Samsung Galaxy Note 20 VS RedMagic 5S - Speed Test!

What's happening everyone, my name is Alex and welcome back to a new speed test. For today, we have the brand new red magic 5s. This is a phone that you can find for about 600, and then we have the Samsung Galaxy note 20, a phone that you can find for about a thousand dollars for specs, well, they're, somewhat similar, so the red magic 5s has the snapdragon 865 a gigs of ram and 128 gigs of internal storage. Where the Samsung Galaxy note, 20, has the snapdragon 865, plus 8 gigs of ram and 128 gigs of internal storage, four screens once again, they're somewhat similar. So the Galaxy Note 20 has a 6.7-inch screen with a 1080p resolution where the red magic 5s has a 6.65 inches screen with the 1080p resolution. However, this one has a much higher refresh rate, all right.

So first things: first, we are starting with the an tutu benchmark score and here, surprisingly enough, the red magic 5s gets a much higher score, even though the Samsung Galaxy note 20 has the somewhat faster processor. So this score is quite surprising all right. So next we're going to do a bit of video editing. I have the same 4k video file on both devices, and we're going to see which device edits that video faster and which one exports that video faster and after that we're gonna start opening all these apps, so you can see which device opens apps faster and which device keeps more apps running in the background, all right, so first, I'm going to shoot. I don't have any apps running in the background on either device, so nothing running in the background, and we're going to start by opening this video shop app here we're going to import the exact same video file.

So we have this one right here. This is a 4k video file, so press done at the same time. Let's see which one is faster. Was it this one? I believe that the red magic was a bit faster. Next we are going to trim that video we'll try to make it the same length, so we'll make it somewhere around 20 seconds so 2003 on that one, and this one, let's see here, 20.

Zero, six, twenty, no twenty, zero! Three! So the same size, so we're going to press the green button, we'll see which one trims that file faster, and I believe that the red magic was a tiny bit faster for that we're gonna press next here, we're gonna, add this filter, for example, and we're going to export the video file, so we'll go to advanced, so we have 1080p on both devices, and we'll save the video file. Basically, so let's see which one is so. I believe that the note 20 was faster at completing that export, so just by a second, but definitely a bit um faster right. So let's see this um we'll actually close this from the background. So let's close that and next we're gonna start opening a bunch of apps um, so you can see which device opens apps faster and snap seed is the first one kind of.

In the same time, I'm going to say for that one we'll open this uh picture we'll leave this running in the background. Next we're moving on to Call of Duty on both we'll see which one actually starts the game faster. So the s snapdragon 865 plus, should be a tiny bit faster. So I believe that this one is actually going to be faster, but let's give it a second, so yeah. So definitely the note.20 was a bit faster at starting this game, maybe by half a second, but I'm definitely a bit faster. So we're going to leave this running in the background we'll exit this one as well.

Next we have the Twitter app. I can't really say if one was faster than the other one, they seem kind of the same. So leave this one running in the background as well. Next, we have PUBG once again we'll see which one is uh faster at um, starting that game. It may be this one for this uh game, but we'll see in a second yeah.

It definitely looks like the red magic 5s is ahead yeah, so the red magic 5s was the somewhat faster one. So we're just going to leave this game running in the background on both devices. Next, we have the YouTube app. So the note 20 was a bit faster at loading, the content. Next we have the Google Play Store kind of.

In the same time, I wasn't uh, I didn't see which one was them faster. Actually, next we have chrome. So it seems that the red magic was a bit faster for that one, let's open the same article on both of them. So the note 20 did load the content faster, keep in mind that they're both connected to the same Wi-Fi network, so leave that running. In the background.

Next we have the Facebook app. Once again, the note 20 was a bit faster at the loading, the content, we'll leave that one running in the background and the last one is the Instagram app so kind of. In the same time here I'm going to say so. I couldn't really tell that uh if one was faster than the other one. So now, let's see what happened to all those apps that we have running in the background, so this is uh the snap seed app next we have Call of Duty, so they're, both in the exact same spot, where we left them.

Next we have Twitter the exact same spot next PUBG mobile. So, in the exact same spot, where we left them uh, we have the YouTube app right here same spot, the play store. So it seems that eight gigs of ram is more than enough to keep all these apps running. In the background, the Facebook app in the same spot and the Instagram app so yeah, the note 20 did seem to be a bit faster for uh most of these apps and games that we've tried so just in case you're wondering if there is that much of a difference between the snapdragon 865 plus and the snapdragon 865. Well, there isn't that much of a difference all right guys.

Hopefully you enjoyed this video. If you did like it, don't forget to press that, like button, don't forget to subscribe, and I'll see you guys in the next one thanks for watching.
