Samsung Galaxy A51 vs Galaxy A71 | Comparison!

What is going on everyone. My name is Kevin today we're doing a full comparison and showdown between the two latest revisions in Samsung's, a series smartphones, the galaxy, a 51 and galaxy. A 71 are going to be super hot selling phones this year coming to tons and carriers and stores in this video we'll see if the 71 is truly the better device and what features set these devices apart. First thing is a physical overview of both devices. The galaxy a 71 is ever so slightly wider and noticeably taller. This exercise allows it to have a display that is 0.2 inches larger than the a51. Both are sporting, Samsung's, rainbow finished plastic back I'm offended this material, mostly the look of it, and it has the benefit over glass and aluminum the reduced device weight.

A brief look around the phones will reveal these have the same placement of ports, buttons and cameras, the hole, punch front camera cutout on the 71 is larger, and for this reason the 51 takes the win in terms of design. For me, all the features that really impressed me about the galaxy, a 51 are also on the 71 that includes the on-screen fingerprint scanner, the face unlock, the micro SD card slot and all the camera modes that are enabled by for camera lenses. To my surprise, the fingerprint scanner and face unlocked biometrics performed at the same speed once unlocked we're greeted by the beautiful AMOLED displays that are now expected from Samsung's mint to your phones. They both have a resolution of 2400 by 1080. The difference is in pixel density and the panel type the 51 has a more pixel than screen.

It's their standard, Super AMOLED at 405 pixels per inch versus 393 on the 71. Now the 71 s display is Super, AMOLED plus, which on paper sounds like it would for sure, be the clear winner when, in reality, the actual practical and visible difference between the two display types. Just isn't there. When it comes to battery life. There is a clear winner here: the 71 houses, an impressive 4,500 William hour battery, whereas its smaller counterpart has 4,000 Williams.

Now. For me, this translated to 45 minutes of extra screen on time on the 71 as compared to the 51 and really push those battery saving features. You can get up to an hour and 30 minutes of more use from the more expensive device. This being said, both will get you through a full day of heavy use as long as you're, not keeping those connectivity options on all the time like mobile hotspot. Before we get into the cameras daily performance gaming and the speed test.

Let's cover what comes inside the box with either device. The packaging is very similar, both come with earbuds a USB, cable charging, adapter and a SIM card tool. The a71 has a three amp superfast charger, whereas the a51 comes with a 2 amp standard, adaptive, fast charger. In effect, this means that the higher tier phone, even with its larger battery, will charge up faster. The a7ii wants earbuds are also a lot nicer than its counterparts, but it's important to keep in mind.

These phones will have different package contents from region to region. For instance, a lot of the people who are solving the comments of my 71 review didn't even get a phone case with the product. If you purchased either of these devices, I am curious to know. Did you get the same accessories that I did inside the box? Anyways? Let's move on to the speed tests. The first thing I want to show you is the boot up test winner before me? Do these tests I do make sure to close all apps, or at least have these same ones open across both phones to ensure the most accurate comparison? The boot up when goes to the a71 I had run a few other speed tests, see the difference between these chipsets for yourself, I went in depth on the performance of both devices in their dedicated reviews on my channel previously, the 71 was generally faster all around as expected, but the difference really wasn't all that drastic.

Naturally, I wasn't satisfied with the result, since the price I paid for the 71 was much higher than the 51. There was one minor thing: it was when the 51 had Bixby home enabled it had a noticeably harder lag than on the 71. With that Bixby service enabled you can just turn this service off and without it again there is no noticeable lag. I loaded up my favorite games, which happened to be graphically demanding, put them on the max settings and although the 51 is entirely playable, it did fall behind the higher tier phone, the 71 never heated up in games, even when the graphics chip was being pushed, whereas the 51 will heat up in these longer gaming sessions. If you're a hardcore mobile gamer, the decision is clear.

The 71 will be worth selling out the extra money. For this being said for the vast majority of us who don't need the extra edge and gaming performance, the differences overall between these two devices has been very minor so far. Leaving you to ask: does the camera performance of the 71 over the 51 actually justify this price difference? What better way to show you, then? A side-by-side comparison. I went out to Bronte harbor in Oakville and snapped these photos for you to judge personally I had a clear favorite between the two phones. The 71 produces superior images, in my opinion, from the main camera, its main camera lens is 64 megapixels, as opposed to 48 megapixels on the 851.

Now the other three lenses match up exactly in terms of specifications. As far as I can tell these are the same cameras being used across both devices. Neither phone can get great results from the ultra-wide and macro lenses, but the fact that they're here is still appreciated in terms of video capability. Both phones have 4k recording at 30 frames per second without optical image. Stabilization I also wanted to touch on the speaker quality.

The 71 is a bit louder, but the tininess of the audio quality is more prevalent across all the different registers of music. Overall, the ACE one is the better purchase. If you put an emphasis on your mobile gaming performance, there also is a better potential for a longevity of this device. None of the other categories actually justified the difference in price, and for that reason you can't go wrong buying either phone I have done in depth dedicated reviews of both phones on my channel already. So that will answer any other questions you have about these two devices you'll also be happy to know if you've seen those videos that I'm working on my 71 versus a 70 comparison, that was a phone from last year to let you know how this new device holds up against it.

I've also been working on. My Galaxy Note tonight review that phone might have gone under your radar, but I really think that is worth a look when my video comes out, if you're excited for any of these future upcoming videos make sure you subscribe to my channel with notifications turned on, and I will talk to you in the next video.
