Samsung Galaxy Note 8 versus HTC U11: speed test

Hi I'm, Nick gray and today, I'm going to do a speed test comparison between the all-new Samsung Galaxy, Note 8 and the HTC. U 11, you probably have the specs of these two phones already memorized, but here's a quick refresher, the Galaxy Note 8 has a snapdragon 835 processors, with 6 gigs of RAM. That's actually a first for Samsung, while the HTC. U 11 has that same 835 processors, but only four gigs of ram on paper, the? U 11 will always lose out to the Galaxy Note 8, but we're actually going to do a real-world speed test to see if that actually holds true. As with all my other speed tests, I'm going to start this off with a fresh boot to see which of these two devices turns on. First now, there's no real-world correlation between boot uptimes and the actual performance of these devices.

But it's fun to see anyways with the two devices turned on and loaded up, I'm now going to clear out any app memory just to make sure everything is fair. Now the first round of this speed test is going to run through 10 different apps to see which of these two devices loads, the app quickest and for the second round, we're going to run through the apps one more time to see how Ram management is handled on both phones. After the first round, the Galaxy Note 8 was ahead of the 11, but let's see if the U 11 can make up any ground in the second round as I suspected the U 11 couldn't compete with the note 8. The extra RAM that was packed into the phone was more than enough to keep the software optimizations of the u 11 at bay over the years. There have been a lot of compelling reasons why you should pick up a Galaxy Note device, but for 2017 it looks like performance is one of the reasons at the top of the charts.

I've got more video comparisons between the Galaxy, Note, 8 and other smartphones, so make sure you subscribe to the channel. Thank you so much for watching, and I'll catch you in the next one. You.
