Redmi K30 Pro vs Mi 10 Pro vs S20 Ultra - CAMERA ZOOM TEST

Comparing, these three zoom camera phones, the galaxy s 20 ultra the meet em pro from Xiaomi and the K 30 pro zoom Edition from red B. These refunds definitely focus on adding extra zoom range over and above the other phones in their respective series. I guess the first thing you do when you know you've got a camera that can zoom a long way is just seen how far it can zoom. So that's what I did the weather is kind of overcast and foggy anyway right now, there's definitely a lot of mist in the air. So if some of these shots you can see are misty, that's not the cameras that is just actually mist in the air. You can also see these zoom range down at the bottom.

In the middle of the screen there straight away, you can see a little of noise in the K 30 Pro zoom, Edition 30 x is the maximum length for that phone, whereas going into 50 is the max for the 10, Pro and 100 x is the max for the s 20 ultra. Just to give you an idea that building is literally a mile away from where I was standing, so it's impressive to get any sort of image from that far away, although it is fun to zoom that far away, that's more of a party trick and not really what you're going to use the phone for, if you have these phones, so here's a test from the normal one times main camera to the zoom cameras on the phones, which is three times for the K 30 pro and five times for the other two. This gives you an idea of just how much closer you can get with close range objects with the other two phones compared to the case 30s three times optical zoom length using the zoom to get a little closer to nearby objects, and not things that are literally a mile away is actually what these zooms are meant for again going through the zoom range here and also looking at the original photo files. It isn't until about five times zoom, where you start noticing huge differences in the quality and the amount of noise. That's involved the K 30 Pro loses it first and into 20 times the other to just hold a little more detail, and it's more noticeable at 30 times, zoom for sure, but I honestly, don't think that any of the phones are doing a bad job considering how far they are away from that object.

So, having looked out a lot of these files, I would say that up to 10 times, zoom you're getting good results from all the phones, but it's noticeable that for sure the meet em probe and the s20 ultra do keep a lot of detail. However, once you get past that I think they're, just all not good enough to use anyway, even though the s20 ultra on average produces slightly crisper images, I think past ten times it all becomes, a question of who is the least bad rather than who is the best when it comes to video I, definitely noticed a huge difference between the Samsung and the other. Two, especially the differences in video are definitely more noticeable. Both the Xiaomi phones do introduce a lot of noise when you're zooming in. If you want to shoot video off the main lens, it will zoom in on that main lens.

The meet em pro cam shoot video of the two x telephoto also, but it is still pretty noisy overall, whereas on the s20 ultra you're, getting pure 4k video of the five times optical zoom lens, and it definitely shows it looks just as good as the main lens. It's crisp its sharp, and you get true optical zoom, but, as we can see here on the meat em pro, you can shoot in photo on the ultra-wide. You can go one two and five times in the native camera app photo on. The temperately has a lot more options, but in video, once you press record, you have to stay on the lens that you're recording on you cannot switch between the lenses. You can't go to the ultra-wide or the main.

Also, I know this looks really below rebut. It actually was raining, so that is rain that you can see and not blur in the image. The K 30 Pro, unsurprisingly, being from the same company, has a very, very similar setup, the ultra-wide, the main and the three times. Zoom is the options on here and again in photo. You can go to 30 times, zoom and again for video.

Once you press record, you are stuck on the lens that you chose. Unlike the 10 Pro, you can only record video of the ultra-wide and the main lens the three times telephoto lens is never used when recording video, the s20 ultras camera app is just so much more functional. You can see all of these options from noir point, 5 all the way into a hundred times zoom, and you can flick through so easily for video. It goes up to 20 times zoom and, of course, you do use that 5 times optical zoom lens to record video as well. You can switch between of them when you're recording video another example of video here and the s20 ultra makes it so easy to zoom.

In and out when you are recording video. Both the Xiaomi phones do have a six times a zoom limit when recording video. That's off the main lens which I found does give the best results even on the meet em. Pro I actually think I'm more impressed with the s20 ultras zoom range for video, rather than photo. It just seems to be way ahead of a lot of other phones, thanks to using that 5 times optical zoom camera with the high megapixel image sensor under there, so that it can record true 4k resolution images from that optical zoom lens.

Let me know your thoughts, though, if that 20 times OOM, even though impressive is good enough quality to actually be able to use that and say that it's useful or whether you just think it's a party trick at that length. Certainly, though, at five times optical zoom on the s20 Altai, it looks almost just as good as the main camera. You have a high megapixel sensor and optical zoom. True 4k resolution. There's no cropping, it just looks perfect, and it's easy to zoom in and out on that phone differences, though, are certainly less clear when it comes to photo, and certainly between two times five times even 10 times zoom on all the cameras differences you do have to look for.

Yes, the s20 ultra has this extra zoom length, but it comes really in an area where it's just blurry, and not really that great anyway, but for sure that s20 ultra is a super powerful camera in both photo and video and in the zoom range that matters in photo up to about 10 times. They can all produce very good images. The s20 ultra just adds that amazing length, and also the video capabilities in zoom, which is just incredible, subscribe for the latest tech news and videos. That's it for now, but I'll see you in the next one.
