Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G Smartphone Review

Welcome to the geeky noise channel: this is my review of the Xiaomi me mix.3 5g smartphone is a very, very nice smartphone, apart from the amazingly fast space which peak at 1 gigabits per second- oh, my goodness. That's absolutely amazing. I didn't achieve that during my tests, but certainly it's a capable of achieving that. It's a really nice smartphone name before I talk to you about the speeds. I just want to run through some of the main specifications I'm not going to go through them all, because they're readily available online. But first it's a really nice.

Looking smartphone really nicely designed on the front here. We've got a 6.3 9-inch screen with 1080 by 2340 resolution, 12 megapixel cameras both wide and telephoto, on the back capable of capturing up to 4k video as well or UHD. Video 30 frames per second we've also got Oh, actually sorry capable of capturing up to 60 frames per second, which is really impressive, and in 1080p on those rear cameras you can capture up to 240 frames per second 6 gigabytes of RAM inside really beefy amount of RAM and a Snapdragon 805 processor and a 3800 William hour battery. It's a really nice looking smartphone, very, very nice. Indeed, we will come on to the speeds very shortly before we do so.

Let's just have a look at the UI, so you can see the UI. This is running Google, Android version 9. By the way, it's a really snappy smartphone, really very, very nice screen as well. It's a gorgeous looking screen, I, don't think you'll have any complaints at all about the quality of this screen. Even for pixel peepers you're not going to really see any pixels the camera as well.

Let me just pop into the camera is absolutely fantastic: the quality and the detail. You can go really close with this camera as well. This is a photo I took earlier. Here's another photo great depth of field on this photo perfect detail in the foreground and then here's a some photo of my setup. This is what's actually you running the audio in this broadcast.

That's my road caster Pro on the desk there and then last but not least, a favorite photo I always take this one just for comparative reasons. Mr. Macky, hello to Mr. Macky, very, very good detail and the color accuracy in the photos is absolutely stunning. Battery life has been very good as well, easily a day to a day and a half between charges.

As I mentioned, the camera performance top-notch, even the 4k, video or UHD video is really crisp. Really detailed and good audio accompanied as well. There might pickups in this are really very good. What you're probably hear that for, though, is to hear about the speeds now the 5g network, and this by the way, was supplied to me by Vodafone, so big THANK YOU to Vodafone for making this video possible. If you do want to pick up this phone on Vodafone, there are links down in the video description.

Please do check that out. There's also some links to where you can pick up a great range of accessories in your country for this particular smartphone. Now Vodafone's 5g network is now live in 7 UK cities, a total of 19 towns and cities that be live by the end of this year. That's a really fast rate. We've got at the moment, Birmingham Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, London and Manchester, and it was London where we tested this for spades, and we saw topped out it's all averaging around about 165 to 170 megabits per second that is so, so fast very, very fast.

That's roughly I would say about five to five and a half times the speed that I would expect to get on 4G, so really extremely fast. Now, that's perfect for if you're, watching videos or downloading content to your smartphone, or indeed a really stable and fast connection. If you're going to be streaming, live video like a live video broadcast like I'm doing now from your smartphone as well, so doing some sort of mobile live-streaming from this would be absolutely stunning. I didn't have the opportunity to do it because this was tested in London by a colleague of mine, so very, very good spades, just blindingly fast, the 5g Network. Actually, let me just give you some more information about this I've got some a little cheat sheet here as well, so we've got some more planned areas as well, including Blackpool, Liverpool, Birkenau, Newbury, reading Guildford Portsmouth, Southampton Bournemouth as well.

The Isles of Silly, as well all on here for planned rollout of there 5g network, so Vodafone, really taking this seriously I'm really delivering us some absolutely fantastic speeds on there.5G supported smartphones, I think it also includes the Samsung Galaxy S 10 I think it was Rs, 10 plus there's a 5g version of that. But back to the show me mix three really nice smartphones absolutely love the design. Then we just turn the screen off. We've got a fingerprint sensor on this, so let's attach it by mistake. Here we go unlock very quickly, so quick, this fingerprint sensor it's turning off again.

So it's just sleep this screen, and we go one. Two three press very, very quick, and I've had a hundred percent accuracy on this fingerprint sensor, so very, very fast screen unlock the bezels very minimal little of a wider bezel at the bottom. I do like the overall design of this I. Think it's very, very nice indeed, and then it's got a very cool feature very, very cold. Oh, are you ready for this where's, the front-facing camera? Where is the front-facing camera? Well, the front-facing camera is going to take a selfie of me now, there's the front-facing camera, it's actually on the top section.

Just there's the front facing camera it pops up and then, when it's not in use, you just slide it down. So it's got this action of. Let's do it again. If I can do it, I don't want to. The trouble is because it's full screen here we go, so it actually pops up like so, and then you can see the front-facing camera just up here on this section here, and then you study back down very, very cool, indeed really cool.

Let's just also show you that selfie and there's that selfie that I took just then very, very cool, so actually slides up and is hidden when not in use. You see that very, very cool, absolutely love the action of that, and it's a 24 megapixel dual camera on that front-facing snapper as well, really I'm impressed I like the way it does that I've seen implementations where the camera pops out I think that's a bit Vaughn reversing these flipping cameras as well they're, interesting different ways of doing it. Everyone's got their own idea of how they're going to implement this front-facing camera. But this is one of the best implementations you can even do it from like the home screen. So you just simply slide up like, so it launches the camera app, and then we've got the camera located at the top.

It's very, very nice way of doing it tricky to sort of work out where to hold the phone in all honesty, because if you're sliding up you do tend to push icons on the screens, you have to sort of do it, maybe from this top edge up here and hold it quite precariously, but once it's up there, the actual sliding down is very, very easy, really nice. It seems like a robust mechanism as well, so the fit and finish on this feels brilliant, some really comfortable phone to hold cool quality as well. Of course, people ask me about that: really: nice, clear earpiece and microphone and good audio quality. This is a great smartphone, very, very good, perfect performance and that 5g speed, Wow unbelievable. Let's have a look inside the live chat.

We have got so many of you tuning in life, including Vega, by Craig downer and the unexpected and Eddie. First for in the live chat, Eddie saying I live in Northamptonshire, but come to London a few times a week. Do you think it's worth it to go 5g only if I can get it a few days? A week well ready, it really depends. It depends on what you use your smartphone, for, if you or downloading a little content- and you would really appreciate those faster download speeds. IE is your current smartphone restricting the way you enjoy using it all.

Perhaps your productivity, then yeah a few days a week of 5g use is well worth it, and it will roll out to other parts of the UK in due course. The unexpected is also commenting. Vodafone recently launched its new unlimited data plans to take advantage of the new 5g network, but you need to have the max unlimited to max unlimited price plan to achieve the fastest speeds. Yeah, they've they've launched a whole range of different packages, including this max unlimited package, I think they're very reasonably priced as well, so do check them out. Vega boy is the cam working with the case on haven't tested that, to be honest, but I would assume that that's been thought of, but I haven't, tested that or haven't put a case on the haven't felt the need to it's just a really nice feeling, smartphone and then last comment here.

It is from H, ramen n 2009, hello, Dave, hello, SHU here'sh, watching from India. Thank you very much for tuning in I really do appreciate it. It's going to be fascinating, rest of 2019 and into 2020, as it rolls out across various locations. That's it for this.
