Samsung Galaxy A20s Unboxing and Review! Should You Buy this instead ?

So, so hey, what's going on guys Fred steak hop here- and this is the Samsung Galaxy a20s, an immediate successor to the Samsung Galaxy a20, so Samsung released this device some months ago, and I've been dying to get my hands on it to see what magic Samsung could have possibly done with this one, and also a lot of you guys have asked me several times to review this device, and I'm so glad the review is. Finally, here. As you all know, the aim here is to help you make that purchase decision, especially when the segment is filled with so many good alternatives, I'll leave a purchase link to every device I mentioned in the comment section below just in case. You have interest of getting one for yourself or your loved ones. The series devices have been a blessing to the budget segment. This series has brought the Samsung premiums to the budget segment.

If there's any word like that, you get that premium fuel you normally get on their flagship devices, so not exactly the same, but something close to it. This alone has put Samsung on the right track, because a lot of people tend to like the a series a lot. I want to tell you something here: there's a lot of difference when you hold a Samsung device and compare it to other android smartphones, especially the Chinese ones, but before we get deeper into the review, please kindly hit on the subscribe button to join this awesome family and turn on your bell notifications. So you get alerted when I upload a new video. So, first I want to say this thing has great hardware when I say great hardware hold on, I mean it is made from plastic, which is what you expect from this type of device.

But I need you guys to see the perspective I'm trying to create here the low budget segments and there's this feeling you get generally when you hold a Samsung device, whether it is a mid-range or a flagship device. There is this particular vibe. It brings. I hope someone can relate to this. So, instead of getting something very attractive and too shiny, you get a device that has a softer look that doesn't scream into your face.

Yet still feels and looks good. I like how it feels when you're holding it the rounded corners, rigid, solid, build and the overall weight distribution. All of this gives it a zero flex making. It feels compact and super nice to hold. The plastic has a glossy finish to it with makes it a fingerprint, magnet other negative thoughts to generate, which makes me wonder how it will fail in a long time.

Is it scratches easily other than that the build quality and design are okay on the right hand, side of the device we've got the power button. Only here on the left side, we've got the volume, rocker keys and the dual NATO sim slot with the micro SD card slot. At the bottom, we've got a 3.5, millimeters, headphone jack, a microphone, an USB type-c charging port and a speaker grille. On top, we've got another microphone at the back houses, a three camera setup, with a single flash, a fingerprint scanner and Samsung branding the 6.5 inch infinity v display houses, an 8, megapixel selfie camera. Speaking of the display.

This is one area I feel a little disappointed. It shifts from super mullet display on the a20 to an IPS display on the a20s, and it is a TFT panel for that. The display here is a downgrade from the 820. It is ok, but obviously not as good as what we had on the a20. The display is a 6.5 inch, infinitive display with a resolution of 720x1560 and a total pixels per inch density of 264. It has a screen to body ratio of 81.9 percent, hence the noticeable chain at the bottom. I don't find it to be that intrusive, but you will see a slight difference if you're coming from the a20 watching YouTube.

Videos on this device is still okay. It is sharp with vivid colors, but there's a slight shift in colors when viewing it from different angles. So what this means is that viewing angles are not particularly great on the performance aspect. I will say the snapdragon 450, processor and Arduino 506 GPU is capable for your day-to-day tax and playing some games on medium settings. The specs on paper aren't that impressive, but due to good software, optimization from Samsung one UI, I would say I am impressed here.

The CPU in here has a slight hp performance when compared to the Enos 7884 processors, on the Samsung Galaxy a20, both CPU is based on a 14 nanometer processing platform. So the Samsung Galaxy a20s comes with 30 gigabytes of ram and a 32 gigabyte of internal storage, which I feel it is too small. Considering the price you're paying for these 32 gigabytes of internal storage is one of the biggest downside here as well: android apps gross in size every day and for the price of 53 700 nairas. You can get a reasonably priced smartphone with good specs elsewhere. The only thing you won't get to be the Samsung user experience, because one UI is well optimized and the brand identity is what you would be getting as well.

The user interface feels fast and responsive enough for your daily attacks. Gaming on this device was great with low graphics settings, but the device quickly gets warm, and sometimes it can get uncomfortable. That being said, it is not something you cannot live with browsing the web and social media sites perform well on this device without any hindrance in performance. The 4 000 milliampere battery, coupled with an impressive software, optimization, makes this device feels like you, don't even need the included charger at all on a medium usage. You can go up to two days before needing to recharge again, but if you're, a heavy user, you rest assured that it can.

Last for a day during your working house, the galaxy a20 comes bundled with a 15 watt, fast charger, and it didn't break a sweat within charging times. It took about one hour, 45 minutes to charge from zero to 100, which I feel should be okay for most people, the Samsung Galaxy a20s has a down firing speaker. So, as a result, you can unintentionally block the sound during gameplay. Speaking of the speakers, this sound that comes out of it is okay, just listen to it yourself and tell me what you think about it. In the comment section below the a28 comes with the fast and reliable fingerprint scanner and face unlock, and they work effectively.

There is no complaint or whatever here about the camera. The a20s step up its game here by employing a three camera setup behind which is a 13 megapixel main camera, an 8 megapixel outward camera and a 5 megapixel step sensor. This is a step above the a20 which had just two cameras behind the a20s takes pretty looking images. When there is plenty of light, you get sharp defined details and pretty accurate colors. The images are well saturated with punchy details and at some point it shows why you should pay that extra cash high dynamic range is good and the overall image quality looks bright and sharp, and I'll say I'm really impressed on how it handles HDR portrait shots are okay and edge.

Detection is great, not the best, but it delivers consistent portrait images most of the time auto right angle, camera does a pretty decent job as well. The images from it is decent with good amount of detail, and it is pleasing to the eye, though it might struggle a bit in low lighting condition. Selfie, on the other hand, is quite decent as well. It is sharp with good details and overall image. Quality is what you expect from this type of device, and I would say I am really impressed with the results here: hey, what's going on guys first take off today, so this is basically what you get when you're shooting with a front facing camera on the Samsung Galaxy a20s yeah.

I like how the skin tone appears very. I, like the color of production as well, but there's a little of over exposure at the background there. Can you guys see up there? Yes, it's there, but I really like how it handles colors, and it's pretty nice. It's okay! Do let me know what you think about it in the comment section below. Let me know if you like the audio quality that is coming out from this device as well from what I'm seeing here.

I think it's okay, it's doable at least for the price you're paying for this. It is what it is. Okay, guys, all right. The 820s records video in 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second, and it is very okay. However, it lacks any form of video stabilization.

So if you don't have magic hands or gimbals like me, your footage will always remain shaky at all times, so that is it guys. The Samsung Galaxy a20s is a decent upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy a20. In many ways it is a decent smartphone, but the price would be one of the deciding factors here, and it might push some people away to a close competitor at 53.700 nairas or 148- I wouldn't say it- is that compelling considering what you might get from the likes of techno, Xiaomi and Huawei price plays a big role here, considering the specs on paper and strong competition it's facing, but you know being a Samsung device that premiums might make you want to jump on board with the Samsung Galaxy a20s. If you have any interest in purchasing this device, you can use the link in the description. Doing so will help support the channel.

Okay share your thought to be in the comment section below like I share this video to help someone make a purchase decision, and thank you so much for watching, and I'll talk to you in the next one. Bye.
