Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G Unboxing (Snapdragon 865 Midrange Phone With 5G)

Hi guys this is jsn. com, and I'm here with the brand new Samsung Galaxy s20 fan edition 5g. It was unveiled just three days ago, and we have here uh the device for an unboxing. So there are two versions of it. There is the 4g one, and this is the 5g one which has better specs, because it has a snapdragon CPU, not the criticized Enos 990, okay, so this is the handset we have it in the hue, which is called cloud navy. Basically, it's a sort of blue school, uniform blue, and this is a polycarbonate back now.

The camera module is pretty similar to what we saw on the Galaxy Note 20 in design. Now it's quite pricey for a spiritual successor of the Galaxy S10 light at around 750 dollars for the 5g version, at least the 4g one is a bit cheaper. Now, let's see everything available inside the box, because it's an unboxing after all, okay, so, first, we got this envelope here, which holds the metal key used to access the slots and also holds the manuals instruction and quick start guide and all of those okay. So this device was unveiled on September 23rd, it's still rather fresh and let's see what else we have here. Also in the box there's a charger- and this is a white charger which has the capacity of charging the device for up to 15 watts.

Now the phone itself is capable of charging at around 25 watts, but you need a separate accessory for that USB, a connector by the way. Okay, so also here, you can find the cable, and it's a cable that goes from full USB a to USB c, which is seen here. That's it no headphones bundle this time around. So it's still a mid-range handset. After all, I would say high mid-range, considering the specs and the high refresh rate, okay, so polycarbonate at the back and continuing on the sides at the front, there's glass and let's fire it up and see what it's all about now.

It feels like a pretty light phone in the hand, considering the diagonal here is 6.5 inches. It's also rather drippy, and the back side has a texture that doesn't draw prints. Furthermore, it's sort of frosted, I would say, even though this is not glass, it's polycarbonate. A good piece of news is that the handset's body is ip68 certified, so it can take some water and dust and the measurements are, I would say, decent for the galaxy s20 Fe 5g. It measures 8.4, millimeters in thickness and weighs 190 grams. It's got a flat screen and overall, the whole footprint, design and approach of the device makes it feel like a hybrid between the galaxy s20 and the Galaxy Note 20.

Now, aside from the body, the measurements and all of those, I think it's time to also discuss the internal specs and well. First, let's start with the screen. Super AMOLED 6.5 inch, full HD plus, and its party trick is the refresh rate. So you go here, press display and motion smoothness. You are 3d to 120 hertz on a phone, that's supposed to be a mid-ranger okay.

We go further than that, and we also find the famous CPU inside Qualcomm snapdragon 865, quite the upgrade from the Enos 990 of the s20 series, at least in Europe. There is also six or eight gigs of ram and not any type of ram lpddr5 and also 128 or 256 gigabytes of storage of the UFS 3.1 variety plus micros card slot. Now the battery that we're getting here, this one is a 4 500 William per hour unit and let's see what else we have here so 4 500 William unit which delivers a 25 watt, wired charging, 15 watt wireless charging and even reverse charging is an option. I'm going to put your watch here or headphones, and it'll be juiced up via wireless. This is android 10 that we're running here with one UI 2.5. On top now, it's time to discuss the cameras.

As you can see, the selfie shooter is cut in a punch hole in the middle of the top side of the screen. It's a 32 megapixel camera which combines four pixels. In one also side note: the bezels are quite thick for this phone, but they're quite symmetrical. The chin is a bit thick, but not in an exaggerated fashion. We were in the camera department, so, let's switch to the back.

This definitely looks like the module of the Galaxy Note 20, at least in design. So we have a combo of two 12 megapixel cameras and one 8-megapixel shooter. The main camera is a 12-megapixel optical image. Stabilization enabled cam with dual pixel phase: detection, autofocus and f 1.8 aperture, there's an ultra-wide 12 megapixel shooter, plus an 8 megapixel telephoto camera, with probably the surprise of this optical setup, 3x optical zoom and 30x space zoom as they call it. We also have a LED flash and the promise of 4k video the front camera is also supposed to offer you some sort of 4k, but I'll, see about that.

Okay. So, once again there are two versions of the phone 4g which is cheaper and has Enos and 5g, which I'm holding in my hand right now with a powerful snapdragon speaking of 5g and all that it supports both sub 6, gigahertz and millimeter wave. It also delivers Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth, 5.0 NFC, there's an USB port at the bottom and also stereo speakers. So one here and one is obviously the earpiece here. Okay, so for the sake of security, you already saw me using the fingerprint scanner which is embedded in the screen, and I have good news.

It's not ultrasonic, it's optical aside from that. If you go to the camera interface you'll find that it's pretty similar to what we saw on the galaxy s20 and the note 20. So we got your single take here, got the photo mode with the choice of the three cameras on the back side and also with levels of zoom, which is always important, and then we find the video section and your modes, which include the promo panorama. Food night, live focus, live focus, video, super slo-mo, slo-mo and hyperlapse okay, and we also have super steady for the videos which is pretty important. And aside from that, if you want to get into the software side of things, uh we're also getting knocks for security, and we also have the Xbox game pass with 100 plus games and just as a side note, we have 12 millimeter speakers on board with AKG tuning.

So the promise is there when it comes to acoustics okay. So this is the first impression and the first unboxing of the handset there's lots to discover here it's supposed to be a mid-range phone, but it goes clearly very close to the flagship segment, especially in the CPU and screen department. I will be testing. Everything first impression is that is very drippy. It's pretty ergonomic, it's not very heavy, and it feels snappier than my first contact with the s20 series.

Definitely, the CPU is a welcome addition. This is from jsn1. com hope you enjoyed this unboxing of the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe 5g, we're back with the full review pretty soon bye, bye.
