Samsung Galaxy A70s - Full Review, Specs, Camera Samples

Samsung had launched the 850 and the 70 last year this year, they've come up with the follow-up, the 50s and the 70s. This was the 70s. A major upgrade in the approach has been the design, a beautiful back with a geometric pattern, performance and overall, a better value for money. The 70s seems to be built for two things: great display and a great camera, and why not? It's got a triple camera system, with the primary lens being 64 megapixels and enlarged 6.7 inch, Super AMOLED display with fit plus resolution. But what I really like about the 70s is the design and specifically the back it kind of beats all the other players in the market that are offering a phone in this price segment. It just sort of looks and feels much more premium than the rest I really like the way.

The light falls on it love the colors that get thrown off, and if you see carefully, you might even see hues of orange coming off. You know, depending upon how light falls on it and the conic the prism design, which is actually introduced with the galaxy, a 50s that you see on the right. You will see the similarities in the design right there, so yeah, the 70s has just come after the 50 years and I also have the previous a 70 with me. And just do you know quickly do a comparison. You can see that the 70 has this really nice, subtle ceramic white, look to it as compared to the 70s which now has the prism design, and it's really different.

So the phones made out of polycarbonate. It feels a bit like glass, but the, it's its polycarbonate, and it would attract fingerprints, but maybe not as much as glass. So that's actually good. Moving on you get the headphone jack type, C charging port with superfast 25 watt charging, which trust me is really fast on the right. You have your power and lock key, which is also the big speed button and on the left.

You have your SIM card tray, which can house two SIM cards and one micro SD card expandable to 512 gigs of storage, all three of them together, brilliant now there is no information, whether the 70 s is water and dust resistant, but to some extent most phones. Today are, so you know if it was raining, and you were to step out and there were some splashes it'll be fine. It's not IP 68! So, like the note, 10 or the s10 plus, but yeah don't suggest taking it out for a swim. It'll, surely block the phone in terms of how it feels in your hand, I think it's a little wide I personally prefer narrower devices because they're easier to hold it this one's just a bit of a stretch, also because it's a large device, so you can't really expect an easy one hand grip, but yeah it's white now for a device. That's got a six point.

Seven inch display, you know its massive, but it doesn't feel as heavy and bulky as you would expect. Now. Let's talk about the display, which is definitely one of the good things. Six point: seven inches of screen, Super, AMOLED and fit plus resolution, it's colorful, saturated, deep blacks, and it's very bright. So even when you're outdoors, you could just crank up the brightness, and you won't have any issues in terms of reflection.

It's a great screen to stream videos or watch movies, or even play games and yeah. It's a big one. So it's pretty immersive experience now the screen to body ratio. It's decent. There are phones that have more screen and lesser body in the same price range, but this isn't bad either.

An u-shaped notch at the top and almost equal bezels on all four edges, makes it a pretty uniform looking display. Just one thing: I wanted to point out is that the phone ships with its screen mode set to natural. You must change that too vivid to really exploit the super AMOLED nature of the devices display now I cook, you wanted us upon the loudspeaker of the phone. Don't expect much from it! It's not too loud. You know you definitely would need a pair of your phones or a pair of external speakers.

If you were to consume any sort of media. You know whether it's games, videos or movies. You know, especially if you're, in a slightly crowded place. Also, you can't really depend on the loudspeaker of the phone. Now, let's move on to the OS, it's running Android 9 Pi with Samsung one UI version 1.1. Now one UI is Samsung's latest interface that ensures you know it puts all controls at a thumbs reach and allows you to interact with the phone.

A lot easier with just one hand in terms of pre-loaded software Samsung was really notorious in the beginning it got better in between, and again it started loading too many amps now. But you know there are some perfect tools that are already built in, like the voice recorder, the file manager, the Google suite of apps and the Microsoft apps, but for some reason it now pushes Amazon shopping booking daily hunt, prime video and Snapchat. For some reason, rest of the other apps are actually downloaded. So don't worry about them now, but you know the good part. Are you can uninstall these apps? If you don't want them, you can disable or uninstall, which is great now what the galaxy is.70 SP upgradable to android 10, no news as of now, but even if it were to happen, it'll happen pretty late. So just something that you need to be aware of.

Also, it's gotta be at Moss. It only works when you have a pair of your phone's connected wired or wireless, but it's fabulous. I mean I've been talking about Bobby Atmos for a while and I also think it's very underrated. It's very lesser-known feature of the Galaxy phones, but this one's got it and guys. It's truly.

You know it changes the way you experience sound, especially when you're watching movies, it's just more cinematic louder. It's got more depth and surround sound effects. So definitely something you want to try out and experience for yourself, it's very hard to articulate how it feels when you have Tommy Atmos turned on and guys it's got the full version of Samson pace. So you can scan and store your credit cards and make payments on pretty much any machine that accepts credit cards. It is such an underrated feature.

God knows why, and you know, I use Samsung play all the time. I mean it's such a no-brainer. For me, I just don't know why people don't know about it and even if they do, they don't use it. It's just super convenient. So if you've got any questions on Samsung pitches feel free to comment in the section below, and I would answer them in terms of security.

It does have faced unlock, but it's really kind of slow as compared to other devices in this price range. It's just not as fast, but the fingerprint unlock is actually quite fast, its optical, it's not ultrasound, which is fine, because you know all phones have optical at this price segment, but yeah. Furthermore, it's just faster than face unlock, so I would definitely recommend this one over face all right. So let's talk about performance, the 70s comes with snapdragon 675, which is a decent mid-range processor, and it comes with two variants, one with six gigs of ram and the other with eight weeks of ram. Now, for the most part, six gigs of ram is just more than enough for a daily use perspective.

But if you want to future-proof your phone for at least three to four years, just spend the extra two thousand and get the eight gigs variant but yeah it's not a performance King for sure you know it will deliver a pretty satisfactory experience. It won't blow your socks away, but you'll be able to multitask. You know your apps will open and close fairly quickly, and you can play pretty much all games in medium to high graphic quality and that's pretty much what most users want. You know. The processor enables the phone also to take and process 64 megapixels photos which we'll talk about later, and I'm.

Just playing asphalt, 9 here in you know, Full HD, quality and I. Don't really see any issue, you know the gameplay is pretty smooth and the response to touch is as good as any other phone that I have ever played that game on and even pop G. You know it's its a streaming game, so it obviously depends a lot on the internet and the capability of the phone to be able to optimize resources for a lag free gaming experience and again, no issues whatsoever. Also looking at the performance scores is valuable to a huge difference and some sort of deviation. If you look at the rankings, you know the Asus before 6 is at seventh.

Then there is the red McCabe 20 pro at 11, and then there is also honor 20 at rank 21, and then you know the Galaxy a7 tiers is sort of all the way down to 57 and that may make you wonder, what's really happening so yeah. Definitely there are better performing phones in the same price range or even lesser than the Galaxy a7 TS. So if performance is really important to you definitely explore other options. But having said that, it doesn't mean that the s 70s is a bad performer. It's still pretty fast, it's just not as fast as some other phones in the same segment and now moving over to the camera, which is one of the most talked about feet of the phone, because it does feature or 64 megapixel camera, and it's called an action camera which is probably because it has the super steady mode which you know lets you record videos shake free, it's one of the features that was first introduced with the galaxy s 10 or the s 10 plus I suppose, and it sort of moved over to the galaxy, a 70s which is pretty good just running through the specs real quick at the back.

You have a standard triple camera system, a primary 64, megapixel lens and ultra-wide lens at 8 megapixels and a depth sensor at 5. Megapixel here are some samples that I took- and this is what I took with you know the regular 64 megapixel lens and the pictures are actually quite nice. Obviously, all of these are available for download, so just go ahead and download these from the link below and have a look yourself and decide how you really like the photos for me, I. Think it's as good as any other phone in this price segment. Here are some shots that I took using the ultra-wide lens and yeah.

You can see the difference. You know. Ultra whites are amazing. You know they're able to capture so much more in a single frame, and they're able to give so much more depth and context to your photos. So you can see how you know I've been able to take some perfect photos with the ultra-wide lens.

So definitely you know it's a's a plus for me, and even at night, when I tried taking a shot with the ultra-wide lens on the right. As you can see, it was actually not that bad now here are some pictures using the depth sensor, lens and I think it does a pretty good job too. You know it's able to segregate the foreground and the background pretty well, and you can obviously reduce or increase the level of blur. Even after you take the photo, you can vary the intensity in your gallery, and these are some shots that I took using night mode so on the left, you would see without the night mode and on the right, you'll see with the night mode and there's just some. It's just more light and a little more definition when it.

You know when you look at photos that are shot using the night mode. Not always does it make sense. So you can see here. There is a lot of backlight already, so the night mode did not free really matter, but yeah, otherwise, I think the night mode definitely helps, and it just adds a little more brightness to your photos, and it reduces noise levels as well, so yeah definitely use night mode if you think the backlight is low and, lastly, the battery it's got a 4500 milliampere or battery, which is massive and given the processor I think it'll easily. Last you the entire day without any charging.

In between and even have some to spare at the end of the day like about 15 to 20 percent, again regular usage, which is hard to determine but yeah, you know it's a pretty good battery life. It's got a 25 watt, superfast charger, the one that you get with the Galaxy Note 10, to get up to 50% from 0 to 50, for the minutes, which is just amazing, so yeah from a battery perspective, I think you're pretty sorted with the 70 s. So to conclude, you should get the Galaxy S7 TS. If you're looking for a phone with the premium, look and feel to it a great big massive display and a good battery life, you can throw into the mix. You know, features such as Bobby at Mars and Samsung pay, which is very lesser, seem and any other phone in this price segment and the ability to shoot shake free videos with you know: super steady mode and a 32, megapixels, selfie, camera I.

Think all of that makes for a pretty good phone and reasons why you might prefer this over any other phone in this price segment, but yeah. If performance is important to you, then you can explore other options because well it's gotta be some processor and there are phones that will offer just better performance in general, but they may not be the best overall experience. If you remember that Samsung, it's quite a brand reputation and credibility that other manufacturers may not have, and also it's got a great after sales support. I mean you've got a lot of customer care, customer service, centers that other phones might not have, and I think that's the premium that you end up paying with a Samsung phone. So that's it from me guys if you've got any questions on the 870s feel free to leave them in the comment section below I know I'm a little late on this review, but nevertheless we have it.

So thank you for watching guys and see you in the next one.
