Samsung Galaxy A51 Unboxing & Impressions By Casual Techies

Now without further ado, we have here the Samsung, a 51, this phone. It's its priced to, sell it's $300, it's not officially out in the US. Yet it comes out. Well, we've been researching it I, don't know they don't have an official release date for it um, but I'm assuming it comes out in the spring. So, let's see what this phone is all about.

This is a Samsung's budget phone yeah. It is budget problem and should compete with the for 8. That's about to come on the $4,300. Oh, man like I'm, a super cheap and the specs like it. It's there's a nice box.

By the way we get to look at this nice box, a nice blue, put that to the side Samsung Galaxy, a 51 has an onscreen fingerprint, that's well, that's a nice color right off the bat, but you feel like it this it's its light, but it's not. It doesn't feel cheap, very nice. Looking phone, alright, so here's a phone look at the back. The back has a nice pattern to it, some triangles back there. It reminds me of the Google Play Store logo, for some reason: yeah.

It does look at this camera. Furthermore, it looks like the s20 line, that's what they were going forward. I like this design. This is a really nice design, yeah, and this is plastic, but it does not feel cheap at all. This is nice.

There's a nice foam good job Sam. So, let's see what else is on the back before we continue this over here white cable USB see we have a 15 watt fast charger. Nice touch, 15 watts some headphones. Let me see the parrot brand vivid anyway. Oh, it has a headphone jack.

No, these are not. These are Samsung headphones and I, a kg headphone, so you got some headphones here. Nobody has a headphone jack and then that's it. So very simple: please you get charger and headphones. That's it no paper! Oh, wait! What is more, there's more I like here is the sim ejector.

Oh, it comes with a case. Does it come with a screen protector —, because they've been doing that lately, and it does. It does come with a screen protector. Well, they set you up. Man, you see how this looks on I'm, not really a fan of clear cages, because they turn yellow laughter well, but it is free.

I'll, take you wow, that it is sleek. It's slim doesn't add that much thickness to the foam itself, good job since Samsung, and you guys doing good all right. There's look at the phone, real, quick. So here's a tray here have a lot of the see you see. The camera wants to focus.

No I'm, going to focus. Okay! Well, there's a tray here are the Bones power over very quickly too got on the bottom. How big is that on one speaker and the headphone jack? How big is the camera back? It's its! It's not that big, it's there, but it's not it's not that big! That's nice color money! We like that guy, the cameras not does it wobble on the team, not more because I shake each other wanna. Allow us to test that all right. So if it's its plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap, I, don't know if that makes sense, because plastic usually does feel cheap, but this doesn't it just feels premium.

This feels good. Even the sides are plastic, but it feels nice, so I'm going to turn this on, put in all our information and come back and tell you guys what the experience is like see. You guys back in a few alright guys we're back been messing around with this. For about two hours now and I have to say man I'm really impressed we're both really impressed by this phone here for $300 you're getting so much, and the sacrifices aren't even that like important to the best thing like an average consumer or somebody that doesn't care about. You know having the the best specs like this thing.

Is it's yo $300, for this is crazy. So let's talk about first, let's get out of the way, and that's my talk. Thank you by the way. Let's get, let's get out of the way, the things that we don't like because, it's a small list, but first I never liked in in-display fingerprint sensor. Because luck see it doesn't work no match like it doesn't work that well it takes it, so it always takes a couple tries um.

That could be also an issue because of a screen protector that it brings on. But in our previous review of the no 10 taking off the screen protector doesn't really help that much either. That's one two has once it only has one speaker, and it's not good. It doesn't sound good at all 3, since it has a weaker processor. It feels a bit choppy.

Furthermore, it feels a bit choppy, but you're only going to notice that if you have a premium phone with you every day, that's the only way, you'll know to say other than that. A regular person won't notice that what else the Libra this is, what I think the first thing I was when I put the volume down. If you hear it, you can all sleep in here actually Priam the vibration on this phone is awful. It's its it's its a petty complaint, but when you're used to premium vibrations and haptics, this feels cheap. That I.

Think! That's that's! That's it! That's the that's the list. It's a bunch of petty, petty things to gripe about. Okay. So now the what's good about this phone, these cameras are perfect. I have a, have a pixel for, and I was doing side by side shots, and I was really impressed by this camera.

Here, I'll show you guys some pictures here. Here's one I was never really a fan of like Samsung's life focus, but it does. It does a perfect job here in the colors and if the exposure is good, it's really nice. Here's a here's, a macro shot I like the detail, is, is nice a nice detail when you get really close up. Here's another macro shot I mean on the screen itself.

It looks a bit fuzzy, but it's still it's still a good camera. Here's another example of the portrait mode. It does it really detects the edges really well and then the colors are nice. It's a bright picture. Furthermore, it messes up a little on my finger though, but for the most part it does a good job.

Here's a video. This is a 1080p video. It looks good. It looks Li I like to I, like these cameras, and I'm, not a've, never been a fan of Samsung cameras, but you know these. These are good man.

I had for 200 bucks like IQ. Just can't complain about them, but does it compete with other budget phones like one I got three like 3a or does it there's a competed with budget phones over it? Does it come almost as it's a par with higher-end phones? The cameras like overall I mean the only thing you're sacrificing when it comes to premium. Phones is material, but this phone it feels perfect like it doesn't feel cheap at all and the cameras you're getting here these are. These are premium cameras, so I mean there's. You can't complain when it's when it's priced this low.

You can't, if you can't complain about it like a lot of the complaints that we have about. Other phones review is that the prices are too high, even though they're great phones, we can't recommend them because of the prices, but 300 bucks like come on. Look at these screens who, like edge to edge it's 1080p edge to edge. You only have the Infinity Oh punch-out here, but look at this like this is a premium looking modern phone. It has Samsung 1ui, 2.0, Android, 10, I'm, not sure how often this will get updated compared to like an S 20, because I think that's another problem with the budget. Phones, they don't get updated.

That's the thing why I would lean towards a picks up the VA, because oh yeah, that's a benefit of a pixel phone but headphone jack. That's always a plus fast charger in the box. Always a plus you get a case in the box: have phones like they're killing it here, yeah, there's, not there's nothing of real substance to complain about yeah. This, like new market is gonna, be taking over yeah I, really like what the market is doing here with these budget phones like I, was telling you off-camera that I would get this for, like my mom I. Look at this for me like if they continue to do stuff like this, like not just Samsung like anybody, Motorola LG Google, if they continue to do stuff things like this, with their budget lines, premium phones are what like who, from coming out.

My main phone I would propagate as my main phone as the premium, but as my secondary phone yeah, but everybody, but I know. That is true. Nobody had lady, you know, that's for the masses has Bigamy if anybody likes Bigamy I forgot about that yeah take away that they take away the big deep line here and another I and again psyche Pines, always like that, but yeah man. This is a is like if anybody's looking for a Samsung phone and they and they're on the tight budget, this phone right here, man, I highly, recommend it like this- is an a-plus right here in this on this.
