Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G Review - The Future of Smartphones

So, what's up folks, this is your tech savant, and today we're going to be looking at the future of smartphones, the Samsung c4 2 5g, okay. So what is this exactly? Is it a phone or a tablet? I'll say it's a foldable phablet right. So let's look at the design of this creation here. The build quality of this is premium. No doubt about it. This hinge is what keeps this thing together.

This is certainly a great engineering achievement and even Samsung says for themselves. The hinge mechanism also has an internal bristle layer that help keep dust and other stuff from getting in there. The hinge itself doesn't feel loose. It feels tight, but not stiff when folding the hinge also comes with an additional software bonus called flex mode. We'll talk about that in a bit in its folded state, we have a narrow cover, display, that's 60, hertz and 6.23 inches and when unfolded, we have a foldable, dynamic, AMOLED, 2x, 120, hertz, hdr10, plus 7.6 inch display that's a mouthful to the back. We have a gorilla glass 6 with a beautiful frosted, matte finish and a triple camera system when folded.

This is a thick boy and does have some with it, but then again we have gotten so used to thinner phone designs and given that its form factor is nothing resembling the gnome, it still manages to fit comfortably in your pocket. In my opinion, its thickness shouldn't be an issue here, neither its overall weight when folded simply put. This is a steady device, especially in its folded state regardless, because of this form factor, I have found myself using both displays with one hand side note here: the smaller display up front is gorilla, glass, Vitus and the screen inside has a protective coating on it, where Samsung has advised against removing, but because of this extra layer of protection, you will find that the surface is not as smooth to the touch but still doesn't take away from the experience folding. This device feels solid and doesn't feel like it's loose to fall apart. I think Samsung did an amazing job with this hinge mechanism.

The fingerprint sensor is also the power button. I think this placement makes sense, since you can basically unlock the device with one hand and yes, the fingerprint sensor upon testing is very fast and reliable. Let's talk a little more about the displays. The main attraction here is the foldable 7.6 inch 120s AMOLED panel, which doesn't disappoint in its performance, typing and multitasking, is easier because of the larger display footprint remember. This is essentially a phablet Samsung.

Really thought of your consumers in that regard. Bear in mind that the crease of the phone is visible, and you'll definitely feel it while swiping across the screen. Yet it doesn't take away from the experience now, despite its innovative design, videos doesn't utilize the entire screen because of the aspect ratio and unfortunately, this can't be adjusted even when it comes to playing games. Some games aren't optimized for this display, so you will find the games have a compressed look but bear in mind. This is not your regular smartphone display.

Most apps right now are not designed for a specific aspect ratio. Essentially, what you'll get is the same experience you will have on an android tablet, which is bigger, blown up versions of the mobile apps. The smaller 16 display carries no complaints and even though it doesn't carry a higher refresh rate, it functions, just as you will expect it to. In my opinion, I think this narrow panel is good for keeping prying eyes away from your device when close to others right. So we have talked about the hardware.

Let's talk about the software experience here, because I think Samsung has done an excellent and unique job with this unique device. You can pretty much do anything on a small display that you can do on the bigger display. This device offers continuity. Let me explain in settings. You can set apps that you want to continue over onto the smaller display and vice versa.

This convenience made sense, as I don't think, you'll be spending all your time on the smaller display anyway, I didn't, then the SFX mode. It allows the phone to have two semi-independent displays like having two separate monitors, as mentioned before, with this hinge mechanism, flex mode automatically activates for selected apps, which is specifically called effect view. This can be used for taking notes, viewing content and even taking selfies as well less after party software support is growing, and I'm really amazed at how Samsung's UI was designed to adapt to this form and its possibilities are endless. Battery life should be brought in the question here, as you may be wondering, since this device basically has two displays. Thankfully, because of the smaller six this panel and the adaptive refresh rate on a larger 120 hertz panel, the 4500 William battery holds up very well and under heavy usage, you can get to a fully Samsung, actually divided the battery capacity into two for this design.

It also goes to show how fast Samsung's software optimization has come with this 25 watt charging speed. These are the charging times you can expect. The default tool can also wireless charge at 11 watts and reverse wireless charging is here as well. Overall performance is by far the best I've experienced on any Samsung device to date, even though this car is a snapdragon 865 plus this and the rest of flagship specs does not disappoint while default to camera setup is not the latest languages that Samsung has to offer. It still does an amazing job.

We have a triple 12 megapixel camera set up at the back, which includes a 12 megapixel main sensor, a 12 megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 12 megapixel telephoto sensor. There are two 10 megapixel sensors for selfies, one on a cover display and the other on the main foldable panel. The camera UI also utilizes flex mode as well, and I can see a lot of content creators taking advantage of this. For most users, the results, as you can see, will be more than adequate all right folks. This is how the front facing camera looks on the Samsung Galaxy z4 2 5g Samsung really did a number with this one.

Folders may not be your thing, but one can't deny that this right here is a feature of smartphones. The question is: are you prepared to pay 2 000 us or more for something like this? The way I see it is, if you are someone that doesn't want to walk around with a bulk of a full tablet, but wants the functionality of one in a small package, then this right here should be up your alley. It's foldable and easy to carry around if having the best multimedia experience on a smartphone is top priority for you, even though the aspect ratio is not what you are accustomed to, then the amazing foldable screen speakers and battery life is more than enough to cover those requirements. If you, however, want the ultimate flex in the latest in mobile technology, this right here is king. If you do care about your device having some sort of IP rating, please note this does not carry any Samsung is set to release the z-fold tree sometime soon, and I would love to see maybe a slightly bigger battery expense support and a reduction in cost to make it much more accessible for everyone.

If you are on the fence of getting one and cash is not a problem, I'll definitely encourage you to go for it or maybe wait until the tree drops. Nevertheless, you won't be disappointed. I absolutely enjoyed using this device and I can't wait to see what the future holds for foldable. I also want to thank Malik's tech for loaning on the device for review link to his page is in the description below, if you guys are interested in getting this or any other device.
