptic when you can go back and watch fold. Two I was like. I don't know man, I don't know who this is for its kind of expensive. It's true. Durability is kind of sketchy, it's true uh, but everything else.

I was kind of wrong on, and so I've used it I've liked it. It's definitely going to be for the enthusiast right. I don't think the average person is going to walk in by a folding phone uh, but I think eventually that will be a thing. And so let's talk about the fold three enough, rambling for now uh. What are the specs? Well, here's the big thing right.

We have the snapdragon 888, we have 12 or 16 gigs of ram 256, gigs of storage or 512, maybe a terabyte, but from what I've seen like Samsung right now and everyone's having issues with every electronic gadget, whatever even cars are having issues, because the chips and shortages is just crazy, everything's, short shortage, there are shortages everywhere and so uh this year. I wouldn't be surprised if they do offer like a terabyte model, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're like right off the bat discontinued the day after pre-orders go live just because it seems like what's what they do, but anyway, moving on it's going to have ultra-wideband technology. It's going to have NFC the latest version of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 6e type c 25 watt fast charging wireless fast charging all the stuff that you've come to know and love about Samsung. It's all there for you. What are the wild cards? Well this year, it's going to be the under display camera sense UDC.

Apparently it's called UDC. I thought that was an acronym for some disease, but UDC is under display camera sensor, minus DS. I threw that in there just to confirm, and so potentially both lenses. Well, the outward camera right that little hole, punch that we currently have, and the inward camera are both going to be under display camera sensors now uh. Is it guaranteed? Now and here's why I'm kind of concerned, but also you know I have to I have to table those concerns.

I don't want to borrow tomorrow's problem because it doesn't exist. Yet I don't know if Samsung sacrificed a lot of quality just to get those under the display. Like I don't know if that's a thing, so I guess we'll have to wait and see I've seen some tweets max Weinberg a couple. Other people said: oh, don't get too excited about the camera sensor, but at the same time- and let's talk well before I get to that- the rear camera sensor, the main sensors, if you will also not look like a significant upgrade here right. Obviously, size is a big thing here and trying to keep things compact and being able to fold and stuff they're not going to be able to throw the s21 ultra camera module domino thing on this at all, but they can still tweak the software.

They can work with the new snapdragon chip and a bunch of other things to make the photos look better right, which is all that really matters, so we'll see um, but I would argue- and this is what I was going to get to in it well earlier until I distracted myself is uh, I don't know many people buying the fold, phones, any of them that are like. Oh, I need the best camera like you're, not you don't buy a fold in my opinion because you want the greatest camera like. If that's the case, you're probably going to go buy, I don't know a pixel you're going to go, buy the s s21 ultra the note 20 ultra the iPhone 12 Pro, and so you know some people are getting caught up on the whole camera thing and I get it for the money you should want the best. But I think you are just the best that they can get into that form factor and so moving on. What else can we expect? Well, apparently, it's going to be a being under display, everything's under display like under display.

I feel like we're going to get to that point. Uh fingerprint reader right now, you can, you have the one on the side, the capacitive, and it is nice, it works pretty. Well, I'm a fan of it um, but apparently we're going to get the in-display fingerprint scanner on the fold here now, I'm not sure if it's going to be on the inside display or the outside. Just I'm not sure how that's going to work, maybe it'll, be both that'd, be cool. I'm sure they're going to try to at least have some facial recognition, whether it's like the perfect kind where you actually, you know, need more than a photo or if it's going to be the kind of while this is kind of secure and then just try if it's like.

Oh, I didn't even look, and I'm in my phone. Okay, we don't know that for sure right and so what else are we going to get? Well honestly, durability is probably the next big thing right there. They have a new frame that they're marketing this I can't remember the term they're using its, not armed fiber, but effectively they're trying to instill confidence that hey this thing is not going to break like you know our first one did and and and granted I would say it's some YouTube viewers, I think did botch it, but I also think Samsung was kind of loose they were. They were trigger-happy getting these things out there and then oh whoops can't have that going on, and so we'll see, but I think, leaning into making this thing more adorable and making sure that people have some level of confidence that hey this thing isn't going to shatter. If I just look at it wrong, that's a win, and so what else are we going to get right? We get this more durable frame, IP rating.

Maybe I don't think it's going to be a thousand leagues under the sea where you can just drop it like. We see everything, apple, proud and then go to the like 10 weeks later, and it still works. No, I think this is going to be like. Oh, like a little baptismal amount of water. I'm sorry for getting you wet uh.

I don't think that's! Furthermore, I don't think. That's that's going to be a thing. I think it's going to be like. Oh, a raindrop can hit the screen, and it should be okay, and so we'll see what that looks. Like all kidding aside, it is nice to see that they're trying to get these certifications right because I would argue the two biggest things: keeping people from hopping on the fold.

Bandwagon well price, obviously, which hey listen. Apparently the price is coming down a little. We don't know for sure, and a little is still a lot of bites for most people right like oh, it was two thousand dollars last year now it's going to be 18.99. It's like that doesn't seem like much of a deal anymore, but all kidding aside, it's nice to see the price come down, it's nice to see them lean into, or at least attempt at making this more adorable and so uh IP rating, more durable frame, more durable screen. Now, how do they do this? Because I'm, I'm not a mathematician, but they're like the screen's 50 smaller, but it's like twice as durable, I'm like how did how is that a thing? And so, if that's true, that's great, because the next leak in rumor that is somewhat dying off a little- is uh s pen support for this thing, which I've already said if they can get s pen support for this, this folding z, flip and all of them all the folding phones s pen, support, I'm like that's gonna, be awesome like the s pen is great on every device.

Now you have it on a fold. So it's like you have a tab s whatever and a phone in one. It gets kind of crazy thinking about that, but I think if they can get that locked in and nailed that's going to be great now, where are they going to put this s-pen? I don't know because clearly it's not going to fit into the phone at least from what I've seen. That's, not even a rumor. So is it going to be like the s21 ultra, where you have the case that it kind of sits in there? Maybe, but even then, it's like okay went on this.

This z fold uh three and two they're thick now we're going to have a case on top of it make it even thicker. I don't know what that'll look like, but again it's exciting to see right. I think Samsung's going to keep pushing these folding phones out. Furthermore, I would not be surprised to see them kind of abandon the note line and make the folding line up their new like mainstream. Here's, your pro productivity beast, whatever you want to call right, the thing the note represented for a while, and then it became kind of like a s21 ultra s.

If you will, I know people are going to get mad, but that's kind of what it feels like to some people. With the note it's like. Oh, this is just an s. You know whatever, with squared off and a little bigger, which is fine. I like that, but I would say that the z fold three, if it's getting s pen support, and it's getting more durable, and they're, bringing the price down like that to me tells me they're really going to position this as the note replacement, but we'll see you, let me know what you're excited for down below again.

Some of these are not new really to phones at all, but they are new to the fold, and so I think they're bridging the gap between like the s21 ultra-right, where you have it in display fingerprint scanner and some of these niceties I think they're bringing that over, but obviously they can't bring over like the camera module size just not going to happen, they can't bring over some other things either, and so we'll see- and the last thing I want to touch on- is battery life now granted. Now that all of these displays right on the outside and inside 120 hertz, you have UN under display camera sensors uh, you have a more powerful processor, all the stuff the battery size technically is smaller than in the fold too. Now what I can say again, just like apple, it's not unique to apple when they design these chips, snapdragon, whoever Qualcomm, you name them they're, always more efficient, at least they're supposed to be, and so I wouldn't get too caught up into the number game. Right like. Oh, it's.

You know 4 400 William hour rumor for this year and last year was 5048 yeah, like that, should like to give you like pause, maybe like a little what's going on here, but at the same time the 888 is way more power, efficient, uh and so there are more things than just a number at the end of the day. But that's it for me again. I know these rumors are kind of the staying the same, but we're starting to weed out. What's not really going to happen and those crazy renderings where it's like, I don't think that's happening. You know I've seen rumors of the crease disappearing, which I'm like maybe going away a little, but I don't think disappearing, but you let me know what you're most excited for uh.

I know I rambled on a bit, but hey that's how I do things. John no scripts, just go nuts whatever I want to say to the cat: well, not whatever I have to be careful, but well, if you did make it this far, and you're a note fan, or you're a Samsung fan or you, like all tech like uh like this guy here no brand allegiance here. Um well, do those three things and if you don't want to that's fine, I understand that you may most people don't make it to the end of the video you've already clicked on to something else. Just because that's how things work! Listen, I do that too. I've already clicked off myself that sounded weird.

I'm going to go now.
