Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Vs iPhone XS Max! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone, we're gonna, be doing any other comparison, this time around between the Samsung Galaxy S, 20 ultra and the iPhone 10s max. Now, honestly, both of these phones, you know they're kind of a little different. Obviously the Estonia altar being is more expensive phone, so it makes sense why it's kind of a random one, but I'm sure a lot of people still own the tennis Max and was really, really cool about both of these phones is that the s20 ultra is a couple of months into its lifecycle. The iPhone silence max is almost its second year and yes, 20 Ultra has already seen some depreciation in the price. You can pick one up from Amazon for about eleven hundred twelve hundred dollars, which isn't even that much off the original price, but still it's something with the iPhone 10s max. You know when it first came out, is selling for 1099 and right now you can pick one up on Amazon for less than $600 for the base model, which is insane and that's a perfect price to pay for a phone like the iPhone silence max.

That has a lot of going for it dude, so price per dollar standpoint. The iPhone Senna's max might be a better way to go, but the s20 ultra still has a ton going forward to for sure at the end of the day. Now, if you want to pick either these up, I'll leave them linked down in the description below for more ERAS on, so you can get them from the cheapest prices there and help support the channel. At the same time, now, looking on the front starting off with the iPhone 10s max, we have a 6.5 inch, super retina or LED display it's a 12 42 by 2688 panel, and it's a perfect panel. At the end of the day, I've said this about a billion times before, but it's a really good-looking panel, really anything I did with it.

It was perfectly fine, what's really cool about it is that we have forced touch on it, which is really cool. But on top of that we have true tone technology, which is extremely awesome, and basically, what that does be that it just kind of warms the display a little. It's not like a dealbreaker, it sounds like the craziest thing ever, but it is kind of a cool thing to around the display. You have a little of bezel, but not that much at all. It's nothing like to complain about, and you do have that notch up top, which some people might complain about.

Some people might not me personally. It's not really that big of a deal, but you know it is something that some people have. You know brought concerns about, and now with the iPhone 12 coming out, they should be shrinking that bezel down a little for the notch, so that'll be something but in terms of the outside that really pretty much covers it up for the iPhone silence, max I think it still holds up quite well, whereas on the galaxy 20 ultra, you can definitely see it does look a bit more futuristic. The whole entire display is six point, nine inches, so a little bigger than the tennis mags. You also have a dynamic Emily display on that which is really cool.

The same thing we've seen on the s20 and the s20 plus. Now it is a 1440p panel as well, and it's a perfect panel, and it's probably one of the best panels in the market right now. It's extremely sharp that blacks are fully turned off. Just like the iPhone 10 is max, which is really cool. You have very little bezel around the display.

Like I, say there, and then you have that hole-punch display, which, instead of a notch, they have that which is really cool. I, really do like that. I'm glad they put that in instead of having some notch or something so definitely s20. Ultra looks far better on the front, but another thing to keep in mind is that with the s20 ultra, we also have that 120 Hertz refresh rate on that panel as well, which is honestly probably one of the coolest things ever I, think, is extremely awesome, and I think just adds that much of value on a phone like this, of course, like a know if you have it enabled or disabled, you know it's up to you, but having that thing enabled is extremely cool, just adds so much more fluidity on a display like that, and I really do like that. At the end of the day, so I'm pretty sure the Samsung Galaxy S, 20 Ultra, looks like the better one for sure on the bottom.

S20 Ultra has a USB type-c port Menace max, has a lightning port and, on the back, a quadruple camera set up on yes, Tony altar and a dual camera set up on the 10s, Max and I'll hit on the cameras more briefly in a video in a second glass backs on both as well pretty much the same style of glass back Nomad text, or anything like that. Now, when you're feeling both in the hand, one really doesn't blow the other one out of the water, they both feel kind of the same. But definitely when you hold the s20 ultra I, don't know it just gives the impression that it might be a little more premium. I feel like the tennis max, definitely has a lot of going for it. Yes, Tony altar is the bigger phone.

It is also heavier than the tennis max as well. So keep that in mind, but both phones have good have to it, and both phones are pretty big phones at the end of the day so and they both have IP certification as well IP 68 dust and water resistance, which is really cool. So a lot of similarities, a lot of differences, but in terms of the outside that really pretty much covers it up for the most part now hitting on this software. This is a fascinating part, because the iPhone sent us Mac started with I was 12 right now it is on. I was 13.5, and it's going beginning. Io's 14 I was 15, and probably I was 16 as well with the Samsung Galaxy S 20 ultra just started off with updates, but you know what Android is a little different and starting off with the Android 10, it's going to get Android, 11 and then Android 12, and it's probably going to end off on Android 12, which kind of sucks a little I'm.

Not gonna lie for a phone like this that you're spending that much money on you should expect to get multiple, multiple versions of software, but it is what it is, there's really nothing we can do about it. So for sure, when it comes down to it, yes, 20 Ultra, in my opinion, is good, but it just doesn't keep up with something like the iPhone tennis bag. So the iPhone tennis max will definitely want in terms of software, and I'm kind of a fan of iOS I, like iOS more than like when you why, but I like Android a lot and I think Android and iOS would probably neck-and-neck for me there's a lot of advantages for both, but just one UI, that's skin over it I just really don't like it. I really don't know anybody that likes it. To be honest, but in terms of software that really pretty much covers it, I will go ahead and hit on the performance aspect of both of these phones.

The iPhone sent us max has the Apple. It's called Bionic chip, X, core CPU and three different models with four gigs of ram. With the galaxy s.20 ultra has the Qualcomm snapdragon 865 chipset and outscore CPU and Arena 650 GPU, and there's only one model of the Estonian show with 12 gigs of ram, but yesterday Ultra does have a micro SD card slot, which is really cool. That's something that no iPhones have ever had before. Now start off with the tennis max I mean this: phone's performance is really, really good.

Still, it's extremely smooth iOS is optimized for phones. Just so like this with the same amount of RAM, and it's a perfect performing phone, and I'll be honest. Everything is smooth I. You know, of course, with the 11pro maxing, 11, Pro, they're, probably faster here, and they're, like you know, there are some improvements, but honestly, when you're done going day-to-day and all that stuff, you really don't notice that they give a difference. The smoothness is still there.

The performance is still there and some really fast performing phones still, if you're somebody who you know wants to get a good performing phone or whatever the iPhones are nice max will get you more than that in my opinion, but the s20 ultra is, you know, obviously faster I would say that than the tennis max. It brings a lot more to the table, especially when it comes down to the features and stuff, but the only thing that kind of rubs me the wrong way about the s20 ultra. Besides, you know, there's other little things mentioned before would probably be the glitches in the software and that basically comes down to you, know, gestures, the gestures and everything like that and opening app. Sometimes there seems to be some glitching, that's going on even for a phone like this. That costs almost fourteen hundred bucks when I pay for it.

It's just kind of an annoying thing to be honest, and I hate doing that. But I had saying it because I've been saying this for so long, but it's like the gesture based design on the iPhones is so much better than on androids. You know and when I swipe up it takes like two times or three times for it to register for me to swipe up and then when I do get swiped up, it's just kind of like screen so sensitive, and it's just kind of all over the place, and it's just kind of something that I don't really like that much when I go and mess with something like a s2000 ultra I like the software I like the performance, it's just the glitches and the performance that can probably be fixed. The majority of them through a software update some sort, but so far, I think the attendance max kind of does win in a way in terms the smoothness factor, but the s20 ultra wins in the performance factor just because it is the faster phone. So kind of keep that in mind.

If you're, if you're, using both and your going day today, you're not going to feel like one is way faster than the other one, the as Tony altar, isn't probably the faster one. But tennis max feels like the smoother one. If that makes any sense. So, in terms of the performance that really pretty much covers it, I'm hitting on the cameras, the iPhone 10s max- is a 12 megapixel wide-angle lens, and it's what make it big so telephoto lens with the s20 ultra has a 180 megapixel vinegar lens 48, megapixel, periscope telephoto lens. That's what megapixel whole wide sensor and 0.3 megapixel depth sensor. Now both cameras are perfect.

You know the tennis backs can do 4k 60, which is really cool. You have a lot of capability kinds of with that camera you're missing an ultra light sensor, but I guess it's still for the time being, and I think. For the most part, this phone is perfect. I know it has a perfect camera, but when you go to something like the galaxy s, 20 ultra I mean that does kind of take it to the next level. I mean you're gaining way more camera sensors.

On top of that, you had that 10 times, hybrid zoom on the s20 ultra, but even on top of that you have the ability to shoot a cave video on it, which is insane. That's something that not a lot of cameras have in the market, let alone phones out there and having the ability to shake a might seem stupid, and I think it kind of is, but at least you have that ability on it. So you know you're not running out of phones. I can run AEK when you're using this. You know you have that.

So whenever the phones have the capability in the future, this phone already has it, which is really cool. So in my opinion, probably because of that and all the other features and everything that the galaxy has 20 ultra brains, I'm gonna, say 100%. That camera is better than the Telus max for sure. On the front 7 megapixel camera on the 10s max morning megapixel camera on the galaxy s, 20 Ultra, you can do 4k 60 on the s20 ultra swell, where you can only do tell you p8 60 on that front camera on the 10s max so for sure, I'd probably still say here, the s 20 ultra- definitely ones here: I'm, ending it off with the battery life 3100 74 million power battery on the 10s max 5000 million power battery on the s20 ultra. We have wireless charging on both, but we have a reverse wireless charging on the s20 ultra and even without that, the battery life still went easily on that 20 I'll show it as a far bigger battery and the tennis backs really didn't have like crazy battery life and a good battery life.

But it wasn't as great as we were thinking. I was going to be, or has Apple hyped it up to be so for sure that s20 Ultra, definitely ones they're, not a kind of some video and to answer that comparison, I mean. Should you keep your tennis max? You get a tennis bag. Should you get asked when your ultra I'll be honest? If you have all the money in the world to spend getting the s20 Ultra might be the better way to go for some people, I think it has a lot to offer, but I think the tennis max I mean it seems to be the best value per dollar right now and between both of these, and I feel like if that's 20 Ultra was a 10 out of 10. The tennis max is probably like an 8 out of 10.

You know what I mean it does almost everything the s20 ultra does at the core. But of course it's missing some cool things like reverse wireless charging or 120 Hertz refresh rate or that perfect camera. But the tennis max is still a very good phone for a lot of people and I. Think if you own the tennis max, you should definitely keep it. You're, not really missing out on, like any crucial features.
