Samsung Galaxy M11 Unboxing & First Impressions!

Hey guys how's it going in this video, we're gonna, be doing an unboxing, and I'm going to give my first impressions on the Samsung Galaxy m11. This is another one of Samsung's latest budget oriented smartphones. It does have a lot of similarities to the galaxy, an 11 which we recently covered on the channel, but there are some differences worth talking about which we'll get into this comes in three colors black purple and blue. We have the blue color here, and I personally paid 160 dollars for this m11. So what are we getting here for just $160 we're getting a six point. Four inch display we're getting an okay camera setup with a 13 megapixel primary lens and an ultra-wide lens and depth sensor.

We have three gigabytes of RAM here, with the phone being powered by the Snapdragon 450. Probably the biggest feature of this phone is it's 5,000 William hour battery, but with all that out of the way, let's go ahead and check out the m11. So first thing I, love here is that this is completely sealed. With some plastic wrap. I know that sounds silly to be excited about, but these other Samsung Galaxy budget phones they're not coming with any bit of plastic, wrap or any adhesive or anything.

The box is open right up. This is a brand-new Galaxy, a 21s which I haven't reviewed or unboxed yet for the channel, but it opens right up. I haven't even touched this phone at all, yet so just really nice to see that here, alright right on top, we have our galaxy m11 go ahead and put that to the side. Oh, I'm liking that metallic blue color have our 15 watt fast charger here very nice to see fast charging come in the box with the phone. This inexpensive opposed to some other brands charging more than twice the price for a charger.

From a decade ago we have a USB type, a two type C charging cable and on the bottom of the box we have our sim ejection tool. There is no case included with this phone. Some other Samsung budget phones do include a case, but in this box here we have some paperwork, but now let's go ahead and check out the galaxy m11. So on the front here we have what I believe says an outscore chipset. We have that Snapdragon 450.

We have an infinity o display, so we have a hole-punch in the top-left similar to what we have on the a11, and then we also have that five thousand William hour battery, let's go ahead and boot up and while we're booting up, let's check out this metallic blue color wow. This is really cool. Color I, don't think my lighting here and the camera is showing the color that I'm seeing it looks a lot more blue I'll. Take this outside a bit later. To give you guys a better look at the color here honestly, it has a more of an aqua color to it, but I must say: I'm really liking the color on this m11 quickly.

Taking a look around the phone here on the right side, we have our power button and volume buttons on the Left. We have our dual SIM tray and a micro SD card slot, which is going to be very useful because this phone only comes packed with 32 gigabytes of storage. So if you download games or want to put movies and a lot of music on here, you're going to run out of storage, pretty fast for 2020 standards. If you're going to get this phone, I would definitely recommend picking up a micro, SD card off of Amazon they're only about $20, and it's going to give you a significant amount of storage on the bottom. Here we have a mic, our type C port and our primary speaker, and on the top we have another mic and a headphone jack.

Alright, first look in first impression of the six point four inch display here. It is pretty much identical to that of the Galaxy. An 11 I mean the bezels look. Pretty similar chin looks to be pretty much the same size. We have that exact same placement of that hole, punch cutout in the top-left, the Infinity o display so not too much different here from a display perspective.

We also have the same resolution here of 1560 by 720, so this is a 720p screen. It's not 1080p, and it's also not AMOLED, but I'm going to go ahead and put my information in play around with the phone for a little while, and then we're gonna. Do some initial testing on video, and I'll give you my first impressions on the Galaxy m11. Alright, so I've been using the galaxy m11 for a little while now and honestly, I am liking a lot of aspects of this phone first and foremost just starting with the overall build and design of the phone. It is a very sturdy device.

There are no gaps in it at all. You don't feel anything clicking around. It feels very nice. It does have a plastic build on the back and the sides there's no aluminum or anything. But this matte finish here on this plastic does feel very good.

It kind of has an aluminum or aluminum issue feel a comparison. We can make here's with the galaxy, an 11 which has this glossy ER finish on the back. I realize that I really don't like that. Nearly as much as this finish here, it's not going to show any fingerprints or anything, and this metallic blue color is awesome. I, really like that these more inexpensive phones are coming with some cool color options, but if you don't want something with flare like this, you could always go for the black option, and you'll still have that matte finish also, while we're looking at the back here, I love having the fingerprint sensor on the back of these phones.

I honestly wish this never went away. This was on flagship devices like the Galaxy Note 9, a lot of Samsung's, mid-range and budget to your smartphones. This year is coming with an optical fingerprint sensor, which is found in the display, but honestly, my usage, it's just less reliable. It just doesn't work as fast. In my opinion, it's just much nicer having it here physically on the back of these lower end phones.

So taking a look at that fingerprint sensor, very quick I'll, do it a couple more times looks good works every time, and it's very quick. Now we also have face recognition here. Works pretty well, looks good. Let's try! It once without looking at first, not too bad, alright. Next, when navigating throughout the phone just jumping through apps and such it's not too bad, it's going to be a little slow, depending on which app you open up and sometimes scrolling through things, can be a little slow.

General use cases have all been fine, pretty similar to many other phones that we reviewed on the channel. Let's jump over to Amazon here see how quickly stuff boots up not bad at all. So a lot of images, a lot of graphics here, able to scroll through all of them just fine, and you can scroll quickly as well. If you need to quickly scroll through something no issues at all there and, as you saw there, pretty smooth animations when moving to and from screens it's very easy to quickly navigate between your different apps, just overall, a good UI experience here and no issues in terms of navigating through apps. Next, let's take it over to YouTube and watch a video, so Samsung's Galaxy, a 71, no 10 light and s 10 light are three of the latest mid-range smartphone offerings from Samsung, which all offer an excellent user experience.

So content, looking good here on YouTube the hole punch cutout in the corner, really is not that much of a disturbance at all. If you're holding it in this orientation, it's off to the bottom left, you may not even notice it very minimal amount of bezels here and the sound is okay. It's not great it's about the same as on my galaxy, an 11, and it's significantly better on higher-end flagship Samsung devices, but for just sitting here watching YouTube. It's really not that bad. Furthermore, it's a fine experience in terms of the screens' brightness, that's also not bad either, and I did just have it outside for a bit to take some test photos which I'll show you a bit later in the video.

But honestly, the picture here looks good, and I know it's a 720p display and that might throw some people off, but watching YouTube here is fine, going through things on the home screen and just other apps in general. This screen is certainly sufficient. Next, let's transition over to some gaming and see if this phone can handle some lighter games, star dew valley. This is a game that I play on pretty much all my devices here on the channel. One thing I'm noticing, though, as I play here, is that when my left hand and thumb goes over the whole punch here, it's going to automatically adjust your brightness.

You can see that my brightness dipped down to below half when it was at max. So you definitely want to go in here and turn off that adaptive brightness, so that when you're playing your games- and you have your finger thumb over that camera- the brightness isn't going to keep changing on you. So while this does have a little of lag, the game is still playable and at this price point it's awesome to see that you can do some light gaming here. Next I want to quickly talk about the cameras, so we have a 13 megapixel primary lens, so we have a 5 megapixel, a wide lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor and honestly, the primary shots are pretty good. When you zoom in on some of these photos, you are able to see some finer details like I, didn't even notice that there was an ant crawling on this one flower, but it was able to capture that and give it pretty good detail.

Also, on this other shot of flowers, you can see that depth sensor doing a little of work as it differentiates the flower and the background. So the background is a little blurrier and then there is focus on that subject of the flowers which is nice. But when you go into that wide-angle lens, you definitely lose a lot of your photo quality and I did have some concerns with the front-facing camera. It's definitely not the best out there I would say it is well below average. It does have a wide-angle option, which is nice.

If you want to have someone else there in the photo with you in terms of video, you can film 1080p 30 on the front and rear facing cameras, which is certainly acceptable for this price, but that is going to bring us here. ? my first impressions of the galaxy m11 and honestly for the price. I am really enjoying this phone. If you had to choose between the galaxy, an 11 and galaxy and 11 I would personally choose the galaxy and 11. The camera is definitely not on par with the series devices.

That's one difference, I've found between the galaxy m and galaxy a series, if you're having trouble, differentiating the two. These galaxies and phones, usually pack a little more performance and a lot more battery life, but take some hits and other departments primarily the camera. The six point four inch display, despite being 720p and not AMOLED, honestly looks fine and everything looks great on this phone. Viewing angles are okay, they're, pretty good and brightness certainly gets bright enough. You can see it outside in sunlight and the two best things about this phone are that one general usage is great here, all the basic tasks I've thrown at this phone.

It's handled it very well and having that, in addition to the additional battery life, this is definitely a win for consumers within this price range. The five thousand William hour battery is definitely going to last you a long time. I did not even lose 20% in the core of making this entire video from turning on the device setting it up downloading hundreds of apps playing some games watching YouTube doing some shopping on Amazon web browsing all these tasks thrown at this phone. It's barely depleted the battery, so I'm definitely looking forward to testing that out further for you guys and then. Lastly, just the overall build is just a great feeling phone I'm, just very surprised of that for $160.

You are definitely getting a great overall device here. But what are your thoughts on the galaxy m11?
