Samsung Galaxy A50 Review - Good camera, annoying fingerprint scanner

Hello tech lovers welcome back to my channel. It's been a while but today I'm going to review a mobile phone! The Samsung A50! It's got a great design, I'm loving the USB C and 3.5 jack for those who like to use wired headphones or microphones. Triple camera setup on the back, 25, 5, and 8 megapixel camera and a beautiful edge to edge screen. The model I've been using comes with 128 gig onboard so plenty of space for games, storage of photos and videos. While it's nice to have a phone that feels lightweight in the hand one thing I wasn't too keen on was this back felt very slippy, feels like a bit of a fingerprint magnet as well, so you might want to consider getting a case for this to make sure it doesn't slip out of your hand. The screen size and the processor are more than capable of some gaming fun.

I've tried this with a range of games from platformers to racing games to first-person shooters and I haven't had a problem with any of them. The speaker is on the bottom which means you may end up covering it with your hand if you are using this in landscape. Games around incredibly smoothly, the screen's very responsive, plenty of space to touch all the controls and still see what you are doing. So I've come to Lytham to test out the Samsung's camera, as you can see it's a very beautiful day, nice and sunny, lots to see and snap. I've already been enjoying the hyper-lapse function and the fact that the camera has a wide angle feature as well so you're not just restricted to one look.

So I'm just have a little wander around let's see how the stabilization does and how they microphone does as well as I'm used a pretty good stabilization with the OnePlus 6 and in the background is that shaking? I'll be very interested to see. Hold it further out can you still hear me clearly? How good is the microphone? So talking of the OnePlus 6 let's just do a quick comparison. Which one do you think looks and sounds best? So is it the one on the left? How stable is that? How good is the audio? The one on the right, how good's the audio and video? How good was the stability? The one on the left is the OnePlus 6 and one on the right is the Samsung. Adaptive brightness is off, screen at full brightness still very difficult to see. Photo and video both excellent on this camera and it's got a few tricks up its sleeve such as slow motion.

One thing I really like about the camera is the ability to go back and edit live view photo so you go to the gallery app and you can change the effect. There's a range of effects to choose from: you have the standard blurry background, you have spin background, you have a zoom feature, and probably my favourite is the colour point, the camera does a really good job of knowing who the subject is taking the colour out from behind to the subject and it makes a really impressive photo I really like that feature. The other thing that really annoyed me about this phone was the in screen fingerprint scanner. This is the first time I've used one of these I was quite excited to try it out but I found it was quite slow and unresponsive even though I'd reprogrammed my finger prints a couple of times. So there you go that's the Samsung A50, a really good option if you want a decent phone that doesn't cost an absolute fortune thanks for watching I'll see on the next review.
