Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Vs Samsung Galaxy S10! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone time to do another comparison. This time around between the newly released Samsung Galaxy note, 20 and the somewhat older I mean it is the older Galaxy S10 now with the s10, it is the older device, and you know a lot of people may say: oh bro they're, not even the same they're different categories, whatever I personally do think there's a lot of similarities between these two and probably some advantages for picking up an older phone like the Samsung Galaxy s10, now price-wise, the s10 is going for less than 500 on Amazon, which is really, really good. This is a great phone you're, getting a lot of cool capability, and it's you know about half the price than a brand new Samsung Galaxy note 20, which is costing you know a thousand dollars brand new. Now I will leave the cheapest ones I find on amazon of both of these in the description below, so you can get them from there and help support the channel at the same time now, starting off with the screens. Let's start off with the s10, this phone has a 6.1 inch, dynamic, AMOLED display it's 1440p and honestly, it's probably one of the best panels. I've ever seen now beyond the 60hz to 90hz and all that stuff.

Both these phones do not support anything higher than 60hz, which I think is okay. You know for the note 20 it's not okay, but for the s10 it came out last year, it's okay! It's over a year old, now you're getting a whole punch display on this phone, which is really cool in the top right corner, and it is a curved display. A little has an edge to it. It's not a flat display, like the note 20, so kind of keep that in mind, but the panel on the Samsung Galaxy s10 is very good. Fingerprint sensor in the display is two and for sure.

At the end of the day, the s10 has a very, very good panel on it with the Samsung Galaxy note.20, you know is a good panel too. You know we have a 6.7 inch super AMOLED plus display on it and, like I said, 6.7 inches. It is a 1080p panel, though so it is a lower resolution panel than the s10, and you know sometimes you can tell like. Oh, it's a 1080p panel. It's not that bad.

You can definitely tell when it's between both of these the s10s panel. In my opinion, it definitely looks better. You have that fingerprint sensor and the display is phone. The note 20, you have the whole punch display too, but in my opinion, the panel on the Samsung Galaxy s10 does actually look far superior to the panel on the note 20. In my opinion, in terms of thickness, you can see that yeah, the s10 is actually you know a little thinner than the Samsung Galaxy note.20, and one thing about the note 20 is that because it is that flat display, it kind of you know looks a little thicker than maybe the s10 is because it kind of curves at the edge, as you can see. So it gives the appearance that it's like this thin when it's very like that thick.

To be honest and on the back, you have a glass back on the Samsung Galaxy s10 with the triple camera setup, a triple camera setup, not a triple one, and it feels perfect. You know it feels perfect in the hand. It feels like a very, very premium device with the Samsung Galaxy note.20, on the other hand, has a plastic back for the most part. They say it's kind of like a hybrid glass and plastic. I don't even know what they're trying to say there.

It's pretty much a plastic back, and it's really, you know you when you feel them both in the hand the one thing you can't really tell with the camera that much, maybe you can, but the glass back on the Samsung Galaxy s10 feels far superior to the plastic bag. On the Samsung Galaxy note, 20. They do have a triple camera setup on your two, which is really cool, but definitely when it comes down to the back side, the Samsung Galaxy s10 definitely wins now. Another huge thing to keep in mind is that the Samsung Galaxy s10 does have a micro SD card slot, which is a huge thing. The Samsung Galaxy note 20 does not have any micro SD card slot like that at all, which is very annoying now it does have a micro sim card slot, obviously, but no SD card slot on here.

The storage that you get is the storage that you get. You cannot expand it, which is very annoying the Samsung Galaxy s10, though, does have that capability, which is a huge thing. You still also have that headphone jack on the Samsung Galaxy s10 as well. Now you do have USB type c on both, which is perfectly cool, but no headphone jack on the note 20, but you do have it on the s10, which is a really, really cool advantage. So definitely at the end of the day, in my opinion, body wise, I think the total body feels better on the Samsung Galaxy s10 and it kind of is better on this phone, but the Samsung Galaxy note 20 also isn't a bad device.

You know it looks very good. It feels kind of good too, but it just doesn't feel as good as the s10 and it's so weird because the s10 is the older device. It shouldn't feel as good as it is. You know, or the note 20 should feel better. The note 20 autos is perfect, but Samsung kind of dropped.

The ball in terms of the design of the note 20 for sure. So when it comes down to that, that's 10 definitely wins now. In terms of software, there's a little of a difference here, the Samsung Galaxy note 20 will end up lasting longer than the Samsung Galaxy s10. This phone will be getting two more versions of software, which is really cool. Samsung did extend the versions of both these phones, so you're going to be getting two years of software here versus three years of software.

Here, you're still going to be, you know, getting you know a really long-lasting device, whether you get it today or by the end of the year or whatever so either. Or you know if you get them within the next year or two they're going to be lasting for quite a bit of time, and they're both going to be supported, but the Samsung Galaxy note 20 will be the end of like lasting longer. But the sad thing is both of them are running one UI, which is not my favorite version of software. It's very bloated in a way it's not as stock as something like oxygen OS, for example, but either or you're, going to be getting very, very good software devices for the most part in terms of longevity. So when it comes down to that both of them when the note 20 is lasting longer, but the s10 is lasting for quite a bit of time too.

Now, let's go ahead and do a little of a speed test between them. But I'll tell you the specs. First, the Samsung Galaxy s10 has a Qualcomm snapdragon 855 chipsets, an outscore CPU and arena 640 GPU, with eight gigs of ram on each model. Where the Samsung Galaxy note 20 has that Qualcomm snapdragon 865 plus chipset an outscore CPU, an arena, 650 GPU and eight gigs of ram on each model as well, so let's go and see which one is the fastest one between both of these okay. Let me go and clear all these apps in the background a little.

Okay, let's do the play store three two one, and I think I don't really know that one was pretty tough. Maybe the s10 was a little faster, but they both seem the same that note 20, as you can see, is a little smoother to kind of scrolling through the s10 ended up being you know pretty smooth towards the bottom too, but yeah. Definitely, the note 20, I think, is a smoother scrolling device for sure phone calls three two ones. Okay messages, three two one: okay about the same camera, three two one and about the same on both galaxy store. Three, two one.

I think it was already open here. I guess not a little of a pop-up here, so we'll just let that one slide. We can go and start doing these third party apps, which are a lot of them. Facebook, three two one and the note 20, definitely a little faster there for sure Netflix. Three two.

I guess I don't have it Instagram three, two one: okay, I think the note 20 was a little faster there as well. Let me do Snapchat three, two, one, no 20, I think slightly faster. Just by a little BFA three, two one and yeah. I think the note 20 definitely was faster there. The s10 was just a little behind it.

Fruit, ninja three, two one and animations again faster on the Samsung Galaxy note, 20 and eventually was able to get into it faster than the s10. So if you're playing fruit, ninja a lot or any game, that's kind of comparable you're definitely going to be getting potentially a faster, smoother device. On the note 20. In terms of that, you can do snag versus blocks three two one, and definitely I think they were kind of the same one really didn't blow the other one out of the water scrolling. Through I mean they look kind of the same too in terms of gameplay, so I mean it's a minor game.

So what can you expect? Do temple run three two one now I might have to restart this, as I always say, and I do have to restart on the note 20. So let's go and do that tempo run again. Three two one and it's looking like. Maybe the note 20 is a little faster, and you can definitely see there's a difference in terms of the display as well, and definitely the note 20 was the faster one there. I don't even know why I paused getting into some gameplay.

Let's see if there's a difference and again as usual, I don't think there is going to be a difference. So, as you can see, I died, and I died again cool. Thank you, three, two one as 10 faster for some reason. Thank you was very weird on this phone. I don't know why just keeps glitching up for no reason.

I'm not really to sure why that keeps happening. So now that I have all these apps. In the background, let me go ahead and go back in the beginning with and see how good the ram management is. Now I do have a few apps. You know I don't have a crazy amount, but sometimes it does kind of glitch up a little on both.

They both have the same amount of ram. So potentially theoretically, they should be lasting. The same amount with the apps. In the background, as you can see, they're doing pretty good. The note 9 actually beat the note 20 in terms of ram management, so that was very, very weird.

I don't know why that happened, even though the note 20 was the fastest one between both of them, as you can see, they're both doing pretty good one hasn't hiccup just yet Facebook both are the same. Let me go ahead and end it off with real racing three two one, and we do have to load up a little on the note 20 or the s10, which is very weird, so I think in terms of performance. I think the note 20 definitely is the faster one, as you saw it was. You know faster ram management was good on both. I don't.

I didn't necessarily see one you know overtaking the other one in terms of rent management, but in terms of performance I think the note 20 definitely is the fastest one for sure. So now that we have that out of the way, let's go and hit on the cameras now, like I stated before triple camera setups on both the Samsung Galaxy s10 has a 12, megapixel, wide angle, lens 12, megapixel, telephoto lens, then a 16, megapixel ultrawide sensor or the note 20 has a 12, megapixel, wide angle, lens 64, megapixel, telephoto lens and then a 12 megapixel ultrawide sensor and hitting on the UIs. I don't really think there's that big of a difference as you can see they look kind of the same. The brightness is a little higher on the s10. So keep that in mind in terms of the features you can see that we do have a couple of new features on the Samsung Galaxy note 20.

But the main thing is, you know they could both can do 4k 60, which is really cool, but the note 20 does have the capability of shooting 8k videos, which is really, really awesome. So we can also edit- and you know- add different things down here too, which is really cool now in terms of the camera quality. The Samsung Galaxy s10 has always had a really, really good camera. You know what I mean. The colors look really, really good, no matter what I do with it.

It looked really awesome, and I think you've seen all my camera comparisons. I've done with this phone, which were a ton, the camera shutter speed, not the shutter speed, but whenever I take a photo, it's extremely fast, it doesn't take three years. The video quality is also perfect and, as you'll see on the note 20 it just pretty much takes that to the another level. It's very good. If you want to see a full camera comparison, I can eventually drop one, but the Samsung Galaxy s10 has a very, very good camera with the wide-angle lens.

You have that ultra-wide, and you have that telephoto lens, which you can zoom in a ton which is really, really awesome. So the s10 has a really, really good camera setup on it, and the note 20 definitely takes that pretty much to the other level. We have that ability of shooting 8k videos on this camera, which is really, really awesome and just like the Samsung Galaxy s10, we have the capability of using that telephoto and ultrawide sensor as well and, like I said you have pretty much all the same features that the Samsung Galaxy s10 has and then some you have a couple more features in terms of the UI, but the UIs are almost identical. So it's not like you're going to feel like you know, out of place. If you go from a s10 to a note, 20 or even if you go from a note 20, you can return it to go back to your s10.

I think the quality on both cameras are the same, but you are going to be getting pretty much a better camera quality and a better camera experience from something. Like a Samsung Galaxy note 20. So for sure, at the end of the day, the Samsung Galaxy note 20. Not only has you know the better camera setup, but also has the better camera features at the end of the day, too, with the ability of shooting 8k videos, which is insane, which I highly would recommend people not to do its kind of a waste of money, it's kind of a waste of memory, but you have that capability, which is really the coolest thing now ending it off with the battery life. The Samsung Galaxy s10 has a 3400mah battery the Samsung Galaxy note 20, on the other hand, has a 4 300 million power battery.

So for sure I can definitely tell you the note: 20 is going to have the better battery life. Not only does it have a bigger battery, but it also has a lower resolution display, but on top of that, both these both have wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, which is really cool. So really one doesn't blow the other one out of the water, but the note 20 will have the better battery life at the end of the day, with that 900 William increase in the battery, so to kind of sum up, the video dude, which phone should you get I'll, be honest. If you're trying to save the most amount of money, the s10 is probably the best way to go between both of these, like, I said, it's half the price, but it's not like you're getting half the phone. If anything, there are some areas where the s10 is better than the note 20.

, the body you're, getting a better body, you're, getting a memory card slot, which is great you're, getting a great feeling. Phone high resolution display great cameras, really great everything. Software is great, too great performance and, as you saw, the note, 20 is a little faster. It's a little better. The battery life is better on the note 20.

The cameras are great. You have like 8k capability, but really other than that. There's really no reason for anybody who has a s10 to go up to the note.20, in my opinion, so if you want to pick either of these up, links will be down in the description below that's really pretty much it if you guys have any other questions or anything.
