Redmi K40 GAME ENHANCED KING OF KUNG FU! BRUCE LEE EDITION! KICKING the COMPETITION! By E-Got Tech

Hey guys welcome back to another video. This is Eric from me get sec. I haven't done an unboxing in a while, so pretty excited about this one. It actually took longer than expected to get this phone. But it's finally here, here on my table, is the k40 game, enhanced Bruce Lee edition. So what are we waiting for guys? Let's get this box open.

I don't know if you can tell guys, but this phone is pretty big. So if you compare it with this Poco f3 that I've got and put it next to it. So if you compare it with the box of the Poco f3, this thing is huge and compared to the black shark 4 pro. This box is still a lot bigger. So let's see what's inside the box, now guys, so I've got my trusty pocket knife here, remove all that plastic all right.

So in the box, you've got Redmi k40 and Bruce Lee king of kung fu special edition. Okay, so let's see you've got an arrow here and, of course, you've got small logo right there at the bottom. So let's try to open it up guys. So it says here guys Bruce Lee king kung fu special edition. Let's see if I can get this box out yep there you go seems pretty light guys and get a picture of Bruce Lee over here.

Saying always be yourself express yourself and have faith in yourself, so you've got the sim ejector tool right there, something else in there. Okay, I like this one guys- and this is a bumper case, so it's color- yellow to match with the Bruce Lee edition. Let's put the case right there, so you've got the phone first, look very black and yellow I'll set that aside and see what else is in the box. All right, I didn't open it properly guys. I think this is the way it's supposed to go.

Let me do that again guys. So you open it up like so and then push it right all the way and the phone pops up that's the way the unboxing is supposed to go guys. So, if you can see from the side it raises the box, so your phone gets presented to you all right and at the bottom. If you want to get your charging cable and your charger actually put it down, so it's kind of a magnet guys, let's pull out the bottom part. Okay.

Ah, there you go okay, so there you've got again a very yellow, 67 watt, fast charger, and you've got a very yellow USB, a two USB c cable, and this is at a 90-degree angle. So yeah. I am a fan of this. Actually, the red magic series of phones had this on the red magic 5g, but I don't know why the red magic, 6 pro went back to the normal USB c type. So with this type of cable, it actually lets you game better, because it's not going to be obstructing your hands when you're holding the phone in landscape mode guys.

So there are no earphones included in the box. Let me see if there's a headphone jack here guys so nothing at the bottom, nothing at the top guys. So no headphone jack kind of disappointed because it didn't have a headphone jack, but I have switched to wireless earphones. So I think, for those who are using wireless earphones, you'd be fine, but for those who are still looking for a wired piece of headset, then you're not gonna, get it on this phone. Let's remove this plastic okay kind of surprised, guys, it's more of a matte feel doesn't seem to be a fingerprint magnet so which is a good sign.

I'm a fan of this kind of uh back design and on the sides. You've got kind of a rubber field. Hopefully that will translate well when you're playing games in landscape mode and, of course, you've got the camera cut out here. So the bump isn't too big. It's not going to wobble much when it's on the table.

So let's see how this bumper case actually looks on the phone okay. So it's supposed to go over the mechanical shoulder buttons, it's a pretty innovative design guys. So, let's see how it goes. So it's definitely black and yellow guys and more black and yellow at the back. So if you're a fan of the Bruce Lee colors, then this phone is for you, but if not, this phone also comes in black gray and silver.

So let's turn on the phone now guys: okay, pretty cool, Bruce Lee animation over there, and this is running mini 12.5 out of the box. So you've only got a couple of language options. Of course, I'll be choosing English okay, so the phone uses a side mounted fingerprint scanner. So let's add my fingerprint right now, so the wallpaper does say I am a gaming phone guys. So I do like the black wallpaper here.

So, let's test out the fingerprint scanner guys not too bad guys. The spot is pretty good, I'm able to get in right away, but I think the animation is a bit slow. The k40 game. Enhanced edition was released on April 30 and is currently a channel. Only model word on the street is that this phone is going to make its way to India and will be rebranded as the Pogo f3 gt.

So I'll keep my eyes on that one, and I'll. Let you know once there is a release date. The k4d game, enhanced edition, has a 6.67 inch OLED display and has an impressive 120hz refresh rate at full, HD plus resolution, and this display has a max brightness of 500 nits. So if I go into settings and of course, you've got anti-flicker mode I'll put that on reading mode. So this is basically your blue light filter and your refresh rate, of course, I'll go up to high 120 hertz scrolling is a lot smoother once you enable 120 hertz and the good thing here that this display is HDR.10 plus 35. Redmi has used corning gorilla glass 5 to protect the front display as well as the back, so the back is actually made of glass, so that actually leads it to have a more premium feel because you've got them glass front and a glass back in terms of variants for the phone.

There are a lot, so it comes in 6, 8 and 12 gigs of lpddr5 ram, and you've got UFS, 3.1 storage of either 128 or 256 gigs. This special Bruce Lee edition that I've got here comes with 12 gigs of lpddr5 ram and 256 gigs of UFS 3.1 storage, k40 game. Enhanced edition is powered by a MediaTek density 1200 5g, capable chip, and it's built on the six nanometer fabrication process. So in terms of efficiency, it should be more efficient than the snapdragon 870, which is built on the seven nanometer process. So I'm definitely interested in doing my usual gaming and benchmark test to see how well this phone performs under sustained loads, and this phone has a triple camera system.

At the back, with a primary 64 megapixels wide, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide and a 2 megapixel macro where's, the love for the telephoto lens guys. I've been saying for quite some time that I am a fan of the telephoto lens, and I've never really had much of a use case for the macro lens. So I'd like to hear on the comment section down below which ones you prefer, would you rather have a macro lens, or would you rather have a dedicated telephoto lens, and this phone actually has a bunch of guys so similar to the black shark 4 pro the Redmi k40 has a selfie camera in the punch, hole and the selfie shooter is a 16 megapixel lens the battery on this phone is rated at 5065 my, and it supports up to 67 watts of quick charging. Redmi is claiming that it can go zero to 142 minutes, so I'm definitely going to be putting that to the test and see if this 67 watt included charger can charge up this phone from to 100 in the 42 minutes that Redmi claims it can and now for the speaker guys. So let me remove the bumper case, so we'll have a better look.

So there is a stereo speaker set up on the Redmi k40 game. Enhanced edition, so you've got one firing down, and you've got another on the top, and it's said to be tuned by JBL. So, in order to test that out, let me try to install YouTube real quick. If I can,, I'll just run YouTube in the browser, so hang on guys all right same problem, guys it can't get placed or to run, so I'll have to do some research after I've done the unboxing video, so I've loaded it up I'll, put the volume up and let's test it out. Music sounded pretty good for me guys, but let me get the black shark 4 pro real quick.

It keeps me the black shark 4 pro still sounds a lot better than the k40 gaming edition. K40 gaming edition definitely does get a lot louder, but I think the sound is a lot clearer on the black shark 4 pro. So let me know in the comment section down below which phone you think sounds better guys and of course, since the phone is called a gaming edition or a game enhanced edition, it should have some gaming features so similar to the black shark 4 pro the game. Enhanced edition has a combination of graphene, graphite and vapor chamber for cooling, and they actually claim to be using white graphene, which is the same material used on space shuttles. So, let's see if I need to use an external cooler for extended gaming sessions and one other feature that this inherits or that it gets inspiration from is the mechanical shoulder triggers so at the top similar to the black shark 4 pro you've got sliders.

There's your pop-up physical buttons guys, and one of the features that is missing on the Redmi k4d is that on the black shark 4 pro, you can actually configure these shoulder buttons with specific actions. So you can set it to open the flashlight or do a screen recording. There are a bunch of things that you can assign that shoulder button to. That, unfortunately, is missing on the gaming edition or the Redmi k40, so fingers crossed that it might be enabled in a future update in terms of raw performance, the k40 game. Enhanced edition is set up to go against the snapdragon 870, which you can actually find on the Poco f3, which I'm going to be unboxing and reviewing next, so I'm going to be doing a head to head between the k40 game, enhanced edition and the snapdragon 870 Poco f3 and, let's see which one is more bang for the buck or which one is better value for money.
