Samsung Galaxy Note 9 vs HTC U12+: Camera Comparison!

To me, the HTC u12 plus from earlier this year, has a very good camera, and today we're putting it up against the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 9 camera to see how it fares. Let's start with a scenic picture of downtown Dubai I, don't see major differences between the two pictures here, but the one on the 12-plus definitely looks. Sharper I went ahead and turned on the scene, optimizer mode on the note 9 here as well, but there wasn't much change next, we'll move to a macro shot of a flower. The note 9 pictures has more detail to it and looks sharper. The greens are also a bit punchier from it compared to the u12 plus image in terms of natural background blur, though, both phones are doing an identical job when using the portrait mode feature on both phones, the u12 plus is far more natural. It reproduces skin tones better over the note lines.

Greenish colors detection doesn't seem to be a problem with either phone, and nor does the background blur to test 2x zoom. Here's a picture which shows both phones doing an identical job. The greens on the u12 plus are more natural over the more contrast and darker ones, on the note 9, but at 10x zoom you can really see the note nines better quality over the, 12 plus in terms of detail and colors over to low-light I want to throw the sample in there. The note Knight does a better job at capturing the color of the sunset over the Utah Plus in the first sample, even though the autofocus was a bit off, but with the scene, optimizer mode turned on there's not much of a difference in terms of colors. The u12 plus goes for the cooler look here compared to the node 9, so warmer tones, here's an indoor sample where I feel the colors and sharpness from the note 9 is better.

It also manages to capture a lot more detail in the foreground, which the Cutoff plus just doesn't and another similar scenario. Both defaults are quite difficult to tell apart so in terms of indoor photography. I think both phones are identical heading into nighttime shots. The note 9 is doing a better job here. There's more detail in between the trees and noise levels are lower with scene optimizer, there's not much of a difference from the original photo just in the previous cases, and the situation is similar for this one as well, with the no tonight photos not only coming out punchier, but also better in terms of noise, both without and with the scene optimizer setting turned on, although that doesn't mean the 12 plus, is a complete slouch in this department, as in certain cases it does rival the node 9 performance, but in more complex scenarios.

The no tonight is the better picture taker because it replicates colors at night better and has lower noise levels compared to the 12 plus on to selfies I. Do prefer the look of the node 9 because of its slightly warmer image and with portrait mode turn on the node side once again seems to be better because it has a sharper picture and its edge detection seems better at the Utah's blurred out a part of my ear that you can see towards the right side of the picture. At night neither phone is too good, but if I had to pick I'd go with the node 9 once again and in terms of portrait mode, I like how the node type could actually blur the background, whereas the u12 plus failed to do so. So again, if I had to choose, I'd go with the node names picture. As far as videos are concerned, I do prefer the clarity of the Yuma plus.

However, the note 9th footage is far more stable and smooth, but that's all from me. Let me know what you guys think about the results down in the comments. Don't forget to check out our other videos if you've missed them, and thank you guys for watching I'll see you in the next one adios.
