Hey how's it going welcome back to my channel. This is Pradeep, and you're watching vlog of note. We have some rumors about the galaxy watch, 4 classic and the galaxy watch for non-classic. So we have to talk about it. Here's everything you need to know. Let's get started.
Let me start by setting some context here. Firstly, do not buy an android smartwatch right now, don't buy an OnePlus watch, don't buy a fossil watch, don't buy a Samsung Galaxy watch with Dyson, because google themselves are not sure which one of those is possibly going to get upgraded to the new Wear OS 3. Secondly, apple dominates smartwatches. If you look at this report link in the description right below that like button from counterpoint, you can see that in 2020, although the whole smartwatch segment grew by only 1.5, possibly because all of us were locked in our houses, apple's Apple Watch, SE apparently accounted for over 40 percent of smartwatches sold, and this is concrete proof that even a research company cannot get the name of the competition right. The galaxy 3 watch seriously thanks guys anyway.
Thirdly, we should also tell you that in this year may 2021, Samsung and google decided to finally partner up to launch Wear OS 3 on Samsung's upcoming galaxy watch, the galaxy watch 4, because ti zen has been described as a hacker's dream. Now, let's get on to the galaxy watch 4. Apparently there are going to be two versions: galaxy watch, 4 classic that has the classic rotating bezel, it's going to be the more premium smartwatch, it will be made of stainless steel, and it will be available in two sizes, 42 and 46 millimeter options. Secondly, you have the galaxy watch for non-classic. It will be the sportier version, it will be made of aluminum, and it will have two sizes, 40 and 44 millimeters.
Now this one is probably a rebranded galaxy watch active next, let's move on to screen sizes, there are going to be 1.9 inches and 1.36 inches both of the versions even the classic and the non-classic. The difference is basically the rotating bezel. These are going to be AMOLED displays and the resolution is going to be 450 by 450. That's up from 360. It's not going to make too much of a difference.
There will be an IP rating, that's ip68! That means your watch can survive 30 minutes up to 5 ATM. That means you can take it for a swim. It will have mil spec 810g, and it will have gorilla glass DX on the front coming over to the processor, it's possibly going to have an Enos custom, 5, nanometer, processor, 1.5, GB, 16gb of ram and storage. Now this is important, because previously you only had 1gb 8gb now android obviously requires more ram and android apps are actually available for a Wear OS smartwatch. The most important part of this watch, at least according to me, is the fact that the battery sizes are going to be 247, my and 361 my, meaning the bigger watch is going to get you at least seven days of battery life.
Up until now, I have never ever picked up an Apple Watch, although I have an iPhone and constantly use it, because the Apple Watch has really horrible battery life, it will have Wear OS 3 with one UI 3.5, meaning it will be Samsung if I'd. When it comes to the health features, it will have heart rate monitoring. Obviously it will have ECG or electrocardiogram. Hopefully, Google will make this available in more regions, and it will have spo2 or blood oxygen monitoring important in today's pandemic world. Apparently, this watch will be able to tell your body composition in under 15 seconds, whatever that means.
When it comes to pricing and release date, this watch will be unveiled on August, 11th and probably will be available sometime towards the latter half of august. Now I would not recommend you get the 4g version. I would recommend you get the Bluetooth and GPS version. It's probably going to be available for the classic version at about 400 or 30 000, Indian rupees. If you want to get the non-classic version, it will probably be available at about 300 or 20 000 Indian rupees.
Now, here are my predictions. Firstly, smartwatches are going to explode as people move out and about. Secondly, android finally has a smartwatch that you can recommend for users who don't have a Samsung phone, and finally, competition is going to go up a gear, see what I did there. Thank you so much for watching this video, if you enjoyed it, give it a thumbs up.
