Hi guys it's Frankie from Frankie tech good to see you guys again, and I'm here to share my comparison between the Redmi k40 pro and the Redmi Note 10 pro now of all the questions I've been getting in the last week. This is the one I've been getting the most Frankie tech, I'm trying to decide between the Redmi k40 series and the Redmi Note 10 pro, which has made some incredible waves, offering amazing value for the price in the mid-range segment. Should I consider picking up a Redmi, k40 or k40 pro? Should I pick up the Redmi Note 10 pro or is there something else coming that I should wait for instead, so in this initial comparison between these two phones, I hope to answer that question for you guys and of course, stay tuned for the full camera comparison between these phones, and we'll be doing some pub g in part? Two of this video as well, which of these two incredible devices. Should you pick up? Let's have a look, but starting with pricing, the Redmi k40 series definitely made some waves in China when it was announced for the k40 for around 1999 RMB and this k40 pro for around 2999 RMB, which would have been an incredible price point. If the Redmi Note 10 pro in my opinion, had stolen its thunder because, let's face it guys, this is the price that many of you will remember. Seeing this Redmi Note 10 pro debuts with a 120 hertz AMOLED display for 279 us dollars, there's not a device like the k40 series that we need to wait a bunch of months for the global variant to come out with this is the global variant and the Redmi Note 10 pro just blew me away with how many specs you're getting for this phone and apparently this phone was available via AliExpress for 249 bucks.
That is a tremendous deal and any device like the Redmi k40 series, while an incredible value will still cost more due to the third-party imports. But when it comes to design you're, looking at 7.8, millimeters versus 8.1 196 grams versus 193. Guys, these are practically the same device in terms of their footprint there. You see it, but what is different about the build of these devices they're using this kind of matte plastic finish on the edges, but there are glossy edges here on the Redmi Note 10 pro. Meanwhile, the k40 pro is using this kind of glossy and matte plastic build, which is one of the most premium, builds in plastic that I've seen on a phone now one big thing: you'll like about the Redmi Note 10 pro we do have a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. You don't have this here on the k40 series, but if you look at the button placements with the arc fingerprint scanner and the USB and the speaker grilles here, these are very similar devices.
Now, on the backs, you see the camera modules and I have gone into detail about this in my previous video, but I will just say that I prefer the camera module on the k40 pro and, of course, there's no denying that between these two backs. Yes, the onyx crate does look beautiful, but this serrated knife back of the Redmi k40 pro truly is something special, and I absolutely love it and the similarities carry forward on the displays.6.67 inch, 120, hertz, AMOLED display and a lot of people have asked me Frankie tech. Are these the same display on these phones? I've mentioned it before. In my opinion, they definitely are from the white point to the viewing angles. There you see them.
These are so similar guys and even the punch hole is of an identical size on both the Redmi k40 and the Redmi Note 10 pro and the chins are exactly the same size as well. Now some of you have asked me is the little silver ring around the punch hole, an eyesore personally, it doesn't bother me that much, but it does make it a little more visible than I would like now. I think they did that because they wanted for people to still be able to see where the camera is and when it shimmers in the light, while you're taking a photo. I think it actually helps to have that silver ring around the punch hole but guys I'll. Take the silver ring around the punch hole to have this beautiful, almost uninterrupted display on both of these phones, and you can't go wrong with either of these displays.
That is the beauty of the Redmi Note 10 pro, because you're not losing on any of the quality of this display for the price and watching content playing games. Doing whatever on these displays is going to be the same experience, which means it's going to be excellent, because you have a flat panel display, tiny chins and an almost disappearing punch hole. You'll have a great time watching content on both the Redmi k40 series or the Redmi Note, 10 pro and in DRM info. It's l1 security level for wide vine CDM on both the Redmi k40 pro and the Redmi Note 10 pro HD Netflix compatible on both the china and the global variant. Here, it's a l1 party on Frankie tech and now talking about performance.
This is the key area. I think the biggest gap between the k40 series and the Redmi Note 10 pro, and I think, is why a lot of you guys are worried about picking up this Redmi Note 10 pro look. The 732g, I know is a mid-range chipset, you've seen it on the polo, x3 NFC, and yet there's no denying with no 5g capability and being an older, chipset. You're, not gonna, get that flagship level performance like you're, getting from the Redmi k40 with the 870 or the k40 pro with the triple eight, but once again guys in my testing, this has been a terrific performer and yes, I can't go to Genshin Impact and play at max settings on this phone. You're going to have to lower the settings a little, but you can still have a great gaming experience on this Redmi Note 10 pro and I truly believe for the majority of you out there.
Furthermore, you could completely live an entire year on this device, and you would not notice the difference, but for that small percentage of you out there who want the latest and greatest, and you get a bit nervous. I know the feeling guys when you don't have a flagship chipset in your phone. You start thinking. Oh my god. This is not powerful enough.
I need the most powerful phone. Well guess what then go pick up? The Redmi k40 pro with the snapdragon triple eight you'll have all the power you need in this device. But of course, you've seen my an tutu throttling test, and you know that the triple eight does overheat quite a bit. I think the k40 pro does a better job than the Xiaomi mi 11s, but that is why I think the snapdragon 870 and the Redmi k40 will likely be the best option if you want flagship performance, but you don't want overheating to consider, but when it comes to battery life, this is where the Redmi Note, 10 pro, does have the edge with a 5020 William battery versus 4520. Yes, the Redmi k40 pro does charge up faster, but it won't last as long as the Redmi Note 10 pro, and that was very evident in my an tutu throttling test when this phone dropped over 20 and when it comes to comms guys, you're going to have all the latest comms on these devices, but, of course the Redmi k40 series is 5g, capable so there's that to consider and get the fingerprint scanner experience on.
This is pretty much identical. It's superfast on both phones, and you will not notice any difference between these two in that regard and what about the vibration motors? Yes, there is a difference between the haptic feedback. On this Redmi Note, 10 pro versus this Redmi k40 pro the haptic feedback on this device is definitely a step above its closer to what I feel on the Xiaomi mi 11s, while the Redmi Note 10 pros, while not bad, is just not to that level. It's more of what I experience on your typical Redmi phones, which means you have a solid but not amazing, haptic feedback. Experience like you get on the flagship, Xiaomi devices.
But what about the speakers? Is there any difference between these devices? Both have dual speakers with dedicated speaker, grilles top and bottom, which is a great thing to see, and yet I do give the Redmi Note 10 pro a slight edge because it does have a 3.5, millimeter, headphone jack, but in terms of audio quality. Is there any difference between these phones? Let's have a listen, so I don't know about you guys, but I don't notice much of a difference between the speaker capabilities of both of these phones, which means that's a major victory here for the Redmi Note 10 pro considering how much of a lower cost device it is. They have not skimped on the dual speakers of this phone and given that it's almost the same dual speaker experience, which means an excellent speaker experience. You have to give the win here to the Redmi Note 10 pro, and so that's it for part. One of this comparison.
Another question, of course, that you guys have been asking Frankie tech. Should I go for the k40 series, or should I pick up the Redmi Note 10 pro now? If you consider yourself a power user, someone who wants the latest and greatest then the k40 pro is going to be more up your alley than the Redmi Note 10 pro, and yet I would say for 95 of you out there. This device is the one to pick. In fact, I'm going to go out and say that this is the first Redmi Note series phone that I could actually use for the entire year as my daily device because of the display quality, the incredible speakers and the 108 megapixel camera on this device, which we'll be testing in part. Two of this comparison, you are getting so much bang for the buck.
With this Redmi Note 10 pro and I easily could use it as my main device. Now, of course, there's another phone here that I haven't reviewed, which is the Redmi k40, and to all you guys, asking Frankie tech, please review the k40. Please do it, I'm not reviewing it guys, because, let me just say this very soon. You will see why, and that is the final part of this question. Is there another device releasing soon? That will be an even better option than this Redmi k40 series, which, let's face it is the china variant which means you're gonna, be dealing with all this Chinese bloat on the phone and limited language support and who knows, what's going to happen with this device once we hit mini 12.5, if it's even going to support google apps moving forward, but then you have the Redmi Note 10 pro, which is the global device, and it has all those capabilities, and yet it doesn't have 5g capabilities and to all you latest and greatest and spec obsessed, dudes out there. This is not going to cut it.
So maybe there's a device. That's coming soon. That's going to fulfill everything you need in a smartphone and all I will say, is stay tuned guys stay tuned, but hit me up in the comments: Redmi k40 series or Redmi Note 10 pro, which of these phones. Would you pick or are you waiting for something else? That's going to be the perfect device for you hit me up in the comments. I'd love to hear about it and that's it for this video.

For that, so that's it, and this is where I leave you by saying this is Frankie tech signing off have a good one, k40 Redmi Note 10 pro it doesn't matter which you pick you're getting some of the best value devices of 2021. You.
