Redmi Note 10 5G review

Hey, what's up guys will here for GSM arena Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10 is well known as one of the more feature packed budget phones- you can get these days, but what is it missing? 5G support. So, if you're looking to scratch that itch, this is the Redmi Note, 10 5g, the connectivity does come with some trade-offs, though so, let's see what this phone is all about in our full review. As far as features go, the Redmi Note, 10 5g, is a very different beast from the regular Redmi Note 10. The similar name makes things confusing, though, and looks wise it's quite similar too. It's also identical to another Xiaomi phone, the Poco m3 pro 5g, the note 10 5gs build is pretty standard for a budget smartphone with a curved plastic back and plastic frame. The finish is matte, but at the same time reflects light in an interesting radian pattern.

Overall, it's a bit heavier than the non-5g model, but it's still easily manageable. Splash proofing is something that you won't find on this phone, while the 4g version is ip53 rated, and you don't get an amyloid screen on this model either. Instead, it's a 6.5 inch, IPS LCD with a 1080p resolution, gorilla glass, 3 protection and a fast 90hz, refresh rate which helps smooth out movements on screen. This is actually a bit of an upgrade over the 4g model, which has just a standard 60hz refresh rate. Overall.

This is quite a decent screen. It's plenty sharp and while there isn't as much contrast as an AMOLED, it's great for an LCD brightness is good. We measured around 380 nits with the slider, and it boosts up to 500 nits in auto mode when in bright conditions, and you can achieve good color accuracy through the color settings. You don't get hdr10 support here, though, for audio you get a single bottom firing speaker instead of stereo speakers, like the regular Redmi Note 10. , the Redmi Note, 10 5g was able to score a good mark on our loudness charts and audio quality is actually pretty good for a budget phone mid-tones and highs are well presented, though.

Predictably, there isn't much for bass here. You also have a 3.5 millimeter jack for headphones up at the top and there's even FM radio support. Waking up and unlocking the phone can be done with a side mounted fingerprint reader, which doubles as the power button it's blazing fast, and you can opt for 64 or 128 gigs of storage on board, which is expandable through micros. The Redmi Note 10 5gs interface is Xiaomi's mini 12, which is pretty ubiquitous across the numerous Xiaomi devices that have come out since its debut last year with mini 12. You have the option to keep apps within an app drawer, and they're automatically organized into categories for you.

You can also opt to split the traditional notification shade into a separate notification center and a control center, which you access from the top right corner and since there's an IR blaster, you can use the Redmi Note 10 5g as a remote to control certain appliances with at the heart of the device, and what gives the Redmi Note? 10 5g. Its name is MediaTek's most budget-friendly 5g chipset, the density 700. It's the same chip that you'd find in the realm 8 5g. Unfortunately, we weren't able to run any benchmark tests here because of restrictions within the OS, but based on our experience with the phone, we can say that performance is solid and acceptable for the class. The UI runs without a hiccup and games can run decently.

Well, if you turn down the graphic settings, the Redmi Note, 10 5g has a large 5 000 million power battery the same size as the non 5g version and battery life is quite solid. The phone earned an endurance rating of 121 hours in our proprietary tests. You get a 22.5 watt charger in the box, but the device only supports up to 18 watts. This is a different story from the non 5g model which comes with a 33 watt charger, and, unlike what you see on that phone, I wouldn't call this charging fast. We were able to go from zero to just 33 percent.

In half an hour now onto the Redmi Note, 10 pro 5gs cameras, there's a 48 megapixel quad, Bayer main cam, a 2 megapixel macro cam, and a depth sensor here, you're missing the ultra-wide cam, which you would get on the non 5g version during the day. The 12 megapixel photos from the main camera are excellent for the class. They are sharp with plenty of resolved, detail true to life, colors, low noise and commendable dynamic range. The rendition of foliage isn't perfect, though, and the sharpening could be a bit more balanced. Portraits are taken with the help of the depth sensor, they're detailed with proficient subject: separation and accurate colors, the 2 megapixel macro camera doesn't have autofocus, so getting a sharp result can take.

A few tries once you do. The quality is good with punchy, colors and enough detail for this resolution in low light. Photos from the main cam are pretty good. There's enough detail, although it is a bit smeared by the noise reduction. There's nice color saturation too, but you do end up with blown highlights here and there turning on night mode will result in a brighter photo.

But the trade-off is some softness and reduction in fine detail. You can take selfies with the 8 megapixel front-facing cam, and these are outstanding for this price range. There's plenty of detail: punchy, colors and low noise. Unlike the Redmi Note, 10, the 5g version can't shoot video in 4k resolution.1080P video supports stabilization and the quality is quite good. You get a decent level of detail, wide dynamic range and great contrast and colors.

So that's the Redmi Note 10 5g, you get 5g connectivity at a pretty low price and on top of that, there's a nice high, refresh rate LCD, good battery life, nice speaker quality and a dependable camera both in the daytime and at night. However, we can't help but compare it to its 4g sibling and feature wise. It's night and day you miss out on a lot of things here, like an AMOLED screen, stereo speakers and fast charging, the water resistance got chopped as well as the ultra-wide cam, and on top of that, the 5g model is more expensive. Overall, the Redmi Note 10 5g is a decent phone. If you're looking for 5g on a budget, but if that's not a priority for you, the 4g model has a lot more to offer.

Thanks for watching guys, stay safe and see you on the next one, you.
