Redmi Note 10 5G REVIEW

Xiaomi are back with yet more new devices. The Redmi Note 10s is behind me, but this is what I'm going to be talking to you about in this video. The Redmi Note 10 5g, yes 5g in a Redmi device, but it comes with some compromises. Let me tell you what I'm talking about here on econ reviews now before I talk about the device really quickly, as you would expect, Redmi have thrown in quite a lot in the box to begin with. There's a paperwork there's also a free plastic silicon see-through case, which is just incredible at this price point. You get an USB c charger with an 18 watt, fast charger as well.

Now, as far as design is concerned, the Redmi Note 10 5g looks pretty much like the Redmi Note 10 series in general. I mean you've got this curved back panel over here. This particular color is the chrome, silver no. Really, really nice. You've got this silver blue, all rolled up into one.

It looks premium, and it feels incredibly light in the hand down there at the bottom. You've got the microphone next to the USB c port and the speakers then, on the right hand, side you've got the power button that also doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. Next to the volume rocker the left-hand side over here is where the dual sim tray is, and this will support 5g and then, at the top. We've got the IR blaster next to check that three and a half millimeter headphone jack, all right something I have to mention those speakers. There are mono speakers down there at the bottom.

So if you're going to be using this to watch, YouTube, videos or playing games just be aware of the muffling that can take place now on the front, you will see that 6.5 inch display it isn't an AMOLED or OLED display it's in fact an IPS lcd, but it's a reasonable display, and you can see from various viewing angles it does a decent job. What I would have liked to see, however, is brighter uh capability for that display, but again it's decent. There is a setting within mini 12 that will allow you to have a brighter display for outdoor viewing, but, generally speaking, it is a nice display. Now, one of the other things that it will support on that display is 90 hertz refresh. So this is something that you can enable within the settings to get that feature.

This display is actually perfect in terms of multimedia in terms of gameplay. All of those things that you would come to expect it's pretty decent on this display and, as many of you know already, I'm a big fan of those flat displays. So there's none of that curved display stuff going on here. So as far as performance is concerned, this is powered internally by the MediaTek diamond sd700 and that's paired up with 4gb of ram. You get a choice of 120 gigabytes of storage, which is what I have here, or slightly lower at 64 GB in terms of day-to-day.

Like multitasking, you know the stuff that you would expect to do on imagery and smartphone. It does that really well gaming, and I've experimented with things like PUBG mobile Call of Duty asphalt, 9 a few other games playing around with that. It does reasonably well here. This really isn't a gaming focused smartphone, but if you're going to do basic to mid-range gaming, you should be perfectly fine on this. I was getting for about 20 to 40 minutes extended gaming time reasonable results in terms of heating.

There's no major heating issues here it does get warm on the back, but nothing that sort of disrupts from that gaming experience. Now. As far as 5g is concerned, this has the 5g capabilities. This is really what the Redmi Note 10 5g is all about.5G for me has been patchy because it's patchy here on the island that I live on more often than none. I was getting 4g LTE uh generally, but when I did connect through to 5g, I was getting the 5g expected speeds, so decent speeds when it comes to 5g connectivity again, this is less to do with the device itself and more to do with 5gs availability, depending on where you are so.

As far as software is concerned, the Redmi Note 10 5g is powered by android 11, and it has mini 12. I've spoken about mini 12 a lot recently, because I've been covering a lot of devices from Xiaomi. It's a bit of a hit-and-miss with this. I certainly think that compared to previous generations of this skin, essentially from Xiaomi, it has improved it's much more cleaner. It's a bit more refined.

There is still some of that bloatware and some of those settings that won't appeal to everybody, but in terms of customization you certainly do get tons of customization with me, UI 12. So when it comes to battery life, this has a whopping 5 000 William hour battery inside which is pretty decent, and I think for most people in terms of day-to-day use. This is going to be more than enough for what they require in terms of charging. This has a fast charger. It's an 18 watt, fast charger, it's not as fast as um, some of the other devices that come with the 33 watt chargers, but for most people I think it will do a reasonable job.

I mean I was getting with the testing that I've done over a day's worth of use with that 5 000 William hour battery in terms of social media, and you know using this for gaming and also some multimedia as well so on. The back here is a camera bump, and I think this is where most of the compromises have been made on this device, because you do get a 48 megapixel main sensor, paired up with a 2 megapixel for the depth and 2 megapixels for the macro. Now, generally speaking, that main sensor does a reasonable job. In normal lighting there is some pixel binning going on, but generally speaking, you are going to get good shots. Most people will be happy with those shots in terms of color accuracy vibrancy.

There is some slight over saturation of color, but, generally speaking, it does a good job now in terms of the depth sensor. That is there for the portrait shots and those are reasonable. The macro lens is that two megapixel- and it's just I honestly- I'm not a big fan of the macro on this device. It just doesn't do a good job in terms of detail and picking up the attention that you would assume would be taken from those macro shots. There is no ultra-wide lens here, and I would have preferred to see that over the macro, so something to be aware of now in terms of low light conditions, the 48 megapixel does a pretty decent job in low light conditions.

As you can see here, there is a night mode and I would certainly recommend that, because the differences between the night mode turned on and off are certainly very apparent, there is some slight over saturation of the colors, but, generally speaking, most people will be happy. I think at this price range for the camera capability. As far as video is concerned, this will record 1080p 30 frames per second. There is no 60 frames per second, nor is there 4k with the Redmi Note 10 5g on the front, you have an 8 megapixel, selfie shooter. It does a reasonable job with those selfie shots that there is the Redmi Note.10 5g certainly is available with this device, but it does come with those compromises and I think for me, one of the biggest compromises is in that camera. But if you're talking about most affordable, 5g smartphone, then this might be it.

Let me know your thoughts in the comment section down below plus for the pricing information availability. You'll find all that in the link in the description. That's it from me for now, if you've enjoyed this video be sure to check out this next one over here I'll see you there. Peace and blessings.
