All right so today's the day that you all have been waiting for aces finally unveiled their new ROG phone 5 series, and they launched three new devices: the kg phone 5, the phone 5 pro and the phone 5 ultimate. Now, when there are multiple devices in the series, there's always confusions, on which one is the best device which one should you buy and also there's a lot of price differences between these three phones, so you're like which one is worth my money and which one should I go for so in today's video, I'm going to compare all the three devices for you, so the kg phone five versus the phone, five pro versus the phone five ultimate editions, so everything should be clear. This should be your one-stop shop for everything you need to know about the ROG phone five series. So with that being said, let's get started all right before we start the comparison guys if you're interested in technology related content like this go ahead and subscribe to the channel, as well as hit the notification bell and with that being said, let's get to the comparison now, starting off with the base model, the kg phone five. Let's talk about everything that this phone has, and then I'll tell you the differences between the phone, five pro and the phone five ultimate. So the kg phone five comes with a six point: seven eight inch display that is going to be 144 hertz.
It's super AMOLED as well as you've got a 300 hertz, you know touch response rate which is incomparable. There is nothing in the market right now that can compare to the ROG phone 5's display at least, and it's a really fast display, a perfect quality one, and it's big 6.78 inches is a really nice size. In my opinion, for gaming now it has hdr10, plus and also the always on feature now talking about the specifications that are powering that display you've got the snapdragon triple eight, which is going to be slightly overclocked, for you know better performance, and you also have the vapor chamber, cooling technology with the arena 660 doing the GPU duties, and there is a bunch of ram variants, at least for the ROG phone 5 the base variant. You can get it in either 8 gigabytes of ram or 12 gigabytes of ram and talking about storage, you've got 128 or 256 gigabytes. Talking about the battery capacity.
Asus has divided their battery into two parts. So again, there's a dual. You know: battery technology inside this phone, and you've got a 6000, my total, and so each battery will be 3000 my, and you can charge it really quickly as well, because the kg phone 5 supports 65 watt. You know fast charging with the wire charger, and again you are getting a 30 watt, wire charger included in the box, which is really nice. In my opinion, you also get the case included in the box and there's an USB type-c port, as well as a headphone jack on this phone.
Yes, ASUS isn't taking it out, at least on the phone five, so gamers you can use your wired headphones without any issue here, and also you've got the know, fan favorite air triggers on this phone. So that's there and talking about cameras towards the front. You have a 24 megapixel sensor which is capable of 8k video recording and towards the back. You have a 64, megapixel Sony, mix 686 sensors. Now that's going to be f, 1.8 aperture, a 13 megapixel ultra-wide camera and a macro sensor also towards the back of the phone, is gonna, be the anime matrix technology uh, something very similar to what they did on their ASUS Zephyrus laptop. This dotted, you know thingy that they did so yeah that'll light up, and you can customize all of that and talking about software you're going to get android 11 out of the box and, yes, there is a skin on top, but you can make it pretty minimal.
According to your usage, now there's a lot of software features inside the ASUS 415, and I know I'll link up Mr who's, the boss's video down below he went over it in perfect detail, but pretty much that's the ROG phone file so display design and build quality. Again. It's a metal and glass sandwich and yeah you've got everything that you expected from the kg phone five. Now talking about the differences between the ROG phone, five pro the phone five and the phone five ultimate, it's not a lot! So talking about the kg phone five pro, there is only one major difference and that is going to be in the ram and storage department, so you're getting 16 gigabytes of lpddr5 ram on the kg phone 5 pro with 512 gigabytes of storage and the phone 5 pro also adds that monochrome, you know small display towards the back for some animations, which again you can customize and again all ROG phones will have UFS, 3.1 storage. So that's nice and yeah.
The difference is only in the ram and storage. Now talking about the ROG phone 5 ultimate editions, you're going to get an extra box. So, yes, the ultimate edition does come with 18 gigabytes of ram again lpddr5 with 512 gigabytes of storage. The aerosol cooler 5 is also included in the box, and there is an extra box that you get with the phone 5 ultimate, which has a ROG towel. Of course, we needed a ROG towel in our lives right, and you also have you know a snap back hat some stickers, also some cards and badges.
So that's that and that's pretty much it so. The pricing, according to you know at least the euro pricing. So it's going to be 7.99 for the base model of the kg 405, with 8 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage, and it's going to be 8.99 for 12 gigabytes of ram and 256 gigabytes of storage 11.99 for the ROG phone 5 pro. So that's going to be with 16 gigabytes of ram and 512 gigabytes of storage and the kg phone 5 ultimate will retail for 1299 euros with 18 gigabytes of ram and 512 gigabytes of storage. Now, in my opinion, for most gamers the base model, the ROG phone 5 with 8 or even 12 gigabytes of ram, should be enough.
None of the mobile games are so demanding that they need 18 or 16 gigabytes of ram and that's pretty much it also. The kg phone 5 ultimate has one another neat feature: that's going to be the matte white color. If you want the phone in the matte white color, you have to buy the rg45 ultimate, the phone 5 pro and the phone 5 will not get you that white color. So again, if you're into the white color, you should get the ultimate if you're into the extra ram, the accessories, if you're a kg fanboy. Just like me, you, I think you get it.
If you're, you know that kind of fanboy. If you're into the dog, you know ecosystem, you should definitely get the ultimate edition. You will get a lot of collectibles, but again the phones itself are pretty much the same in terms of the fundamentals. It's only the ram and the storage and that mini display towards the back. That's changing the cameras, the display, the performance, everything stays the same with all the three phones.
So again, if you're looking for the best value for money price to performance, go with the base model of the kg phone, five, eight gigabytes of ram 128, gigabytes, storage, no problem: you can play your pub g free fire cod mobile, whatever games that you want to play on your phone now, let's say you want extra performance, you can go with the 12 gigabytes of ram 256 gigabytes of storage, but that's the max. I recommend the phone 5 pro and the phone 5 ultimate have a little of design. You know features as well as the extra ram, but I don't think you need 16 or 18 gigabytes of ram for just gaming, but let's say you do, and you have the extra money to spend it. Those phones are also worth it. But again the best value for money is going to be on the base variant and that's pretty much it for this video guys.
