Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Review: Not Giving Up By Thao Huynh

Okay Samsung refuses to give up on tablets and, after using this galaxy, tap Essex extensively, I'm sort of glad they haven't. Let's get into my experience with it. The tablet comes available in two versions, but with both supporting a micros card to add more storage, the two gigabytes of RAM is the key difference. I've personally been using the six gigabyte option, there's also an LTE version for those who want to stay connected at all times. The tab at 6 comes packed with a very, very good-looking screen, combined with great sounding quad speakers. I was blown away by how vivid and detailed the screen was for watching content, especially at night.

Thanks to that Super AMOLED technology using it in outdoor environments, though I found the screen to get just bright enough. I do recommend some sort of screen protector, as I somehow managed to leave a few scratches in the first few days bottom line, though you will not be disappointed when consuming content with this screen to unlock the tablet. Samsung gives you the option between face unlock and an optical fingerprint scanner. That's tucked under the display. The tablet should easily get you through even the most intense workday and maybe even multiple days with lighter usage.

A 15 watt, fast charger is included in the box when it's time to charge up something that stood out to me was the 5 to 7-percent, better dream. I was seeing overnight. I set up a base, be routine to automatically put it into airplane mode, while I sleep cutting that down to one percent, so that might be a good idea in terms of cameras, you're, actually getting dual rear cameras, 13 and 5 megapixels, including an ultra-wide on the back and a single 8 megapixel one on the front in good lighting. If you're super picky and walk the absolute best response time for digital art, the Apple Pencil, and it's 120, Hertz refresh rate, has it beat there? Okay, that's not to say the s-pen can't be used for art, though, as it's more than capable, with a variety of drawing programs available on the Play Store. From someone who takes a lot of notes, the s-pen combined with Samson's built-in app gets the job done with a bunch of helpful tools built in where I think the S Pen really shines is when you consider all the extra features it comes packed with my personal favorites are smart, selects right on calendar and the translation function. There's also the remote control feature for use in something like a PowerPoint presentation or air action gestures for controlling the camera, from a distance marketed as a two-in-one. If you plan on doing any significant amount of actual work on the tempest 6, the both cover keyboard should probably be the first accessory.

You pick up, it is an extra purchase and yes, it's a little on the expensive side, but it really does complete the experience. I love the free angle kickstand and with the keyboard ping detachable it's much easier to use in bed or on the couch. The keyboard feels a little cramped with a left shift and backspace button. That's really too small, but it's actually decent to type on. The highlight has to be that there's a built-in trackpad with both left + right, clicks, — finger scrolling and pinch-to-zoom.

If you're using a mouse, you can easily disable the trackpad to prevent accidental touches. Having a solid built in trackpad does wonders for productivity on device. Like this when closed the entire package is still super thin and portable. There are also magnets to keep the keyboard from flying open on its own. On the software front, the tap Essex is running Android 9.0 with Samsung's one UI version of 1.5 in tablet mode. It will feel very familiar if you've used any recent Samsung smartphone, except this app tray, giving you quick access to favorite apps and a new way to run, split screen, Samsung's always been perfect at multitasking and the app tray is a solid addition in terms of performance.

Animations can feel a little jumpy at times, but during my time with the tablet, it's been leg, free and very snappy I, don't think any Android tablet is ever going to win the battle when it comes to having tablet optimized apps, but for the most part, the apps that I've been using on the tab. S6 have run perfectly fine YouTube studio, for example, is stuck in portrait orientation, but substance, DEX mode sort of fixes that issue more on that later element, I missed having certain apps that I used regularly on the iPad Pro, like affinity, photo procreate and notability, although they lack the same polish apps on the Google Play Store, like squid for notes, photo editor for tucking images and sketchbook for artwork to wall as substitutes. Microsoft Office apps worked great too. Keep in mind that you are gaming mobile version of the Microsoft Office apps, so you won't be able to run to Word or Excel documents side by side. If you have a recent Samsung smartphone, you can take and receive phone calls directly from the tablet which quickly became one of my favorite features.

You can also send and response messages to looks like Samson's piecing together. Their own ecosystem, pressing the function plus DEX keys will load up. Sampson Dex mode basically takes the tablet UI and turns it into a desktop like experience, I've always felt something DEX had potential. My biggest bear with DEX on a smartphone is that you still need a monitor, keyboard and mouse set up somewhere to plug into which is unlikely for most people on a tablet, though, it makes so much more sense. There are other little quirks that I'm sure will get cleaned up in the future, but for the most part, DEX is great for those who want more control over their workspace with the tap s6u game. The open nature of Android mix with plenty of handy Samsung software features. DEX mode is the major draw here, as it opens up a lot of possibilities for students and professionals looking for a highly portable two-in-one, it handles most basic business related tasks, very well with amazing speakers and a killer screen its enjoy to use outside of work too. With that being said, I still don't think it's a laptop replacement unless your laptop needs are very basic.

Those just needing a tablet for media and entertainment should probably go with something cheaper, hey if you wanted a top-end tablet. At least you have something other than an iPad Pro to look at now.
