Hey, what's up guys tech tying here, and I am back again with a brand-new video, so before I begin this video. As always, I want to thank you all so much for watching this one. If you enjoy my content, make sure you leave a thumbs up also make sure you're subscribed to the channel and be sure to also follow me on my Instagram I'll leave my username down in the description, because that's where I really post um a lot of my upcoming videos and giveaways and things of that sort so make sure you keep up with me over there. If you have any questions, send me a message over there. I reply pretty quickly with that being said: let's go ahead and get started with today's video and in today's video we're going to be actually reviewing the Samsung's galaxy, a12 quad camera. So without further ado, let's go ahead and get started, and first we're going to talk about the cameras specs.
So you have four cameras. The first one is the main sensor, which is a 16 megapixel sensor, with an f 2.0 aperture and the second sensor. You have your wide angle lens, which is at 5 megapixels. You also have a 2 megapixel depth sensor, as well as a 2 megapixel macro sensor and, to be honest, the two most important cameras, let's be realistic, are the main and the wide angle, the macro and the depth they may come in handy, but at the end of the day I don't know how much they really mean to the consumer, and one thing that I am not complained but kind of I don't know seemed weird to me and still is, is the placement of the flesh. So it seems like it's in an odd spot like it doesn't even belong there.
I think they just rushed in the placement of the flashes, literally underneath the camera, where I think it would have made more sense if it was in the middle um between the four uh cameras but yeah anyway. So you're all you also have an eight megapixel front-facing camera, so the camera app on the phone is also simplistic straight to the point. It's just point and shoot, and this phone takes uh pictures really quickly. So literally, all you have to do. Is take it out opens the camera, app snap and shoot there, it is, and you can be also seamless, seamlessly switch between the wide angle and the standard lens, so the camera app definitely gets a thumbs up from me, and you have control over your settings, so you can actually turn on.
They have like a pro mode. You have your flash, you have your timer, you have your aspect, ratio controls and yeah. Definitely the uh! The camera app like I said, get some thumbs up for me now. Let's actually talk about what you guys are here for which are the pictures. So, first, it was a nice day out.
So that's a thumbs up. So, first, under great lighting condition, this phone can actually produce some pretty decent pictures. So, starting with this, the colors on this picture. Look good and exposure is good. The saturation on here I mean hey, it's Samsung.
They also they love to just slightly over saturate the pictures which make the which make them pop. So if you're into that, you're going to like it, if you're into natural pictures, then right off the bat uh. This one's- not it's not going to do that for you, so the next picture I want to test it out is the kind of detail, so this wall basically has a lot of these little indentation and things like that, and it does a pretty good job in bringing out details and pictures and now for the next picture. So I wanted to test out how this phone will perform. If I have the sky as the background, and so if you see the picture, I mean it's slightly overexposed, but in general this is a pretty usable picture.
Now, if you zoom in you can see that the sky is kind of overexposed, so that gives you a hint of how the dynamic range is going to be on this, and also when it's like, when the sunlight is hitting directly to your subject, it's going to overexpose, but that's an easy fix where you just tap and focus and just scroll down the exposure, take a picture and easy fix. So the next picture I wanted to test out the another picture of detail and focus. However, it did not do as well, and I can kind of understand for this type of um, for this, for these types of pictures, even like flagships, can sometimes struggle with it. So definitely understandable, but hey. I just wanted to test it out anyway, and also when you turn on HDR, you will see that this phone produces some pretty good shots.
So, for example, this one I turned on HDR and everything the dynamic range on here makes a big difference. It's actually one of the good ones, I would say it's slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy 821 and again this is with me turning on HDR. If the HDR was off, then the picture would look just poor now the wide angle. So this is a picture before the wide-angle and again looks pretty good. The colors are the colors are decent again, there is a problem with overexposing, but it's no big deal now when, when I turned on the wide angle and decided to take HDR shot so look how much of a difference that makes so the dynamic range on here is still perfect.
The picture looks nice and gives you this wide field of view, so it does have a 120 degrees field of view and brings out the detail in the picture after HDR, so the first picture was with no HDR. The second one was with high dynamic range, so the selfie camera does tend to soften the picture up, but overall, definitely a usable photograph. Now the video capability is meh. It's not really that good. So it's kind of pixelated it seems like they just scaled it up.
The only good thing that I found about the video is the fact that um, when you actually go to a subject and try to focus on it, I guess that's where the com kind of the macro and the depth sensor come in handy. They do a pretty. It does a pretty good job in actually focusing on a certain subject, so that gets though so that's definitely um a plus when it comes to the video camera other than that. It's me, that's how I really would describe it so overall, the camera on the galaxy a12 definitely did not disappoint. For the most part, the major issues are sometimes it does tend to over expose the pictures, the selfie camera, the photograph on the so the picture on the selfie camera is softened up, and also the video capability is just it's meh.
It's not really the greatest out there um, but yeah. Overall, I'm definitely I don't want to see them. I don't want to say I'm disappointed. Definitely this. This camera is pretty good in terms of the price point of the phone, so yeah with.
That being said, I mean, I hope you guys enjoyed this uh video. If you did leave a thumbs up, make sure you're subscribed, and definitely I will catch you guys in the next video thanks for watching.
