S21 Ultra vs Pixel 4 XL By Ace Lucero Tech

Hey, what's happening everybody, so I decided to use my Pixel 4 XL as my daily driver for the last five days, and this is after using my Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra as my daily driver for the last three and a half months now, all right, so the main thing is, and I'll admit it. I'm spoiled I'm used to liking all these features that you know that these Samsung phones have. You know all the different things you can do, and I know that's just like a folder to some people, but you know there are things that you can do. For example, you know on a Samsung device here you go smart, pop-up view, and even if I don't use it all the time, the thing with me is I like, knowing that a lot of these features are there. Okay. Now the only thing I want to talk about, because I've been using this camera on the pixel.

Quite a bit this weekend been at the baseball tournament huh it's uh. It's tough, there are more features on the Samsung camera and that's correct, but just for taking standard photos uh. You know I lean towards this Pixel 4 XL, all right just it's just is what it is all right now as far as like in general, you can see how I use the phone. I use these phones very similar. You can see I'm heavily vested in the Google ecosystem.

I've got all the Google apps going on um. I even tried using the Google phone dialer on this Samsung phone on the s21 ultra, but it just I don't know it didn't feel right. Furthermore, I don't know what it is sometimes uh. Whenever you're using a Samsung Galaxy device using uh the Samsung, some Samsung apps, it just makes sense and it just it feels better. Okay, that's just that is what that is, but on the Google Pixel 4 XL uh, all these google apps.

I mean for some reason, and maybe it's all mental, but I've had other people. Tell me uh tell me the same thing regarding this. The software on pixel phones say you're using a Pixel 4a or the whatever pixel phone you're using right now, uh pixel the software on pixel phones, something about it is just its super fluid. It's super smooth right, I'm not saying that I've had any issues with this, but at times it does remind me that it's a Samsung phone all right, you can jump into the can jump into the settings right and the settings on both of these they're awesome right. I think stock android has really matured and developed.

So, and I made a lot of videos about it. You know how you can adjust your you know your display and you just you got like a million and one things that you can do watching that you can do on your pixel device. You look good right here. Like this, I mean there's a lot of things you can do. I mean the know.

I mean it's not like the old days when you were kind of just like. Well can't do much with it and the Samsung phone. Of course. Let me get this off here and the Samsung device. Of course, you know the features, I call I don't even call them settings, I call them.

The features that you get with this device are just simply amazing. So, at the end of the day you know it just cut. It's like a nitpick thing for me right like say what would like to say if I could only use one of these phones for the next year. Of course, I'm gonna use this one right here, because I love editing videos and I love edit. I am really okay, I like editing video on here.

I love editing, photos on the s21 ultra or for that matter, Samsung Galaxy device for that matter. Okay, Samsung UI, has some amazing uh photo uh, editing, features and look you can do similar stuff with your pixel devices? Well, I've done it before here, but I just I like doing it here. I just I like it better, and I like the file transfer system on a s21 a lot better than like on a stock android phone. It's just. That is what it is.

You know Samsung does things a little differently and it just you know it just seems to work better. The displays on this phone right here uh, you know they both have a 1440 display, and you know I have them. You know tuned. Accordingly, you can really dig into the display settings on your s21 ultra and I made a lot of videos talking about that uh and I do I'm, and I'm using watch. Let me look over here all right.

Let's come over here, let's go over here to display real fast on the pixel. You know what am I doing here adaptive? Oh, my goodness. What am I doing here now? I can't even think advanced, so colors come over here to adaptive, so I'm using adaptive, you got boosting, and you got natural I'm over here with the adaptive and the reason I'm doing that I'm I'm used to using uh Samsung Galaxy devices and the display on these Samsung devices. I've always been more saturated and if you go into the settings on this phone, you can see how I've really pumped it up on this one right here, all right matter of fact. Here, let's check it out real fast.

So you can see what I've really done here. We'll come over here to display vivid, see what, and then I go to advanced. You can just see how I've tuned it further all right. So that is the one thing that I do notice whenever I go from uh the galley seat for this s21 to the pixel, 4 XL and the reason I'm comparing it to the pixel 4. This has an 800 series processor in it, and this has an 800 series processor in it.

Uh newer pixels do not have the 800 series processor, but you know what the way google optimizes the software and all that it. You still really don't tell it's not that big of a deal you know, but you know if you're watching this video more than likely you're a tech, nerd you're a spec nerd, so it matters to you, you're going to want to use the phone. That's uh that has the specs okay, you know the full-blown specs, and I'm hoping the pixel 6 uh when it drops, I'm hoping the pixel 6 is a full-blown spec monster. Just like this has 21 ultra I mean it. Won't have all the features that the Samsung has.

I mean you know Samsung, one UI is straight up. Amazing and Samsung brings the heat every time. Speaking of the heat. Yes, I play asphalt 9 on my Pixel 4 XL. I have not had any heating issues it just it does what it does.

Speaking of heating I've been in the sun with both of these phones hanging out no issues at all. Now I was in the sun not too long ago with um, which phone was it with my uh iPhone 12 Pro maps and wife talked about this already a lot uh. It heats up it just it is what it is. It's not a big deal. I know a lot of people will say: well, you shouldn't be standing in the sun with your phone, but sometimes look you can't help it sometimes you're stuck in the sun, and I've been at.

You know I've been at a baseball tournament. I've been Stu, I'm here in Arizona. So yes, I am stuck in the sun, so it is what it is all right, but I just want to say the Pixel 4 XL has not heated up on me. It hasn't done anything weird or nothing like that, and this phone right here has not either this one, the Samsung LEDs 21 ultra I mean yes, I've been using it as my daily driver, so I'm pretty much more versed, I'm more well-versed with this phone right now than I am any other phone, but man this phone right here is a trooper. Okay, build quality, while I'm holding you see how I'm holding it right.

I can really feel the heft on this one right here, but this phone right here, and I'll take the case off to show you real, quick, just real, fast, build quality. This phone is still amazing. It's hanging tough for those of you that watch my videos and know how I roll you all know that I'm doing everything with my phones, um. You know the display. There are no scratches on this display at all face unlock is amazing.

Super quick uh. You know never lets me down, but, as you can see, I don't know if you can really see there. There are no scratches on this display. All right. I have uh my iPhone 12 Pro max cuts, all sorts of scratches and stuff on it.

I don't, and I don't use it any differently than I do these devices here and there's no there are no scratches or there are no problems on this one, either on my s21 ultra but uh. Furthermore, I'm recording this video with my uh. What the uh, with the iPhone 12 Pro max and the iPhone top pro max the display has some scratches on it. So it's ridiculous, you know, so I just don't like it. You know.

I don't like the fact that it's doing that. So that's an issue, you know, but you know it is what it is. Anyway. I was just swiping some stuff away. I met somebody anyway, but uh.

Now, as far as using say, you're a Google person right, say you're heavily vested in the Google ecosystem. You can see. I've got something really similar going on. I could be using the pixel launcher on here. The reason I don't is, I love the way the stock launcher operates on the s21 ultra, but you can see.

I got my uh, my snapshot from Google Assistant. I got the Google Assistant app, then I'm running all the Google apps all right. These are the Google apps. They basically need. Samsung calendar is pretty cool when it syncs with your Google account blah blah blah all that stuff, but there's just something about being able to go from Gmail to your Google calendar from your good to your Google Assistant and all it all.

Just works together, really really really nice. It works together, really well all right. It works together really! Well, you can see that I'm using the at a glance widget on my s21 ultra. So a lot of people would say that I'm almost trying to use this phone as a pixel, and you know yeah. You could say that you know, because I guess you could say you know I'm trying to get the best of both worlds here now.

I wish this pixel had more and the camera look. Camera features are all right. It's not a big deal, not a big. It's all good, all right same thing with the video you got this you got that you come over here, you tap down. You have all this, it's good to go.

You got the 60 frames per second, which is pretty cool uh. Furthermore, you can record in 4k so on and so forth. Okay, so not that big of a deal you just don't have that wide-angle lens and there's a lot of times when you know. I need the wide angle. You know for the different things I'm doing you know moving like I said, I'm at the baseball tournaments.

I'm doing this. I'm doing that. Furthermore, I need to get those widening this different angle. Shots: okay, having wide angle, really makes a difference, but you know I mean say you're in the market for a phone, and you don't feel like you know you can find these right here on different places for uh cheaper than you could find the s21 ultra, but at the end of the day, there's still a lot of deals on this s21 ultra. For me, if I had to use a phone like for the next year, if I could only use one phone uh for them for a year which phone would I pick, I'm definitely going with the s21 ultra.

I need the features. Okay, that's just me! That's how I roll all right, but if you're just a straight-up Google person, you know what you'll be you'll, be very pleased, and you'll be very happy with the Pixel 4 XL. This is a phone right here that I still highly recommend all right. So that's going to be it for this video. I appreciate all of you watching, and I'll catch.
