SAMSUNG GALAXY S21 ULTRA UNBOXING & CAMERA TEST

Hey guys! So I just came home, and I was carrying the things we bought from the Samsung Store. Yes guys I pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Of course, during their pre-order period... because I was really after the freebies that come with it. Hey guys it's your Tech Girl, Mary! And welcome back to my channel. I'm so excited because finally guys this is what you're waiting for, the S21 Ultra.

And I'll get ahead of you for the disclaimer, this video is not sponsored by Samsung, obviously, because I bought this with my own money. So everything's here, this is a bit plenty guys so let's prioritize the phone itself. This is the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G in 'phantom black'. And the variant that I bought is the 12 gig of RAM with 256 gig of internal storage. Alright guys there are two choices of color you can choose from from the Samsung website here in the Philippines, but I went for the phantom black.

It was quite the first time in history that I ever chose the black over a more colorful smartphone; you will know why later. We also have a free Samsung Galaxy Tab A, you can see something on it: free and it's not for sale. So we also have a free Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, and since I bought matte black, the earphones were also black in color. And lastly, from my pre-order there is also a free Samsung SmartTag. If you've watched the launching of the S21 Series, you already know what the purpose of SmartTag is, but for those who don't know: it's basically a tracking device.

You can put it in your bag, you can put it on your dog, for example you are walking (then I hope not, your dog got lost) you can track them if it's in the collar of your dog so that you find them immediately, right? All you have to do is connect it to your smartphone, and I think the battery will last for two years. Now, these are the freebies I got guys from the Samsung store itself in SM Sta. Rosa: I have a free speaker, I also have a free power bank, and since I pre-ordered guys, I also have a free 2000 pesos worth of voucher that I can use at the store itself, and choose whatever I want to buy. So I opted for the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra silicone case, and a USB Type-C headset jack adapter. So I got all these guys from just pre-ordering the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra; again, even though the Ultra is a bit pricey to be honest, it feels pretty good if you'll get ‘these' plenty of freebies from pre-ordering on their website.

Anyway, let's clean up in 3...2...1... There, so here's what's left guys at my table because we will unbox these today. And again, this video is just my first impressions and it is not yet the review if you are expecting it. Let's start guys with what really caught my attention during their launch, and this is the SmartTag. It only comes with one color which is black.

So here it is, yes it is small and it has a hole in the top. There, if you want to see it closer. There it is, right? - Our camera shot is creamy. The camera is the first to be appreciated, right? Anyway, this is small because you can really put it in small things too like your wallet, or on your key. (like your car keys) Actually, it's a small Bluetooth low-energy dongle that you can attach via a key ring.

Just pair the SmartTag guys on the Samsung SmartThings application, then it will show in that application the last location of your SmartTag. But I think, according to Samsung, since I haven't tried it yet, it only works on Samsung devices. But I will still try it on iOS and other android devices if it works because obviously, what if you want to buy, right? Then you are not on a Samsung device. The technology is obviously not new guys many are already making this kind of small gadget or again, technology in other brands. But actually it's okay, right? That Samsung provided this 'in house' to also optimize their ecosystem.

For those who have evasive partners here since Valentine's Day is near, if you are doubting... Nope, not like that guys. Let's have faith, be faithful... Next is, of course, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. Again, I got it for free, and this one is in black.

I haven't seen it in person, but I hope it's also matte black like the phone. So upon opening the box, it comes with this small cardboard. (let's see what's inside) We have the paperworks, USB Type-C charging cable, and it has a very small box, and this is where our ear tips are, and it has two extra pairs inside. Aside from that, that is the earbuds itself: there, it's actually matte black. If you guys remember the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live launch, together with the Note 20 Series: they have similar packaging, very identical.

Both of them have the USB Type-C charging port, although in terms of weight guys, right? This is just a first impression: the Buds Pro is heavier than the Buds Live; I'm not sure if it's because of the charging case, or if it's because of the earbuds? Okay, so we just realized right now: it's because of the charging case. So it's heavier because I think, the battery of the charging case of Buds Pro is much bigger than Buds Live. Anyway, let me discuss all of this guys in our separate video of Buds Pro. But one thing I really appreciate guys about this: they've replaced the 'bean-shape' we have on Buds Live which is a bit awkward, and it's really hard to put in the ear. And here it is, like a normal shape of an earbud.

And of course, the silicone case but for later... we will put that when we open the S21 Ultra. ♪ dun dun nun nun~!! ♪ "Moment of Truth. " ♪ dun dun dun dun~!! ♪ Jayson: dun dun dun dun is different... - Mary: Was that for the dead? - Jayson: Yes! Ahhh... ♪ Huuuu.... I can't do it... you do it.

Upon opening the box, obviously guys, we have the phone itself, and wow! Wait, the black color has a beautiful registration on our camera. (very nice) What I'm seeing now: the USB Type-C to USB Type-C charging cable, paper works, and of course, our magical prodder: the SIM ejector tool. And nothing else, that's all guys. All gone. Look.

This is Samsung Care. It has another plastic and actually, it's also black. By the way guys, I just noticed that the plastic covering it is okay for you to remove, because it already has a built-in screen protector. "The phantom black is very beautiful," you can see the color black stand out here in our studio. And again, it looks like this smartphone: it feels like it's made for MKBHD because of matte black everything.

It seems like the smartphone was made especially for him. So if you are a fan of Marques or again, of MKBHD, you might want to consider getting the matte black instead. And thanks to our sponsor of our today's video: dbrand Just kidding, I'm just dreaming! Hello dbrand! You might notice me. Actually guys, the material used here is a good kind of matte because again, my hands have spasm but every time I touch it, the fingerprints can be seen but vanishes quickly, meaning the smudges doesn't stay. so you can keep it clean.

And the camera setup is also matte black, but it's a different kind of texture than the once in the back. And then on the sides, it's not matte black because it's actually it's glossy. It feels weird guys that this smartphone is heavy probably, I'm used to S21 5G because that phone was so small and very light. Just to give you a very quick comparison in terms of sizing: this is the size of the S21 Ultra and the iPhone 12 Pro Max. If you notice, it's a bit taller than the S21 Ultra; just a little bit guys, actually.

Aside from that, the curve is not that extreme on its edges unlike last year's S20 Ultra, which is for me guys I really like because again, a flat screen for me is better than a waterfall or curved display. Another size comparison this one is with the Samsung Galaxy S21: How's the weight, Mary? Guys it's a very heavy device; it weighs 227 grams to be exact, and yes, guys this smartphone is also bulky. These kind of size and weight for smartphones are not good for one-handed use. I just want to say that compared to the Samsung Galaxy S21, it has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the back. Again, this is the best kind of glass you can get on flagship smartphones, as of the moment.

Aside from that, it also has an IP68 water and dust resistant capable of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. And also for those that don't know guys, the S21 Ultra already has stylus support. Sadly, take note huh? We might trigger those using Note Series because they might wonder, "What's the difference with Note if there is also S Pen Support?" Don't worry Note Series users there, because its stylus support is very basic: you can write, you can draw. But the functions that the Note Series has, it can't be done here. Another thing, the stylus is thicker and longer than the Note Series which is slim.

And lastly, there's no hole or entrance where you can hide it. (what are these adjectives I'm saying?) Actually, there are two silicone cases I bought but we'll just put on the gray so there's contrast as you look at it, because if I put on the black you won't be able to appreciate it since it's the same color. There... Isn't it beautiful? Actually, I really appreciate the gray. It doesn't look like gray, it's more of a dirty white; it feels nice, it's no longer that slippery and pleasing to the eye.

Anyway, let's remove it now. Just to add, this S21 Ultra wobbles a lot when you put it on a flat table: it's noisy, a bit annoying when you're typing or whatsoever. Unlike the S21 which is not very annoying, but given its camera bump I kinda expected it already. On the right side of the phone, we have a volume rocker and the power button, below it has dual-SIM slot, of course, the microphone USB Type-C port, and it also has a speaker grill. And just like any other Samsung flagship device, we no longer have a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. And on top, it has two microphones.

Now, let's talk about display: It has 6.8 inches of Dynamic AMOLED display; and yes, this is HDR10+ It's peak (nit) brightest could reach 1500. To be honest, if you are outside then a smartphone... has a peak brightness that reaches to 1500, using 50 or 60 percent will do the job. You can see everything you need to do with your smartphone. And of course, aside from that, it already has the 120 hertz screen refresh rate similar to last year, but the beauty of it this time guys, we can simultaneously use Quad HD+ resolution with the 120 hertz screen refresh rate.

(yes guys, it's very capable) And just like what I said with the Samsung Galaxy S21, the regular one, we also have this one on Ultra: it's bigger and it's actually, I think, 50 times faster than last year's. To be honest with S21, I didn't notice it that much but I like that it's bigger now, because for users with big fingers like Jayson; it registers and reads them well. Aside from the display, the most important part of this smartphone is of course, its set of cameras. It has a 108 megapixels f/1.8 aperture for the main camera, a 10 megapixels periscopic telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. A 10 megapixels telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and a 12 megapixels f/2.2 aperture ultrawide lens; and then for the front camera, it has 40 megapixels. So we try the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, outdoor and yes, it has 5 cameras and 100x zoom range.

And this time, actually, were really impressed with this smartphone. Actually, what really helped guys every time we use 30x and 100x is the new tripod lock feature, which helps the viewfinder to be stable or you know, stop it from moving. That was really my problem previously from the S20 Ultra. And as I said earlier, it has two telephoto cameras. You might think, "it's too much" but I'll just say guys: they have different perspectives.

Aside from those, yes, all of the S21 smartphones in the lineup can now record 4K and 60 fps on all cameras; not just the main camera. And not just that, it can also be 8K at 24 fps. And same with the S21, it also has the new directors view mode: you can capture videos on both the front and the back camera, simultaneously. Yup, those are it for the display and cameras. And aside from those... "What else can the S21 Ultra offer?" Of course, again, it has the latest and best processor as of the moment, which is the Samsung Exynos 2100 here in the Philippines, and for US Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.

Actually, I want to compare the performance, and even the AnTuTu score of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra with Exynos, and the Xiaomi Mi 11 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. And they both have 5 nanometer chipsets so maybe we can do that in the review video. And aside from that, of course, the battery life matters also; knowing that it has the best chipset, it has the best display: and to power it up, it has 5000 milliamp hour of battery capacity. Again, it does not include a power brick inside, but you can buy a 25 watt Samsung Power Brick on their store, or other brands that are much cheaper. But, another disclaimer, it is not capable of 45 watt charging throughout the S21 series, which is quite disappointing on this part for the Ultra.

Because guys if you remember the S20 Series last year, and I think the Note 20 Series, although it doesn't have 45 watt power brick included, it is capable of up to 45 watts. So even if you have optional 45 watt power bricks at home, sadly, you can't utilize it. Anyway, that is it guys for our Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra massive unboxing and first impressions. For the price: it retails for 69,990 pesos. To be honest, for the price and for the ones I got for free: it's actually worth it for me even though I haven't used it much yet.

Why? The freebies are just guys, I think it's around 20,000 worth already. And it seems like you just paid the smartphone for 50,000. Anyway, that is it guys! Again, I have yet to fully try the S21 Ultra... so I can't really totally say if you should buy and get and splurge. Because again, the year has just started; more smartphones will come out, so it's really hard to say that you really go, push it, buy it, upgrade.

(especially if you're still using S20 Ultra) Again, it's your Tech Girl, Mary! And see you on my next video. Bye guys ~ !!.
