Samsung Galaxy S21 / S21 Plus / S21 Ultra Case - Tech 21 Evo Slim Case Review By Roy Florez

All right, hey, what's up guys it's Roy here and with today's video I'm going to be doing an unboxing and review of the tech 21 Eve slim case that you see here in front of you, so the Eve slim only comes in the color charcoal black. This is going to be for my Samsung Galaxy s21 here this phone case comes in at 29.95, so you can go to tech21. com and pick it up if you want to after this review now, full disclosure this case was sent to me free of charge from tech 21, for my unbiased review of the case, so definitely was not paid. So my complete honest opinion on this case review here guys. So with this case unboxing, the tech 21 cases are pretty similar as far as uh universally across the board from the iPhones to the galaxy devices. So, as you can see here, you have a white box with tech, 21 branding here, Eve slim here- super slim non-slip case to protect your phone as it says here and then, of course, there's a picture of the case, and then here it does break down a little about the phone case itself.

So you do get eight feet of drop protection with this case. So definitely being a slim case. It's nice to see that you do have this hygienic protection on the case which I'll go over in a little more in detail here in a minute, and then it is a non-slip grip which uh we'll talk about here in a sec as well and then, like I said it is for the Samsung Galaxy s21. Now they do make this case for the s21 plus and the s21 ultra so do obviously follow the links down in my description and then here on the back of the case, it does have a little of a breakdown as well just almost reiterating what was on the front here. So it does say here: tech 21 pushes the boundaries to develop innovative products that are fit for the modern world and continuously explores new ways to reduce our impact on it.

So that's kind of the stuff up here and then, like I said it does talk about eight feet of drop protection again a built-in hygienic protection. So, as it says here, it's made with materials that help to keep your case clean by reducing microbes by up to 99.99 and then also it's a non-slip grip. So they call if it's a self-healing case, and it's super lightweight compact and very easy to hold, and I can definitely vouch for that and then once again it does talk about easy to press buttons. So we'll do that with my click button test and then here at the bottom, just barcodes and stuff like that. So as far as unboxing it super easy.

You just pull it out here and slide back in, and here is the case itself. So let's go ahead and focus on the inside real, quick, and then we'll talk about the exterior. So as far as the interior goes, the inside of it is basically the same material on the outside. So it's just this really nice smooth CPU material here and then on the insides. As you can see here, you have these just little like pockets or air cushions throughout the whole entire inside the case.

So, as you can see there, it just completely is surrounded with those and then, of course you do have a little better protection here in the corners and that's going to help with that bumper protection when you drop the phone case on the corners, so it's going to help dissipate the energy away and help keep your phone uh from hopefully not shattering with it being eight feet of drop protection. So very slim. So let's go ahead and grab my s21 here now I did go ahead and take off the carbon fiber skin off of the camera bump. So that way you can get a good idea of what it would look like if you had a phantom gray phone. So let's go ahead and just pop this in like so and there it is so right off the bat.

It is extremely slim like it literally does not feel like there's a case on the phone when I'm holding it in my hand, like it, is extremely lightweight. I honestly don't even feel like it's added any weight to it when it's in my hand, as you can see here with the camera bump, you do have a complete cutout to show off that beautiful new design of the camera bump on the s21. So you do have complete exposure there, and then they did go with this design here with the half circle again for the dedicated cutout for the flash there and, as you can see there as well, it is recessed in there. So you do have some raised bezels around that camera. So that way, those lenses and whatnot aren't going to get scratched.

If you do put it back down on some sort of table surface so doing that, let's go ahead and do the shake test. So up at the top, there is going to be a little of a shake, but once again that's always to be expected because, as you can see there, you can kind of see that little hump where the camera protection is, so I don't really ever care if it wobbles a little on a table, but I know some people really prefer it to be a complete flat surface. But once again, if you're protecting your camera, it's almost impossible to get it completely flat. Now, as far as the sides go, you do have some tech, 21 branding here very minimal, but, as you can see, when the light hits it, you definitely are able to see it now. Also, what you're getting is these little ridges all throughout the case on the sides here? So what that's going to do is help add a better grip, so you're going to have a lot better grip protection with those little ridges on the sides there and then, of course you have your volume up and down buttons and your power button here now they do stick up a little as you can see, so that makes it a lot easier to find when you are searching for them with one hand and then on this side.

Of course, there are no buttons, but there is the continuation of those ridges that I'm talking about. So, as you can see here, it does go all around the whole entire phone. Now at the bottom. Here we do have some dedicated cutouts. They went with just a bigger cutout here for the USB type c port and the microphone.

And then you do have a nice little cut out there for your speaker, grille and then here at the top. They did also go with one complete cutout for the two microphones up top as well, so they did not go with the single cutouts for each little one, which I'm okay with it looks. Actually pretty good so yeah, so there is the case on the phone now talking about the hygienic side of things. So I was reading up on it and what's interesting is it's built into the case, so I haven't actually ever seen a phone company talk about that before saying it's built in, and so it says that it works better and faster. So basically, they said after 24 hours, so let's say you're using the phone all day, and you go and charge it up overnight, supposedly, and it's science, so they say it's proven that your phone will be 99.99 cleaned. So basically they say that overnight, when you do pick up your phone for the first time after going to bed, your phone will basically be like, if you just took it out of the box.

So that's pretty cool, especially in these moved times, where everyone's trying to be very clean and very cautious of just germs. So with that built-in protection, with this particular case and pretty much all the tech 21 cases now, that's pretty cool um. So it's pretty amazing with the technology now these days. So let's go ahead and do the click button test real, quick, that's my favorite test. So it's so satisfying to see if these buttons click or not.

So let's do the power button. First, okay, definitely works and the volume up and down okay, so the buttons are extremely tacky and click. So without a doubt it is passing the click button test and then last but not least, let's go ahead and do the QI wireless charging and see how this works out. So with it being extremely slim. I have to imagine it's going to do just fine.

So as soon as I put it on there, as you can see, it instantly recognizes that it is on a QI, wireless charger. So obviously it is definitely QI wireless charging compatible so yeah, not too shabby and then last but not least, let's go ahead and talk about these front lips so with it being a very slim case, um yeah. There is some raised edges, but it's very minimal, but, as you can see, when you do have it up against my fingers, you are able to see that, so it is going to help. If you do want to put the phone face down on some sort of surface like this, and it does have a little of a shake as well when you are laying it flat on the front, but it is very minimal, but once again it does have some edges around those to protect your screen. Now I do have a liquid screen protector on my phone as well, and it is compatible with it.

It is not affecting it at any way or any way. Excuse me so definitely good to now and then last thing, let's go ahead and take a peek there at the actual cut out there for the speaker grill. So as you can see that there is the cutout there, it's very slim minimal, so it's not going to interfere with phone calls or listening to music or anything like that. So definitely a plus there, so guys for 30 bucks. Basically, this is a damn good case um.

It feels perfect in the hand. It is not a fingerprint magnet, which is great a little of some smudges, but that's to be expected with this type of material. So, as you can see there, you can kind of see it, but you just wipe it down, and they're good to go, but at the end of the day it reminds me a lot of the thin fit case from sign, but I like this material better than the sign case, because it does have like this, like grainy matte, feel to it and then with these added grips here, it just feels a little grippier to me in my opinion. But that's just my opinion comment down below and let me know if you have a different opinion, but I do feel like this material just does feel a little better in the hands than the thin fit, and it's not as much of a smudge kind of magnet like the thin fit is all right.
