Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 MAJOR Design Change | GTVDR147

What is going on guys welcome to Gretel's TV daily rewind. It's where we go back a week. Give you all of your tech news stories in one single video and in this video we talk about the OnePlus 9 OnePlus 9 pro and the OnePlus watch a lot of information leaked out about those phones. We go pretty in depth with it. We also go in depth about the Galaxy Z, fold, 3 and one of its newest best features in terms of its design. The design is going to be much improved, and we talk about that and so much more so enjoy this week, and we'll see you in the next one.

Let's get into the tech news. First, two stories actually are about the one plus nine, and I think you're going to be pretty happy, at least with at least one of these stories. The first one is about the charger. Is it going to come with the charger in the box, or you're going to have to pay for it separately, because if you remember OnePlus, not so much OnePlus, but other companies such as Samsung and apple and other companies as well, are removing the charger from the box. What about OnePlus on their OnePlus 9.

? This comes directly from OnePlus. This is official guys. Peter LAU, head of uh OnePlus came out and replied to someone's response on their message. Boards and the guy said new phones launched without chargers. Peter Lowe responded, don't worry about it.

We have the charger inside the box. So if you're curious about the OnePlus 9, if it's going to come with, you know their ultra-fast 65 watt charger it will. This is great news. The other piece of this is they have officially let out their OnePlus 9 or what it's going to officially look like there's a little teaser video I'll link it down below. If you want to watch it, but basically this is going to be what the phone at least the back of the phone looks like with the Hasselblad cameras on there, and we're looking at March 23rd as the launch date for the OnePlus 9 pro.

I know most, you guys are Samsung fans that watch my videos, but if you're an OnePlus fan you know, give me a little comment down below letting me know that which OnePlus you have and which one plus you plan on getting maybe in the future last story of the day, is all about getting a little piece of the future for under a thousand dollars, aka getting a folding phone from Samsung, a good folding phone for under a thousand bucks. But if you live in a state that charges tax, which is most states, it'll, be over a thousand, but if you're not, it'll be under it'll be under a thousand bucks. So here we go check this out. You can get a Galaxy Z, flip 5g, directly on Amazon, no trade-in required for 999.99, just a penny under a thousand bucks, and you can get their latest and greatest z-flip with 5g 256 gigs of storage and available right now, by the time I look at it, says, there's 10 in stock. Obviously you can probably add it to your cart and get one delivered later if they run out but yeah looking at the future of phones.

If you want a futuristic phone this time for under a thousand bucks, this uh should satisfy your appetite, have a great day of tech news today. So let's dive right in the first story of the day is all about the pixel phone. Now, if you remember, we had a story. I think was last week when uh john prosper who's, mostly known for his apple leaks, has put out some google stuff, saying: google stuff new Pixel Buds coming mid April, new google phone scheduled for June 11th 2021, not sure exactly which one it is just yet and that's kind of we really speculated. Oh, is it going to be their folding phone, because there are rumors that Google Pixel will be launching a folding phone akin to a Galaxy Z fold two.

You know something similar to this in size and the way it functions, but we weren't sure. Well, it looks like we have some more information that kind of finalizes exactly which device will be released on that date, and it looks like his latest tweet from today says: source has confirmed and followed up the pixel device coming on June.11Th is the pixel 5a, not a big shocker they're looking to release, you know kind of like a flagship phone and then a little lesser of a phone but based off the phone they had just released um previously, so the pixel 5 is already out pixel, 4a and Pixel 4a 5g are also out, and then it looks like the 4a will probably be let go a bit or even maybe reduced in reply price, and then at that point we'll have the pixel 5a to kind of take the place of that phone, which is kind of like a. I guess a straight up: mid-tier phone, maybe even a little less than a mid-tier phone, but yeah this should be a phone that is very reasonably priced with solid cameras, solid display. You know everything just kind of little above average, which you could probably say the same thing about the pixel 5, because it really wasn't that flagship of a phone had some cool features and overall, but it's pretty much a mid-tier device, and this is kind of like a lower to mid-tier device as well, but June 11th, pixel, 5, 5a and the last story of the day has to do with the Galaxy Z fold. Oh, look at it almost fixed itself, z-fold three, it's still broken, but yeah z-fold, three, which would be the successor to the z-fold two look at.

I just rubbed it and it is. It did its thing interesting. Actually, let me open while I'm on here with you guys. I know this isn't part of the news. Yeah! Won't.

Let me do my code whatever, but what I wanted to say is that the Galaxy Z filter. We have some information. I mean take this with a grain of salt. It might not come true, but it's very, very interesting check this out now. This is coming from a blog here, and I'll link, the blog down below.

If you want to check it out, it is saying the Galaxy Z, fold, 3 model thickness and weight reduction, confirmed the galaxy fold. Three is thinner than the current model. For the first time, the display port is the first Samsung flagship uh model to introduce the integrated polarizer technology, which can significantly reduce its thickness. In addition, the improvement of the hinge structure is expected to improve the weight and thickness more tangible than the current one, possibly thinner, which is going to be great. It's already thin, but like especially when you close it, it feels thick and if they can make it when it's closed, if they can make that feel, thinner and just overall thinner.

Overall, even though I can fit this in my pocket comfortably, it's just going to make it feel sleeker and way more modern, and even though it's a crazy, modern design, meaning that you know you can fold this and have this huge display, but then close it and have a skinnier. You know longer display it's just going to make it again that much cooler and better feeling, and hopefully, maybe even more sturdy which for me, I need that, especially after dropping this and breaking it. I'm excited for this. I think we're going into a phone that I thought was gonna, possibly only be marginally better to something. That's actually a lot better.

So you're, looking at thinner, lighter more sleek, more modern s, pen integration, s, pen support, so you can use an s pen on the phone cameras that are hidden underneath the display that you don't see. I mean this is looking really, really nice and also, I would highly expect to be much improved cameras, probably the same cameras, if not better than whatever, on the galaxy s.21 ultra is my guess, but very exciting. Let's get into the tech news first story of the day is about the OnePlus 9. Now this phone is due to launch on March 23rd, and maybe you want the wallpapers for this phone. Well, you now can there's a link down below to download the official wallpapers for the OnePlus, 9 and uh.

You can obviously put these on any phone that you have of a galaxy phone, an iPhone or some other phone, and the last story of the days you might have seen is Samsung's galaxy awesome. Unpacked event, you might be curious, is it going to be their new folding phone or new galaxy phone or new tablet or watch or headphones, or something like that? Well, it is brand-new phones, but it might not be a phone that you want. It might be, but it's not one of these. You know premium ultra-high, you know performing phones, let's talk about it, it's going to be the launch of their a52 and 72 smartphones, which you can see right here. They were.

These phones were leaked out about five weeks ago at this point bye van class. These are this. Is going to be what they look like, so they're going to have that center punch hole, they're going to have a very galaxy look to them in terms of the phone overall, but in terms of specs you're. Looking at something that's going to be. You know 1080p plus display resolution with 120 hertz or 90 hertz.

If you get the LTE version, a mid-tier, snapdragon processor, six to eight gigabytes of ram 128, 256, gigabytes of storage, a headphone jack, so if they're going to be solid. Mid-Tier phones, but they're not gonna, be these ultra premium phones that you're, probably looking for at least I feel like some of my audiences that way, but these should launch um just based off of the detail in the picture. I showed right now March 17th, and then I would assume they're probably going to be available, maybe then, or even a week or two after that, so these phones should be available very, very soon. Let's get into the tech news. We only have one story today, but is a very uh cool story about the OnePlus 9 pro and the OnePlus 9.

Now we're gonna. Take a look at these. These are gonna, be official photos of both of these phones. Both phones will be unveiled on March.23Rd on a live uh should be a live or somewhere recorded, unveiling of the phones with everything known prices, specs everything, but it looks like we know a little about the phones more so than just what they're going to look like. So just right off the bat, the OnePlus 9 pro will be the ultimate best version of the phone that they released for 2021 unless they release something later on, but it should be the very top of the line.

The OnePlus 9 probably is going to be made of plastic, or at least have a plastic surrounding of the phone, the shell of it and then beyond that. You would probably also expect that the OnePlus 9 would probably have a lower resolution. I would guess, but probably like full HD, plus versus 2k, plus on the pro version, but anyways, let's get to what these phones look like. First we're going to look at the OnePlus 9 pro and the 9 pro. Both these phones look very similar.

You know side by side when you look at these phones on the front again they look pretty freaking similar. I would expect these uh, the OnePlus 9 pro to probably have a bigger display as well. Both should have OLED displays, and it should at least 120 hertz. I would expect on both of these phones. As for the back again, they both look kind of similar as well uh.

The big difference is: there's a there's, an extra sensor on the nine pro there, but let's take a closer look at these. So on the front here, this is the OnePlus 9 pro. Where you see you get the camera cut out in the top left, which is smack dab on the display and then some small bezels at the very top and very bottom, and then really nothing on the sides. There. You get your volume on the uh on the right, and then they actually have the mute switch on the right and then the power button on the right and then the volume on the left there.

It looks like and then beyond that here's the back a little closer look at it with the cameras and the sensors and the Hasselblad camera branding on there flashes everything else on there OnePlus branding, it doesn't say one plus nine pro or anything on here. So you really. It might be a little difficult for you to differentiate on the back here, but that's what the back will look like and then here's a little side view showing the camera bump for the nine pro it's for today's standards. It's actually pretty small for a camera bump, which is, I guess, nice to see. You don't want that huge uh, protruding camera bump on the back and then here's a little of a side view.

You know the kind of side view angle showing off the other side of the left side of the phone for the nine pro. Now, let's take a closer look at some other colors for the nine pro, so you saw that we'll have a silver and then like a greenish, color and then the last one is a matte black. For me, I guess I would probably go with the matte black green looks cool too and then silver, but the real cool colors are with the one plus nine. Let's check these out. First, you see you'll get blue, which looks amazing.

I love the blue color, and then you get the matte black, but then, if I could choose any of these, I would definitely choose this kind of interstellar purple color, and you can see just the back here. You get the two cameras, the sensor, flash Hasselblad camera branding, OnePlus branding as well, and then taking a look at the front of the phone you get the small bezels at the top and the bottom and then the buttons again same cam uh buttons layout. As the nine pro same. Look as well, you get the camera cut out in the top left and then a side view of these cameras look basically exactly the same in terms of how much they protrude versus the 9 pro, but not as much as some other phones on the market and then here's another angle from the left side showing off the 9. What do you guys think of the look of the OnePlus, 9 and 9 pro? I really wish they would give cooler colors on the pro versions of not just the OnePlus phones but like the Samsung phones and all these other phones, we're stuck when you get these pro models.

You're always stuck with these colors that are just either like black or gray, and that's pretty much it. We don't get these cool generally. We don't get these cool, you know purple colors or blue colors, or you know it's generally for these, especially on the android side. It's generally, for you know, the lower price lower end phones that they release. Let's get into the tech news first story of the day is about one plus OnePlus event is coming up march, 23rd, and they're going to talk about their one plus nine and one plus nine pro phones.

But what else are they going to talk about? That's right, it sounds like they're going to be talking about a new smartwatch. They put out some tweets today in a semi-cryptic way, but ultimately the tweets themselves are a short little teaser, and they also posted this. On their forums, their official forums teasing that a wearable with a set of images was uh. They played, with the words a little with club, the word clock wash and time throughout the tweets here and ultimately, they are obviously speaking about a smartwatch coming over to their platform and there's been rumors about a smartwatch coming out from OnePlus. As for what software it's going to run, I don't know if it's going to run Wear OS by google.

If it does then okay, but if it doesn't, it's going to be a separate platform, meaning app support, I can't imagine is going to be that great, especially if it's a completely separate platform. So hopefully it runs, Wear OS because, generally, what else is it going to run at this point with Samsung, seemingly moving away from their own ti zen software over to Wear OS? With this new galaxy watch, 4. Apple has their own. Obviously, android watches aren't going to run on apples, so it looks like wear. Os is probably at least here in America and throughout most of the world, one of the few operating systems that'll have a lot of support for it.

So we'll see what happens about march, 23rd, OnePlus, new watch and the last story of the day is kind of like a discussion of sorts, because it was a very slow news day and I kind of wanted to bring this up. I see it a lot on. You know people that I follow-on Twitter and them just talking about how many ads they get on their Samsung phones like within apps within notifications, and things like that, and I'll admit for myself. I personally don't get that many notifications or even see many ads on my Samsung glorifying or promoting any you know, Samsung products or Samsung services or even other apps that they want me to buy into the reason being is because, usually when you go into a Samsung app and let me lower the resolution, I mean the brightness on this a little. For instance, I was getting them on the galaxy app which allows you to get updates for certain Samsung galas.

But if you go in there, if you're getting those updates, uh and notifications telling you that you're getting you know, tons of uh, or they're, just promoting their products, find it on your app screen press and hold it hit the and then go into notifications and turn off promotions, and just the notifications themselves should be turned off, so you shouldn't get them through that you can pretty much do that with any of the apps like. I don't use Samsung health, but I noticed right when I was trying to open it. Hopefully it'll still be there. I don't know if you can see that, but it says Samsung health also needs the following permissions: physical activity. I can also click on get notifications for Samsung health promotions and marketing info.

Furthermore, I don't want that, so I'm not going to click on that. If I did click on that, though, I should be able to go in here and find the health app and go into again. The app information go into notifications and I should be able to see if there are promotions or something in there and there is marketing notifications. I can turn that off. It should help with some of that promotion, but you're probably still going to see within certain Samsung apps, unfortunately, that they're promoting other products and things like that, and it's a pain in the butt.

I saw a post on Reddit, and you know if you read it, there's a there's, hundreds and hundreds of uh posts in here from people talking about how bad the notifications are, that they get and ads that they get within Samsung app. So it's probably not fixable, but I feel like if we make a big enough fuss about it, especially paying if you buy a flagship phone up to 2 000 or more for some of these flagship phones and still getting ads and notifications about products that they offer that we probably don't want in there. It's a bit much, let's get into the tech news first story of the day is about the Apple HomePod. Now that is their device that came out about four years ago at this point, and it's a big old hunk of chunk smart speaker with Siri built into it. That allows you to listen to music and control your smart devices and ask it questions, and it looks like they're going to discontinue it, and it doesn't look like they're going to replace it either looks like they're going to focus on the mini their HomePod mini, which goes for about a hundred bucks.

The HomePod was going for 300 bucks, and they told this exclusively to tech crunch um not a huge deal. I guess I don't even 300 bucks is a really expensive, smart speaker, especially one without a screen. I can see them doing the home pod mini, but then I can also see them eventually going over to something that has a display on it. So we'll have to wait and see if they end up doing that, but the home pod, the original one, the big hunk and chunk of one no more next up is about the OnePlus 9 pro. We keep getting more and more information about the nine pro and the nine, but this one's exclusively seemingly about the nine pro, and it's going to have some crazy superfast wireless.

That's right! You heard me wireless charging, that's going to be even faster than the charging you can get on a Samsung Galaxy phone check this out. So this is exclusively on price baba daily, saying the OnePlus 9 pro will support 50 watt wireless charging, and if you do want that, they'll sell an upgraded wireless charger at launch alongside the device they don't say how much the wireless charger will cost. I would imagine it's going to be expensive, 75 or more dollars. I would maybe 100 who knows it's going to be very, very expensive, but very lovely, because wireless charging, I think, on Samsung phones, it's only like 15 watts, 50 watts, guys the fastest. You can charge on the s21 ultra, it's 25 watts.

A year ago with the s20 ultra. You could charge it 45 watts, but there really wasn't a huge difference between 45 and 25 50 watts baby. This is amazing, plus it's wireless and remember their wired. Charging is 65 watts, really, really great statistics based off their charging and the last story of the day, a very slow news day, but I kind of want. I like doing these like little questions and answers that I find on Reddit and I don't know just cool to uh to run through them, and it has to do with the galaxy s20 ultra versus the s21 ultra and which one you should potentially buy, because you can get some great deals on the s20 ultra, especially for it being a year old at this point and they're in the comments they list some great reasons, and I'm going to throw a couple of my own, but I think there's one comment: kind of pretty much sums up the reason why you should upgrade to the s21 ultra, and I've already done a video on this.

But I did it months ago, but anyways, let's go back to this, so you can see the question at hand that came up, and the guy's like hey. I can get a s20 ultra for 200 less than a s21 ultra, but there's a great comment in here for marvel man for Iron Man, s21 all the way better cameras which I totally agree and also with the better cameras. Don't forget you're not going to have autofocusing issues like you do on the s20 ultra s21 ultra does not have autofocusing issues with things close up faster processor, totally true 888 versus 865. You're going to notice a huge difference day to day, probably not, but it's nice to have that extra horsepower, underneath better fingerprint sensor. Without a doubt, the fingerprint sensor is so much better on the s21 ultra versus the s20 ultra more accurate and uh, seemingly a little faster, better battery life too.

That's one thing I noticed as well. The battery life is pretty darn good on the s21 ultra versus the s20 ultra, you know, maybe it seemingly I mean I can definitely get a full day out of this. For the most part, I do have to charge up, but I can get pretty deep in the day before I need to charge up with this plus, don't forget you're, getting the full max resolution getting 2k, plus at 120 hertz. It's only 1080p 120 hertz on the s20 ultra, not a huge deal, but it's nice to have that extra resolution. Better speakers I feel like anyway, I'd have to compare them, but from what I remember, this definitely has better speakers than the s20 ultra, and then I mean there are things about the s20 ultra you might want to.

You might want the micro SD you might want the faster charging. It has 45 watts versus 25 watts, again you're not going to notice a difference. Beyond that I don't know I would. I would go this phone too. The SD card isn't a big deal to me.

I for most people. I know some of you think and know, and you don't you really don't need it just get more storage on the phone. It's fine, but I would go s21 ultra. I would totally recommend this one. Let's get into the tech news.

First story of the day is what the Galaxy Tab s7 light now. This would be like a mid-tier tablet akin to what we saw with the Galaxy Tab, s7 and s7 plus, and when you think of this, when I say mid-tier, I mean mid-tier like all the way across the board, pretty much so, let's check out this information. This is a photo and this photo is saying that the Galaxy Tab, s7 light, will be launching in june 2021, so you're looking at another three months or so. Until this tablet launches it will have a 12.4 inch display and if you can see it's a little hard to read, but there's some black font writing under there saying it's going to be 2560 by 1600 with the WGA laps TFT display. So I believe that will be an lcd and not an OLED display, which would kind of make sense in a way, especially if they're trying to keep costs lower on this and then over the left.

You can see 12.4-inch large screen, 5g connectivity. If you buy the 5g and then galaxy continuity. They say that words right, that's when you use it a certain app, usually first person, your first party apps on, say, like your galaxy phone, and then you can start using it immediately right where you left off on the tablet and vice versa. Now, with this tablet, 12.4 inches is absolutely humongous. So it's going to be a media leveraged dream.

It should have s pen support too. I would assume, especially with a display that large and then the price again. This is all uh assuming I would assume it's probably going to be the five. Maybe six hundred dollar range, so it's looking to probably be kind of expensive, but if you're looking to get a huge tablet for a good price, this might be the way to go. Last story of the day is all about the iPhone 13 and if they're going to use the fingerprints underneath the display or not- and it looks like touch ID is going to be in screen touch I'd just like you get with the galaxy s21 ultra, for instance, so the s21 ultra uses the latest Qualcomm fingerprint sensor underneath the display.

So if you have this phone, and you've tried against other phones from the past, that Samsung has put the in-screen fingerprint. You notice that you don't have to press as hard. It's more accurate, it's more fast. It has a larger display area. Now on there that it'll, actually capture your fingerprint.

It just seems more precise. Overall, an iPhone is looking to the is to do the same exact thing with their next iPhone reason. Being it sounds like is because since covet has come into place and people have worn more uh face, masks that face ID doesn't work as well, even though iOS 14.5 is coming out with an update that will allow you to uh unlock the phone with your face still, but it's going to be not as secure, because it can't see your full display face with your face mask on, and it looks like they're going to be going back to the fingerprint sensor. Potentially, that's the main reason, and I guess the fingerprint sensor still wouldn't be as secure as face ID. So maybe they'll go back to face ID, but if they do all this remembers face ID the reason they have.

This huge notch up here on the phone is because of face ID and the cameras are built up into there, so it would alleviate a smaller uh notch up there potentially you'd also have uh on the new phone they're saying 120 hertz display bigger batteries. So that's some new stuff you can look forward to on the iPhone 13, but again touch ID in display would be uh. The newest thing, thanks for watching, don't forget to subscribe new videos every single day, question out to you guys is: what's your favorite way to unlock your phone? Is it the face? Is it your fingerprint? Is it um a smart lock where you can use like a watch or a Bluetooth device, or it notices when you're at home? I think for me, it's its. It's smart lock, which is built into every android phone, which allows you to unlock your phone with a Bluetooth device if it's connected or a certain location or if it notices it's still on your body. I love that.

So I'd probably be my favorite beyond that, though um I actually like face unlock a lot with the iPhone. It's fast, it's accurate um. I like it a lot. You don't think you have to touch the screen. So I'm down with that.

Let me know what you guys, thanks for watching see you down the road peace.
