Redmi Note 8 Pro Quick Review - Still worth it in 2020 By Chrisispoint

This is Chris from Christmas point and welcome back to the channel, and this is gonna, be my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 pro revisited video okay, so the Redmi Note 8 pro is one of the most sought out smartphones in 2019, mainly because of two things: the camera and the price. Now it does come with one of the most highly anticipated chip sets, which is the military Hilo g90t, which was advertised, can handle gaming well for mid-range devices. Well, that's what they said so in this review. It's going to be short and sweet, as I wanted to personally have my own. Take on this highly popular smartphone in 2019.

, the Redmi Note 8 pro comes with a quad camera setup, giving you the flexibility to take good imagery at any given situation. The primary lens is a 64 megapixel, wide lens, followed by an 8 megapixel ultrawide, along with a 2 megapixel depth sensor and a 2 megapixel macro lens. Now this quad camera setup is capable of shooting 4k at 30 frames per second 1080p at 30, 60 and 120 frames per second and 720p at 960 frames per second, which comes with electronic stabilization and right beneath. That is the fingerprint scanner, which is quite accurate for the price at the top sander houses. A 20 megapixel wide lens, with support for 1080p at 30 frames per second, in a form of a notch, embedded in a 6.53 inch. IPS ltd display with a tiny notification light which is pretty rare nowadays up top is where you would see the secondary microphone and the iconic IR blaster towards the right is the power button and volume rockers which are click, but not as tactile as I prefer, with smartphones and down below, is where you'll find primary microphone, USB type c port for charging and data transfer, the bottom firing speaker and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, which is always appreciated. The Redmi Note 8 pro comes with android 9 out of the box, but this was recently updated to android 10, with mini 12 in 2020, which is great as you get to experience all the bells and whistles of what the UI has to offer in terms of performance and optimization.

Alright. So, since this video isn't exactly a review video, this is more of having to address some concerns. I got on social media in reference to the ruby note, 98 pro running on mini 12. The first question comes from Alan, which is: does the battery drain? The Redmi Note 8 pro on mini 12. This is sort of a complicated question, mainly because every device performs differently, depending on the user, some prefer to mess with a certain setting, while others prefer to personalize the device or heart's content, and some don't so.

It really depends on how you use it, but in my case it lasts about four to five hours screen on time and about 10 to 15 hours on standby, where the screen turned off. So, during my testing, I personally have not encountered such issues with the Redmi Note 8 pro, but to remedy this here's, a quick tip which I think is often forgotten by many, but I'm throwing it in any way. So here we go, go to settings and hit about phone and then look for the mini version on your device and simply tap this multiple times. Until you see the pop-up that says you are now a developer once that's done simply go back to the main window for the settings app scroll down a bit until you see the additional settings under additional settings simply scroll down a bit until you see developer options, alright, so in this particular window, simply scroll all the way down.

Until you see three particular items that we're looking for the window, animation scale, the transition, animation scale and the animator duration scale. So these three particular options is basically in charge of all the animations that you're, seeing with the UI from opening apps to closing, to going back to app drawer to launching to minimizing its all this. So all you have to do is to change the animation scale from 1 to 0.5. That should make everything a lot smoother, faster and more efficient when you're using your smartphone and that's about it.
