Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Review, Camera Test, Gameplay

This is the Samsung Galaxy Tab as6. This is part of the galaxy line, so it works seamlessly with all your devices, whether you're, using the fancy, Galaxy Buds, or you're on your s10 that kind of sinks back and forth. You can actually answer calls and texts from your phone on your actual Galaxy Tab f6, which is really quite helpful, in my opinion, if you're connected in that Samsung ecosystem. So with this we get an incredibly light comfortable and very cool. Looking tablets I've been using this for a couple of weeks now, and it really is a great option if you are looking for something that can give you a little of productivity while also being something that is easy to work on and use in your day-to-day life, because it is so nice and comfortable and easy to hold and just being incredibly light in general. So with this, there is a pen, as you can see, there's a slot for it.

I didn't get the pen as part of my review package, so I don't have an opinion on that one. It is directly integrated and designed to work with this, so that might be something to look into further. There is also a keyboard, but the keyboard is sold separately, and I also didn't receive that as part of the review thing, the keyboard is meant to sort of enhance and make this into you more of a productive work, type of Android operating system device. So I'm going to pass that there are dual cameras on the back of 13 megapixels and a 5 megapixel, the larger one is the ultra wide-angle and in the future, smart AI there's also just a generally wide camera. The front camera the front-facing camera at the top here is an 8 megapixel, so video wise, the back, does 3840 by 2160, which is the native 4k, but only at 30fps a little disappointing that it doesn't go all the way 60.

Just in my opinion, when you are getting to these more luxury devices, I do have a certain expectation, especially in modern times that we do hit the 60fps I know it's not a big feature, because you know we are not really using this. You know mainly as like a camera, but if you do come to the situation where hey I want to take video on this, just because the situation calls for it, I would expect that high FPS, and you see that similarly on the front which is max out at 1080p at 30fps, so that's even more disappointing because most front-facing cameras these days do offer 60fps just as a standard. So there is 8 K play back up to 30fps on the front screen, so you do get all of that, and the visuals of the actual screen are just lovely. It looks absolutely enchanting, it's visually quite well done. I, think you can just kind of get lost in the screens at times whether you're watching a high quality, video, or you're just scrolling through things online I use it for a lot of browsing and I also use this as a great presentation thing when I'm doing these types reviews, so it's going to be a bit of a shame to send it back, because this is the loaner.

Sadly, so you get a Qualcomm Snapdragon a 150, so that is basically the processor in the thing, so it's pretty quick, pretty good for an Android type device, and you get Android 9pi as the operating system. So there are two options here: you can get a six gigabyte, plus 128 gigabytes, or you can get an 8 gigabyte, plus 256 gigabytes. So the first number is your RAM and your second number is your hard drive space, so you can expand the hard drive with a micro u. s. micros and that can go up to one terabyte of total storage.

If you do somehow have the money to grab that which I believe they're still fairly expensive, I do the one terabyte ones, but you can get like larger expandable memory. So that's a perfect option available within these. That I do think is a nice feature to have, so there's a 7040 mAh battery you're supposed to get 15 hours of video playback and don't think you quite get that much but yeah, it's pretty good! The battery life is kind of insane on this one. It lasts a long time, even with heavy usage. So you can get a lot of work done if you are using it for that particular situation, which is really nice.

So there's a fast charge, C USB, type-c cable. So you can do quick charging and that's your sort of thing. It does charge really fast, in my opinion, for what it is, there's a fingerprint scan option for turning it on, and you get all the other standard sort of lock features. If you want like a passcode and everything like that, so it's fairly standard these days and most devices that are based, you know, touch base and look similar to this with a phone or a tablet. So there's Bixby integration, that is the AI assistant for Samsung devices, so it syncs with all your other fixed usage across everything else that you use them for you just got slide, and he's there and available to help you out.

If that's something you want, Hughes I mean it's available right built into the device. So I guess this kind of nice feature that a lot of people might take advantage of. If that is something that you need in your day-to-day, is that integration it's available, and it's ready to go, so this is again seamlessly syncing between Galaxy devices. Message to that, so you can reply, it off texts, messages or phone calls, and everything like that. So that's really nice, and I mean it should be seamless between families and, of course you get all the the standard, Android and Was, and you can also have the Samsung Apps.

If you choose to install them, they're all there in the start process, once you go through it, there are three colors available. There is a cloud blue, a rose blush and a mountain, great I, think aesthetically. It looks quite nice. I would like to see the other colors of person, because I just saw them online on us, like I, don't know, but I do think visually. It's very aesthetically pleasing just in terms of how thin it is and the design of the overall tablet I think it's very comfortable to hold to very comfortable to use whether you are going for this sort of option or if you are using it like this, which I normally do just because it's more comfortable for reading style when I am using this type of device.

So yeah those are the color options. Then the pens match each of the color options too, which is perfect past. That is five point: seven millimeters of thickness. So it's incredibly thin. It is 420 grams of weight so again very light.

As Sam ole o L Sam o led 10.5-inch screen with 2560 by 1600 resolution screen, 207 PPI and a 16 to 10 screen ratios. There is HDR support, but there's no build lead, vision, support which is a bit disappointing just because this is a more higher-end option for your tablets. But that being said, guilty visions not quite a standard. Yet so it's fine and there's not a lot that uses it, but the same time it would be nice to have that feature for this to be more forward compatible down the line, because that is going to become more of a standard just like Dolby owls have which we'll talk about in a second on this one. So there is Wi-Fi 802, so there's kind of standard, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth live support, obviously, and a USB type-c, which we mentioned poor in the bottom.

So you can use that this has four speakers all the way around, so you get clear loud audio quality. It sounds great for music or video. This was very well done in that regard, to appreciate the speaker setup on this one fully taking advantage of the corners of the device, and it feels pretty good. It's fine when you hold it with listening to like music on full blast, that's good. It doesn't like shake or anything like that.

So that's a nice good contained use of audio and that is sound by AKG, told the Apple support. But you do have to turn that on so make sure you go and turn that on in your settings, so that when it does have with all the animals content, it does actually support it with a proper type of audio quality, because that's important, you want Dolby Atmos, it's just it's becoming more and more of a standard which is great cross devices and that is like just premium sound great quality in general, again, I, listen to music on those like to purchase, Lincoln famous, really things that play kind of like things to them. So you get a lot more of a fuller sound when you listen that kind of music and that's what can I use as a baseline to test the audio capabilities. So there's also an accelerometer, a gyro sensor and a geomagnetic sensor, there's other little sensors too, but those are kind of the key wants to stick out to me being like okay. This really does have what it's going for so game wise.

This is actually pretty proficient for playing games. I played Minecraft Sochi, just to kind of get a sense of what this can do. Game wise and they both performance, so you know with the high visual settings and everything like that quite well, very smooth, very nice. So if you are playing games on this, I can imagine you might be useful work and have a kid to come down and like play on your tablet. It's going to do well for gaming.

I thought it was quite well done just in terms of like the visual quality on the screen, how the games looked, how they played. Everything was very good in that regard. That's an important aspect of like devices these days, the fact that you're able to play them. You know, play games on them and also be able to use them and to play from work. You know actually writing and getting work done on them.

So that's an all-around tablet. It does a perfect job of that I. Think in general, active this and eight out of ten. If you have any questions, let me know we could read my full review in the description below which kind of goes into more of the technical details a little further and more thoughts on the device just kind of going around it again. I apologize I wasn't able to check out the pen aspect of it, but just kind of what it was sent to me and just loan or wives.

So I can take a look at it review it kind of give thoughts overall, very well done tablet. I. Think I checked out the s5e recently too, which is a bit of a lower-end one that has very similar features, but this one definitely is sort of a top of the line, and I'm very you know just kind of blown away by that. What they're able to achieve with the visual quality on the screens and the fact that they're able to make it so thin I was an early adopter on the Microsoft. Surface and I have had older, not galaxy, but older Android device, and just generally the tablets have come a long way, and it doesn't get too warm or anything.

It keeps very cool to the touch and all that even this, by working, pretty hard, and I think they've just achieved a really nice very well done and very aesthetically pleasing design with this particular tablet. I do quite like it, I think it's perfect for stuff I mean I've, been using it a lot for again doing like video stuff. Like this, we don't necessarily need a fancy tablet, but it's also good for just kind of like browsing if you're doing that, or if you want the games you can. If you want nice video playback, you can sit down there comfortably and just kind of like be watching this really. Nice, like it, is a fairly big screen for what it is.

The bezel is quite thin and you kind of just kind of be lost in the visual picture of it. When you are walking around using it or sitting down it's just a nice comfortable option to have in your day-to-day life, if you are looking for this kind of tablet, and it does deliver those high-end features that you would expect and would need. The camera could be a bit better. But it's not really too expected when it comes to these types of devices. It just isn't: I think that about sums it up.
