Samsung Galaxy S21 Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 10! (Comparison) (Review) By Simple Alpaca

Welcome back everyone, let's go ahead and talk about the Samsung Galaxy note 10 and more specifically the Samsung Galaxy s21 and let's go ahead and compare these two devices now. What I can tell you is that at the end of the day, the Samsung Galaxy s21 is by far the better device here, but the Samsung Galaxy note.10 still has a lot of characteristics that still make it a flagship device, and it's funny, because both these things kind of flop with the same areas and in some ways they're kind of a downgraded. You know the same way, but I would definitely say at the end of the day the Samsung Galaxy s21 is by far the better phone here for sure now I will find the cheapest ones of both of these link them down in the description below you can get them from there and help support the channel. At the same time, now, starting off with the front the Samsung Galaxy note, 10 actually did have a 6.3 inch, dynamic, AMOLED display, and it actually is technically a higher just a bigger panel than the Samsung Galaxy s21. So keep that in mind and you're. Also getting you know, center hole punch displays on both.

It was also a full HD panel, so 1080p definitely not a bad panel, definitely not an ugly panel at all, but it was a downgrade in terms of resolution coming from its predecessor, and I think that was one of the bigger issues at least one of the more controversial aspects of this specific device. I mean we had a panel that was 1440p the generation before and then went and downgraded on this panel. It didn't really make too much sense to me. There's no 120 hertz or anything like that. But again you are getting that fingerprint sensor in the display, which is pretty cool.

So keep that in mind. On the flip side, the Samsung Galaxy s21 has that 6.2 inch, dynamic, AMOLED display, so both have dynamic AMOLED displays, but the Samsung Galaxy s.21 does have that 120 hertz refresh rate and, as I stated before, that is a pretty huge asset and there's like geese like chirping outside my house, but that's a huge asset. When you have this type of device, you're pretty much future proofing yourself for pretty much forever. You know I don't know when the next time we're going to get a huge jump in refresh rate, but at the end of the day the Samsung Galaxy s21 really does kill it in this specific department, you're still getting that fingerprint sensor in the display as well. It is a little of a smaller display, but in the hand these two things are going to feel roughly around the same size.

The note 10 is going to feel a little wider. That's 21 is going to feel longer, but at the end of the day, they're going to be about the same thing now they both have USB type c ports on the bottom. The Samsung Galaxy note 10 and the lovely feature that the note series has is that it does have that s pen capability, and that is a seriously some really cool features that the note 10 has. Now. It's not like a mind-boggling thing like I wouldn't necessarily go and like change my phone just because of that, but it really is a pretty cool feature.

The galaxy s21 doesn't support it. The s21 ultra does. But the note 10 has that capability, which is really cool at the end of the day and on the back. We have a glass back on the Samsung Galaxy note 10, but we do have a plastic back on the Samsung Galaxy s21, so this is kind of a pretty big difference. If I'm being honest, it just kind of is kind of unfortunate to be completely honest that the Samsung Galaxy s21 doesn't have a glass back on the back of it.

I think that's a really weird thing. I don't know why Samsung did that. It just seems like they kind of just keep going down and down, and this is just another case of it. I think the Samsung Galaxy note 10 definitely feels much better in the hand, but the Samsung Galaxy s21 with it's you know, plastic bag. You have to it's just like so weird.

I don't know what Samsung was thinking, but I kind of think the s21 still looks better overall than the Samsung Galaxy note 10. So keep that in mind, but in terms of the outside that pretty much covers it up, but on the back of both these phones, that is where the cameras are located and on the back of these two phones, you do have triple camera setups on the back of them. So the Samsung Galaxy note 10 has a 12 megapixel wide nickel lens 12 megapixel telephoto lens, then that 16 megapixel ultrawide sensor with the Samsung Galaxy s21 has that 12 megapixel wide angle, lens 64, megapixel telephoto lens, then that 12 megapixel ultrawide sensor now funny enough. You can do 4k 60 on both these phones, but you can do 8k on the Samsung Galaxy s21. So again, that's just another huge feature that you have on that type of phone.

Now, with the note 10, I had a perfect time with it. I'm sure some of you or most of you have seen that the videos that I've done with it and the quality of that camera was really, really good. You know I didn't really have too many complaints. The front camera is also a 10 megapixel camera that you can do 4k 60 on as well. That's another pretty big advantage that you have with it.

It's definitely not perfect, but it's a still a perfect camera for the most part in almost every single thing you're going to do with it is going to be fine, but, as I stated before, one of the biggest complaints I have with just all android cameras, isn't even the cameras themselves. It's the software most of the time. A lot of these apps, like Instagram tic, talk, Snapchat they're, not optimized, for these phones for some reason, so the quality from their you know, camera is going to look good, but the software, the know, snap chats and stuff just crunch down the photo quality which I really hate. The Samsung Galaxy s21, though, definitely has the better camera setup. You know you have that 8k capability, which is really cool, features wise you're kind of getting the same features though, but the galaxy s 21, with its feature set and its feature ability, is really probably going to be one of the biggest differences here in terms of the camera when it comes down to the 8k for real for everything else, though you're really not going to see too many differences.

If I'm being completely honest, I wish there were more differences, so I can hit on them, but there's really not a crazy amount on the front, like I said before, both can do 4k 60. So that's a really cool thing, but that's really the major difference in terms of the camera standpoint, but that's not even the biggest difference between these two phones. I will probably tell you the number one reason why I would go from a Samsung Galaxy note: 10 to a Samsung Galaxy s.21 is because of the software, and probably even because of the battery. These two things aren't the number one reasons why I would go from the note 10 to probably the s21 now. First, hitting on the software the Samsung Galaxy s21 has come out about two years after the note 10.

So looking at the years, the note 10 came out in 2019 the s21 came on in 2021. So two years difference, we are looking to see that the Samsung Galaxy s21 should, theoretically, you know last at least like two years longer than the Samsung Galaxy note 10. So that is a pretty big thing to keep in mind. If you pick up Samsung Galaxy note, 10 right now, you're still going to be supported, you're going to be getting android 12, but most probably your device is going to end off at android 12. It's not going to get any more features after that which is kind of sad.

It may get security updates. They may even get another update if Samsung pushes it out, but most probably it's going to end off in android 12. Now, that's still not for a while now, so it's not really going to matter too much. You can still like. You know, wait a little longer like that's, not a bad.

Furthermore, you know software life cycle at all, but the galaxy s21 come a year from now is definitely going to be the better pickup because of that software lifecycle, so you know putting everything else to the side. The software longevity on the Samsung Galaxy s21 is definitely going to overtake and outtake what you're going to be getting on the Samsung Galaxy note 10. So keep that in mind. That is a pretty big difference in and of itself. It's not like a CR.

It's not like something I would go out of my way to kind of, like you know, do right now, but that is something to keep on your radar. For the time being and in terms of the battery life, the note 10 out of 3 500 millibar battery, the s21 has a 4 000 William hour battery. Now this is the bigger thing you know both have wireless charging both have reverse wireless charging, which is great, but that increase in the battery size, and the more optimized software that you're going to be getting in the future is just probably going to be more. So you know aiding to the galaxy s21 in the long term than the Samsung Galaxy note 10 right now, so that's a pretty big thing to keep in mind, but other than that, I don't really see another crazy difference between these two phones other than the price tag. That is probably one of my you know: bigger differences for sure.

Now, moving on to the performance side of things, the Samsung Galaxy note 10 had that Qualcomm snapdragon, 855 chipset and autocore CPU, with eight gigabytes of ram with the Samsung Galaxy s21, has that Qualcomm snapdragon 888 chipsets inside it with eight gigabytes of ram, as well now in terms of the performance you're, probably going to be shocked, they're both about the same. You know from what I've seen the note 10 when it first came out. I was like so shocked by how fast that phone was that was seriously one of the fastest phones that I've ever used at that time, and even now I mean it's totally pretty. You know: okay performing it's not okay, it's like a perfect performing phone. Still it's not slow at all, but I do think the galaxy s21 is the faster phone, but it's also the smoother phone because of that 120hz refresh rate when it comes down to this type of performance and this type of stuff you're really going to see.

You know faster opening speeds, smoother performances and all that stuff, but that 120 hertz refresh rate really gives you a new type of experience on this type of device, and that is a humongous thing to keep in mind. When you get a phone like this either. One of these you want a phone, that's going to give you the best experience the Samsung Galaxy s21 in terms of a motion, smoothness experience in terms of the speed performance in terms of gameplay and everything that phone is going to be getting you the much better experience that you deserve than the Samsung Galaxy. Note 10. I think the note 10 is still a killer phone in terms of really everything else.

Even the performance, but the Samsung Galaxy s21 for sure is going to be giving you the better performance and just better outlook, mostly because of the newer chip sets. They have the same amount of ram, so ram is going to be about the same, but that 120hz refresh rate is really going to make that phone feel so much smoother for sure. So, in terms of the performance that pretty much covers it up and to kind of sum up, this video and say answer the question: should you go and buy a galaxy s21 a note 10? Should you go and upgrade your note 10 to the s21? This is pretty much. What I'll tell you- and this is what I've been saying for a while, if you own any of the 2019 phones, including the s10 s10e, note 10 here. What I'll tell you is that you're, probably better off keeping these phones, at least for the short term? I wouldn't recommend keeping these phones or buying these phones right now, if you have the chance of picking up a galaxy s21, especially when it comes down to the note 10.

, the note 10 and the s21 kind of flop in the same areas. To be honest, I mean 1080p displays so lower resolution displays than the predecessors, but also no micro, SD card slots either now feature set that note 10 does have that s pen, which is cool, but the Samsung Galaxy s21 also has that 120 here's, the refresh rate, which is another really cool thing I like about that phone. So when it comes down to that specific area, I would probably tell you the Samsung Galaxy s21 is probably the better phone to pick up mostly and, as I said before, this is the biggest difference because of the software life cycle, you were going to be getting a much longer supported phone from the Samsung Galaxy s21 than on the Samsung Galaxy note 10. , the note 10 is still getting android 11 it's going to be getting entry, 12, probably, as you know, Samsung stated. I don't know when it's going to be getting it, but sooner than later you know once that you know once that software comes out officially, but I will definitely tell you the Samsung Galaxy s21 is by far the phone that I would recommend between these two.

It's still not perfect.
