Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 10 in March earlier this year, and it did well in our review. The company has now brought in another model with a more powerful processor and a higher resolution camera, and it's called the Redmi Note 10 s now, given that Xiaomi has put in upgraded hardware in it. Should you shell out the extra bucks? Is it a better choice for you, or should you look at alternatives? I put the Redmi Note 10s to the test to find out hello. Everyone, I'm Aditya you're, watching gadgets360, and this is the full review of the Redmi Note 10s. Let's begin the Redmi Note: 10s has a 6.43 inch AMOLED display with corning gorilla glass 3 for protection. You get a peak brightness of 1100, nits and good viewing angles.
Text and content were legible under sunlight. You can also adjust the color temperature of the display to suit your needs. The frame of the Redmi Note 10s is made out of plastic, it's a relatively slim smartphone measuring 8.29 mm, and it weighs 179 grams. It's comfortable to hold and the camera module on the left of the rear doesn't protrude much. The side mounted fingerprint scanner doubles up as the power button.
It's easy to reach and quick to unlock the smartphone. The Redmi Note 10s has stereo speakers on the top and bottom. An IR emitter commonly seen on Xiaomi smartphones is at the top, along with the secondary microphone. The USB type c port and the 3.5 mm headphone jack are at the bottom. You get ip53 dust and water resistance on the Redmi Note 10s, which isn't very common in this price range you'll, also see a rubber flange around the sim tray to help prevent water from entering the device.
The Redmi Note 10s packs in a MediaTek hello g95 processor, which is more powerful than the Qualcomm snapdragon 678 soc. In the Redmi Note 10. , this new processor is paired with 6gb of ram, and you get to choose between 64gb and 128gb of storage, which you can expand further using a micros card, Xiaomi ships, the Redmi Note 10s with mini 12.5, and it is the first smartphone to do so out of the box. The UI runs on top of android 11 and my unit had the April android security patch. This phone comes with a fair number of pre-installed apps, but I could remove most of them, which is a step in the right direction.
I still got promotional notifications from apps such as get apps and themes which was annoying performance is good and the Redmi Note 10s did not show any signs of slowing down during the review period. Multitasking is also quite easy. Call of Duty. Mobile ran fine without any issue. It defaulted to the high priesthood for graphics and ran without any drop in performance.
After playing for 10 minutes. I noticed a three percent drop in the battery level and the top of the phone was slightly warm to the touch. The Redmi Note: 10s sports, a 64 megapixel primary camera, an 8 megapixel, ultra-wide angle, camera, a 2, megapixel macro camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor for selfies. It has a 13 megapixel shooter daylight photos were average and looked over sharpened nearby objects looked crisp, but distant objects appeared blotchy photos hot at the full 64 megapixel resolution had relatively low detail with the ultra-wide angle. Camera detail was also not as good, and there was noticeable distortion at the sides.
Close-Up shots turned out better and with the AI enabled the phone could detect scenes quickly. Portrait shots had good edge detection, and I could set the level of background blur before taking a shot macro. Shots were decent but limited to 2 megapixels in resolution, low light, shots appeared flat and objects at a distance were grainy the phone managed to keep noise under control, but shots weren't. The best I've seen at this price point with night mode enabled photos were marginally brighter and shorts had slightly better details. The ultra-wide angle camera fails to capture decent shots at night, selfies were decent, and the smartphone could detect faces even with masks on for portraits low light.
Selfies were also good. Beautification is enabled by default, which softens the image video recording tops out at 4k 30 fps for the primary camera footage shot at 1080p, while walking around seemed stabilized and only had occasional shimmer, whereas 4k footage wasn't stabilized low light. Video shot at 1080p was strictly average and had a shimmer effect in the output. Meanwhile, 4k footage wasn't stabilized the 5000mah battery. In the Redmi Note, 10s is capable of lasting for over a day very easily on a single charge in our HD video loop test, the phone managed to run for 17 hours and 26 minutes, which is a good score.
Xiaomi bundles, a 33 watt charger in the box, which took the smartphone from 0 to 40 in 30 minutes and to 67. In an hour the Redmi Note 10 still offers significant value for money and Xiaomi launching a very similar model just two months after it is a little confusing. Yes, with the Redmi Note 10 s, you do get a more powerful processor and a higher resolution primary camera, but that 2000 rupees extra. It is a little hard to recommend the note 10 s over the Redmi Note 10. Now, if you are looking for alternatives, however, the Realme 7 and the Poco m3 are worth considering for roughly the same price, so that was my review of the Redmi Note 10 s now.
