Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 Gaming Benchmarks & Review

Hi there this is Transit and I have the Samsung Galaxy S duos 3, which is the successor to their doors — and in this video, we'll be doing the benchmarking gaming and also give you the review of this device. I have been using this device for the last couple of days, but before I proceed with the review, let me actually show you the benchmark figures and before that, I'll give you a configuration overview, and you will use the CPU set application for that, and this is part by a 1 gigahertz dual-core processor. As you can see, it's based on the arm, cortex a9 architecture, and it's made by Broadcom and the GPU is the video code GPU regarding the screen size, it's just a 4-inch screen. But again the screen resolution is very average. It's 480 by 800 and if you see the viewing angles are also not that good. In fact, I did not like the panel that Samsung has used on this device regarding the battery.

It's a 1500 mill, ampere battery, the back cover can be open to access the battery and being that we actually have the two Sims that are microcell. We also have a micro SD card over here, so you can add that the battery is a 1500 mill ampere battery. But in my testing the battery life was not that great. Oh yes, with the casual to midday usage, it can last you for a day, but if you plan to use with both the Sims, you might have to charge it in the evening. Let's just go back and regarding the sensors.

Here is what I'm highly disappointed with Samsung. As you can see, there are hardly any sensors on this device. It does not even have a proximity sensor, light sensor, or what do you say even compass? So actually we don't have any sensors on this device, so very disappointing. I would say: I've also done the popular benchmarks on this device. So let me actually show you this course directly now, and you are not the benchmark scores, and this is what do you say: quadrant and four quadrants.

We got a score of three thousand two hundred and sixty-three, which is again I'm. Nothing great I would say. The total is three to six three CPU got a score of four nine four to memory is three thousand twenty-nine. I have got a score of five thousand nine thirty to 2d as just three and ninety and 3d graphics got a score of 2017. I also ran an tutu, and here we got a score of ten thousand four hundred and three, which is again nothing bad, nothing, great, I, would say.

Furthermore, I also ran the Nina mark —, and here we got a score of about 40 at FPS. You can call it, but I mean just watch the viewing angles, just horrible, if you just turn it also little, it just fades away. So when I was watching YouTube, videos, etc. , the experience was not that great and regarding USB-C, that is not supported on this device. Also, you just cannot move the apps directly to the SD card, so you start with the limited internal storage that you have now.

Let's just play a few games, and we'll start with some casual games and then move to heavy games. So this is a temple run to a very popular game and in fact it runs this game actually pretty well, as you can see, but the Rommel. This is just fun and 12 MB and the internal storage is also very less so simply after installing a few apps don't expect that you will be able to install it very heavy games about mid-range games. Yes, not an issue, and, as you can see, it is running this Temple Run 2 without any issues. So if you just play casual games, I think, so it should be fine with this device.

One thing to notice that the speaker output is actually not loud, which is surprising because, generally in entry-level phones, the speaker output is loud, but on this one the speaker is not that loud, and I mean it notice. Viewing angles are simply not that good well in terms of playability with Temple Run 2 I did not have issues with it and try on it. Actually pretty fine, as you can see. So, let's just move out of this game and let's try some other games now. So let me get out of this one and due to the limited RAM, I would suggest that you hit this multitasking tree and thus wipe away the existing applications, because if you note some heavy apps, then it might lag otherwise, let's run this swollen —, which is kind of mid-range game, and let try to run this one now.

So this is the game now. One thing I did notice is that you notice that it does skip some frames on this one. It's not. The smoothest I saw some skipping of frames with this one, but it is sort of playable, I would say, as you can see, but sometimes when there is heavy action, it does skip a few frames on the sonic — game. So, as you can see, it is playable.

But yes, you might notice some skipping here and live in this game. Now, let's move to another game and that is dead trigger 2. So this is dead, trigger 2, and surprisingly it pleases just come actually a pretty bad, only gone as I said, with a new hand, we'll see that I just record the blue and just go for a thought. Oh, that was ruining their gaming experience and save the screen for it. I also wanted this a Stargate on this, but due to the limited internal storage, I, just simply could not install it.

I mean you can't expect that, but this is an entry level device and in India it's being sold for between 7,200 to 7500. Last time, I change, the flip cut was floating a pile of 7,500 for this device. I will have to directly for clip cards, because the pricing does change quite a bit in India, so, as you can see, even dead trigger was playable but again see the viewing angles that destroys the playability. The union is a very bad. Samsung has put a very, very young age, come on this device so ready this get out this one now and let's just swipe at my onion as I told you, it's a good idea to swipe away heavy applications.

Otherwise, it gives you lag in the UI also, and this is the standard, the Samsung UI, that we get with this device. Again, you have these struggles over here. Let me actually also show you the Android version. If you go to the part of the device, good thing is it's running KitKat out of the box? So that's a nice thing in my opinion, but I mean the screen. Quality was not that good.

Let me just show you, as I showed you earlier. Also, it just quickly fades away. Besides, there is no auto brightness sensor, so you have to manually, adjust the brightness, and the biggest gripe I have is that it does not have any proximity sensor. So when you dial a number and take a call this and bring this near your headset, the screen does not fade away, so that is irritating, in my opinion, also regarding compass app. It does simply do not work as you'll see.

This compass simply does not work, because the compass sensor is not there. Also in terms of multi-touch points. It has just two multi-touch points, as you can see, so Samsung has skipped a lot of options on this device. Yes, if you are a very user, it might be fine. But again, if you are sort of a heavy user, when I was doing some multitasking etcetera, the food used to lag up a little so in terms of UI, it's the standard, Samsung UI that you get you can use this get sure to add home screens access widgets one thing I did notice is that if you add a couple of witches, it tends to become a bit laggy.

So I would not suggest adding a lot of visits on this device, and this is the app tree that you get and let's just fire up. The browser I would say: stick with the internet browser that comes default, because if you use Chrome, it's again a little slow. Let's just open up this story because we have a YouTube video, let's see how it handles on this device, I mean if you notice it is taking quite a bit of time to load the pages. So you have to be a little patient while doing web browsing on heavy pages with this device. So this is a YouTube video.

Let's see how to handle her, this is raunchy. Then I have the spy stream, which is one of the most affordable Android one device's outtake, and in this video we'll be doing some came in so as you can see the wise, it plays YouTube videos without a webpage without any issues and I get an error. I, don't know why. So, let's just get out of this one. So in terms of web browsing, yes, it works, but with heavy web pages, I did notice some lag Enos with this device.

This is the stock keyboard that we get. Let me load this website again. This is a not a heavy website. So if the websites are not heavy, as you can see at the scrolling, etc. is fine, but with heavy web pages, and if you open a couple of tabs, then the browser can become a little sluggish because it just has a fine fellow given, for example, I'm hitting the home button.

As you see, it took some time also regarding RAM. If we even kill all the applications have killed everything. If we go to the RAM out of that 512 MB out of that, in fact, we just have 465 and all of that almost 300 MB is used by the system, even when you kill all the apps. So roughly you just have about 150 MB of memory for apps, etc. So that's on the lower side, in my opinion now coming to the camera, it has a five megapixel camera, and it also has LED flash, and it can record videos up to 720p.

In fact, I have taken a few shots, as you can see, and the camera quality is just ok. I would say it's not that great I've seen better cameras from Samsung, considering that it has a 5 megapixel shooter regarding ID in the front-facing camera, and the quality is just average, in my opinion. So, overall, what do I think about this Samsung Galaxy, s2, s3 I, would say it's kind of a downgrade if we even compare it with the Samsung Galaxy S duos 2, in my opinion, because it had higher RAM and a much better quality screen and this device. The MRP is quoted as 9700, but this is available for around 7500 in the Indian market. But I do feel that for that price you can definitely get a lot better devices compared to the Samsung Galaxy S duos 3.

In fact, I would say the Galaxy S duos 2 is a better device. Compared to this is two O's 3, but I would seriously suggest that you can look at some other devices. For example, now we have these Android one device which cost actually about a thousand rupees less compared to this S duos 3, and these have much better performance and overall, a much better device. But still if you want to stick with the Samsung device- and you are on a tight budget- I would say the Samsung Galaxy S duos 2 is a much better device rather than this S duos 3 I.
