Samsung galaxy a50 | two years later .

Hey, what's up guys Davis here Brock, another video today, I'm going to be talking about the galaxy a50 two years later after its release. That's just an approximate number two! Yes, I imagine it's more than that from the time when it was released. Yeah, I'm just to basically be giving you guys my thoughts on how it has held up and should you still buy it in 2021, yeah, so yeah. If you're new to my channel, please help me and subscribe and if you end up liking what is in the video give me a thumbs up I'll, be grateful for that so yeah they started out the video talking about the galaxy a50 in 2021 right, so I'm going to be talking about it, a few things in uh particular categories like on the display. Now the things that interest people you know the battery life and uh performance. Obviously the cameras, maybe the speakers yeah display all right.

So, let's start with the display yeah. Let me just put that in case that I can place it down without any issues. You know you want to be scratching your phone, okay, great. So when you start off with the display on this side, the display on the f50 has held up really nicely. It's a 1080p, approximately six point, four inches.

If I'm on my second yeah, so it's not the biggest one. You know it's even weird, saying that 6.4 inches isn't big back in the day. It was massive right now I can see without any issues that uh yeah 6.4 inches, isn't too big any more right. So this feels like a small phone right today, standard 6.4 inches, at least in my case, I feel like it's a small phone yeah, so the display is held up really nicely. I see the ammo lead is really nice.

As you can see this wallpaper, the colors are popping so well, and the dark areas is really dark and yeah. You normally dark. It's really nice. Maybe the only thing missing, obviously, is the nice hats or the high refrigerators, but that's no big deal. I mean to me at least this one at the time when it was released, I mean not.

Very many. Mid-Range phones had uh the high refresh shirts at the same yeah. That was in 20 20, 19 yeah, so when it comes to this plow stage has held up nicely you're going to be enjoying video and this is no problem yeah. Maybe the problem that you'll be having is that to speak on this, because this is actually the best it's actually underwhelming at the time. I remember when I had these phones, because I was, I used to own the galaxy s70 at the same and the speakers weren't really all that that good.

I believe there seems because this is this one under yeah: it's not the loudest speaker. Actually, the biggest problem with this is its kind of not so loud for you to listen to it and really okay try to enjoy it. Maybe a lot to play that full volume, yeah and, as you know, sound usually distorts if you're playing uh he's in this speaker, usually at full blast, is going to it's going to become what this is not going to sound the best. You know- and this is just a single frame speaker at the bottom, so yeah and the quality out of it is not really the best. But it's not, so it's not also a big wasp, and I say just in between okay, it's just good.

It's okay, yeah, sound! Better! The volume is the problem. It's not that loud yeah! That's what also for that. So for media consumption, you're going to have a very good display, but not the best speakers yeah. Otherwise, I say this place held up nicely: yeah, really nice. So moving on to the software side of things, I mean the software you're still good to go with this one right now I'm running uh, android 11 when you i3, so I mean yeah, you got the latest and greatest, and I just received the July security patch, so yeah this one is still supported mostly, but I don't think it's going to be receiving under 12 upgrades, so yeah you're, hoping for that.

No, it's not going to happen so yeah. For the software front. I think you're still good to go, because I mean, unless your person who's interested in having the latest stories, because I mean I believe uh 11 was the last. We dropped it for this phone. I imagine you'll still get support in form of security updates, maybe monthly or maybe what's Ali, maybe even every six months, because it's yes uh, it's not getting old.

You know. Listen to the days two years old, there were many other phones to be supported. At this point you know yeah, basically, for the software reference I'll say it's fine. We have android 11, which is the latest and greatest, as of now Andrew is still in beta, has not yet fully released so yeah. So the software front is too good to go still nice and uh.

Now we move on to the performance and I think that's the weakest point of this phone in 2021. I remember when these phones were new, because I owned, I owned them. The seventeen fifty the one and the one disappointing thing about the mozzarella is the performance I mean Samsung. Did everything great other than the performance on this and to this date has only gotten worse, obviously maintain the performance is the weakest point. You know when I'm playing face.

You know I can't play this. I cannot play what um. I don't play this space game, a full graphic setting without the phone. What and whatnot you can see that it's you're going to see major frame drops like this one you're going to be struggling. You should try to play the full graphics settings.

Even the mid-game is not really stubby in this video, so the performance on this not so convincing, that's one of the biggest problems. Actually, I think and uh for most people I imagine performance is really important, but otherwise for daily tasks. I mean social media and whatnot they're going to be fine, and maybe you can play games at the medium graphic settings when it comes to playing extreme, I got extreme graphics. Are you not going to have the best experience with this one and yeah? The performance, I imagine, is the weakest link for this phone. For me, at least in my view, because of 2021- and I think that's something Samsung Galaxy series smartphones.

They really give you everything other than their performance, that's it and for many people I mean there's a big lead down yeah, but otherwise display speakers, because I'm not good. The performance is that we just link moving on to the cameras. I mean this was released with the 25 dual 25 mp cameras and the front had a 25 megapixel camera and at the back you also had the two fan main pixel camera and also an ultrawide that DMP yeah. So the cameras also they hold up nicely just fine they're, okay, they're, not terrible or anything other than the ultra camera just see the colors on it are not really the best. Has this yellowish tone.

It is not really the best. You know not the best experience as a yellowish tone, especially in video when you're recording video with the ultra camera on this. It's not the best. It's really yellowish like it has a jello stone. You can actually tell the cameras like when you're switching between the main camera and the ultra.

You can tell the very big drop in quality yeah, but maybe it's important and not many phones at this price range or for white angle cameras. I think it's a bit other than the color issue has a little detail. You know it will capture some detail, but the collision can be solved with software, but at this point I mean if it has not been solved within the three years right. So that's it for the cameras. Front-Facing camera is too really nice actually yeah.

I like the front-facing camera 35 megapixels, we'll get some niches from that. That's a big issue yeah, so the cameras are still okay, solid other than the ultraviolet camera. Don't buy this phone just for the ultra-right camera? No, it's not going to be the best experience yeah. So you only can see battery life, 4000, m8, battery and uh I'll see the brush is just okay. It's nothing! Special! Don't expect a lot from the battery life.

If you really push it, you can easily kill it in a day again, if you're conservative, you can easily use it throughout the day and have no issues so yeah about your life or seize okay, so yeah. So with the price trips on uh on this device. I think it's its a very good device for you to get into digital one, especially if you personally didn't care about uh performance too much you don't care about the high refrigerator or not. This is a solid phone to get I mean good display performance is just uh, not really the best, but okay, you can do with it. You can know the possible games too much.

It's going to be fine, you don't have any issues yeah, you have the latest software in android 11, which is obviously I don't expect it to get under 12 and maybe make it and whatever one you like. For I don't know it's a possibility. I don't expect it to happen anyway, yeah, so that's it for the review, guys the galaxy a50 in 2021 and if you end up liking, if you like what you've seen in the video give me a thumbs up I'll, be grateful for that and uh. If you're new to the channel call me and subscribe I'll, be grateful. Thank you guys for watching peace.
