Hey guys welcome to my new video. This is galaxy. A8 s Samsung's new mid-range smartphone. This is also the most interesting color variant, a gradient green with black finish now. This is Samsung's. First attempt of a smartphone with all screen and a small camera hole display now soon, something similar will be seen in galaxy s 10.

Actually, if you can't wait to see how galaxy s 10 will look like this is exactly the same look alike. The phone comes with infinity or display and a triple camera setup at the rear. On the front it has impressive 24, megapixel camera. Also, it has a six point: four-inch full HD, plus IPS LCD screen made by BOE a Chinese company. This is 128 GB variant, but also you can add up to 512 GB of external storage.

I'm, really impressed by the amazing look of the smartphone for a mid-range price. This definitely looks extremely premium. Just like the galaxy s, 9, or I must say: Galaxy S 10 on the side it has a volume and power button made out of metal has a solid feel to it on the top. It has a secondary microphone on the left side. It has a hybrid dual SIM with water protection rubber on the side as a phone is ip68 certified.

Also, there's a big speed button at the bottom. There is no 3.5 mm, headphone jack, a single speaker, USB type-c port and a main microphone. Let's turn on the smartphone for the first time. Also, for some strange reason. The phone does not support wireless charging. The smartphone also comes in blue and gray gradient colors. Now, let's finish, the setup. Samsung has given multiple language options, which is good.

Let's head up the face, unlock feature of the device and see how does it work, so one good thing is that Samsung is giving you a cool option here. If you wear sunglasses for most of the time, you can put them on and register so that it will recognize your face with or without the sunglasses more accurately, I think it's a good feature, because usually the face unlock, always struggles when you are wearing sunglasses. Setting up the face, unlock was quite fast. Now setup is done, and here is the new home screen with Samsung's new wallpaper. Actually it looks quite cool.

Did you hear that yeah here's a classic Samsung tone? The display of this device is not like Samsung's flagship devices, but still a decent one. In fact, quite good, it is done by Chinese manufacturer b. OE at the moment, is a leading manufacturer and competing with LG's panels for LCD and LED TV. But one thing is there with the AMOLED screen that, even if you have an older, Samsung flagship, like a note 5 with the AMOLED display, it still has a better display than this one, because this is an IPS display. The viewing angles are good in both like every Samsung screen. It has a purple tint and on the red weed, has a blue tint, which can be adjusted in the display settings in both the devices. One bad thing about the camera hole design.

Is that I'm not sure if it's clear in the camera there is a small color shifting behind and on the side of the camera hole you can call it like a color bleeding I'm, not surprised, as I have seen similar color shifting on owner view xx, which is also having a camera hole on the LCD. These are some new design with a camera holes so definitely near the hole area. You will have some color shifting and most of the devices coming with that, but I'm perfect to see how Samsung s10 is gonna. Do that one more thing I need to mention here is that, despite all screen and a camera hole design, there is still some bezels on the side and a very tiny chin at the bottom I'm sure galaxy s, 10 will have fewer bezels but similar design. The back of the device is fingerprint magnet, but luckily, because of the dark color does not show.

Now, let's see how does the face unlock work? It is not that impressive. For some reason there is a small delay. Let's try again, let's compare it with Redmi Note: 7 face unlock I, think Redmi, note, 7 face and lock is much faster than on the Samsung Redmi Note.7 is almost half the price of Samsung and has a faster face. Unlock the design is definitely better on Samsung, then the Redmi Note 7. Also, the screen quality is slightly better on Samsung.

The viewing angles are good in both the devices. Let's see what software is running. Unfortunately, the device is not coming out of the box with Android P or Android 9. Now, let's register the fingerprint scanner and see how fast it is to register the fingerprint scanner. It was very slow process. It took a long time to register for a moment. I thought I am using an iPhone 6 jokes apart. The unlocking speed is good, but not very fast, but still is decent.

It is definitely better than the face unlocking now, let's come to the most interesting part, the camera on the rear. It has triple camera setup with the main 24 megapixel shooter, plus 10 megapixel telephoto, and a 5 megapixel depth sensor. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with dual LED flash. There is a single LED flash. The camera can record 4k videos, but there is no optical image stabilization.

Now one thing which will hurt the most is: it doesn't have the amazing dual pixel autofocus, unlike the galaxy s 9 or the note 8, which is very good for focusing this- has just a normal face: detection mode on the front it has 24 megapixel camera with two dots / pitcher. Also, the camera UI has tons of features like light focus, beauty mode, pro camera panorama, mode, super slow-motion, AR, emojis, etc. , etc. There are tons of features by Samsung. So on the paper, the camera looks impressive.

Now, let's see how does it perform in reality? Let's see some sample images and videos. The camera is good. Pictures came nice with a lot of details, especially the front. Camera was extremely impressive. The lot of details in the pictures and the pictures were quite sharp with good colors.

The quality of the video is also quite decent. If you have a steady hand now very important question, can it play pop G? Yes with a decent frame rate, and it has a very good GPU? Now, unfortunately, it doesn't come with the 1 UI update. The performance should be fine, considering it has a Snapdragon 7 1110 processors, but for some reason the Samsung UI looks quite heavy on this smartphone. The phone has a 3400 mAh battery and my small testing, it looks impressive I think it can easily last for one day of battery life easily. So it's raining quality mid-range smartphones this year, I have also Redmi Note 7 on the right very impressive smartphone for this price in terms of the size both are quite similar now Redmi Note, 7 looks quite good, but Samsung definitely has an edge and definitely looks more premium between the two from the front.

Also, Samsung has an edge in terms of the screen size and almost no bezels at all. Now display is good on both, but Samsung has brighter display and slightly better than red me. Despite having a weak, chipset Xiaomi seems little faster in opening applications and face unlocking, but there is nothing installed on both these devices once heavy applications and photos, videos are installed, we will no actual performance overall, the phone looks stunning, especially the color, and it does have a premium feel in hand. Now, in terms of performance, it feels like processor is quite good, but Samsung's heavy UI and the animation is keeping it a bit. Slow camera is decent for a surprise.

Battery life looks impressive. The good thing is that the phone is ip68 water-resistant. It comes with a fast charger, which is quite impressive. I have to also mention few cons. The removal of headphone jack is not cool.

No wireless charging single speakers, no optical image, stabilization for videos, no AMOLED display face unlocking, is a bit slow and not all the games can play over the camera whole display some games can play.
