Samsung Galaxy A02 Review - Should You Buy It Or Not?

What's up everyone! I am Osman. In this video I am going to talk about the Samsung Galaxy A02. In this video, I will quickly unbox it, talk about its few specs and then at the end of this video we will decide that should you buy this device or not. So for that let's begin the video. :) So first of all, let's quickly unbox it. On the top of the box device image is printed and on the side of the box logo of the galaxy printed.

Now let's open the box. On the top there is envelope with the branding of the Samsung which contains few paperwork but there is no protection cover in this envelope. And next here is device, on the top of the device few features are printed on the wrapper. Let's open the wrapper, I bought this device in the gray color which is really cool. I will talk about its back design later in this video.

Let's see what we got furthermore in this box? Thankfully power adapter is available which is 7.8W. So it's not providing us fast charging. And then micro usb cable and a set of the headphone. And last this is the SIM tool. So this was a quick unboxing of the Galaxy A02.

Now let's talk about its design, the frame and the back of the phone is completely plastic so you cannot trust its durability. If you purchase this phone or going to purchase it then please also buy its protection cover as soon as possible to keep it safe from breaking its body. And on the back there are diagonal lines, as we saw on the Galaxy A12. We can feel those lines by rubbing our hand on it. And one thing which I saw different from the Samsung on the back of this phone, is these little white dots few dots are black or purple also.

These dots are really creating new look with the gray color on the back of this phone. A new design taste from the Samsung, which some people will like it or some people will also dislike it. If you ask me I will give this design 50 50 vote, not too much good but at least a new thing from the Samsung. And on the back there are two lenses for the camera and the flash under the camera bump. And on the end of the back there is a branding of the Samsung.

And on the front there is 6.5" IPS display with a resolution of 720p. Not too much impressive specs but in this budget i think we can compromise. And its pixel per density is 270, at least it's better than the Galaxy A12 which has 264 PPI. Display is not too much bad I enjoyed it while using. Graphics are clear and the colors are good so no issue in the display.

And there is 5MP selfie camera packed in the V-shaped. And the best thing I saw on this phone is that, we can jump to the 4K resolution while watching the YouTube videos. Which is really good thing in this budget. Brightness is enough that we can easily use our phone outside in the day. And on the bottom of the phone there are speaker, micro USB-port, mic and the headphone jack.

Top of the phone is completely clean. And the left side of the phone there are volume rockers and the power button. Right side of the phone house the SIM tray, and the same tray of the Galaxy A02 can support dual sim along with the dedicated micro SD card slot. So you can enjoy a dual sim with the external storage. And now let's jump to the performance part Galaxy A02 comes with the chipset from the Mediatek which is built on 28 nanometer process.

A really disappointing thing from the Samsung. In the Galaxy A02s we got a Snapdragon chipset which was built on the 12 nanometer process, 100 times more better than this 28 nanometer Mediatek, even there is a few bucks difference between the budgets of these two phones. I will definitely not recommend the Galaxy A02 chipset to the budget users, who need the good performance from the phone. I have the variant of the 3GB RAM with the 32GB of the storage. I tested the PUBG on this phone and in the PUBG we can only jump to the balanced graphics settings at the medium frame rate.

But the game lagged too much and the graphics were highly blurry and the gameplay loading with the delay. Next time I tried with smooth at low frame rate but still game lagged too much on the smooth setting. So in other words this phone is not for the PUBG gamers. I also tested the COD: Mobile on the Galaxy A02 and this game also lagged even at its low settings. Objects were blurry and sometimes enemies were invisible.

I don't know how you will fight with the invisible enemy. I tested the Asphalt 9 which also lagged, so this phone is definitely not for the gamers. And I will also not suggest this phone to those people who do multitasking and prefer the performance, because it's multitasking is also laggy sometime it hangs also which irritated me. So if you prefer the performance then this phone is not for you. And now let's check its camera performance for that let's put some numbers on the table.

Galaxy A02 has two lenses on the back instead of the triple or the quad. One lens is 13MP wide and the second one is a 2MP macro. So there is no ultra-wide on this phone. Image quality is ok not too much bad, focus of the camera is good but the colors are not too much impressive. Here you can see it's creating a yellowish effect which you can feel from these photos.

Macro shots as usually not so clear. What do you say about this camera? Please let me know in the comments below. Galaxy A02 provides us 1080p at 30fps video recording. Focus in the video is good but it loses focus quickly due to the movement of the phone. And the selfie camera is 5MP, here I took few my selfies.

Selfie camera quality is just ok in this budget, maybe you can share this quality on the Instagram and the Facebook. And now it's time for some remaining specs, battery is huge 5000mAh which is really good in this budget. And keep in mind there is no fingerprint sensor on this phone. Operating System is Android 10 with OneUI 2.0 at the top. And now last question that should you buy this phone or not? I will definitely say a big NO.

I will not recommend this phone to anyone if you already bought it then I am sorry for it. Instead of the Galaxy A02 I will recommend the Galaxy A02s, on which I already gave a review make sure to watch it link will be available in the i-card or in the description of this video. Reasons to not recommend the Galaxy A02 are: Bad chipset, no fast charging and not good camera. So this was the review of the Galaxy A02. I hope you found it helpful if yes then please like this video and subscribe my channel.

Watch my other videos till the next one. Take care. Bye Bye :).
