Redmi K30 Pro - CAMERA TEST vs S20 Ultra vs iPhone 11 Pro

All right, let's put the Redmi k 30 pro to the test. This is the base model, the cheapest version, the cheapest snapdragon 865 phones in the world. Right now there is a zoom edition, which does add some zoom cameras, obviously that phone isn't out yet in China. So let's just have a look at the red Mackay 30 pro versus these two real flagship phones, both the iPhone 11 Pro and the s 20 ultra- are here just as a guide to show us where the K 30 pro is in terms of its camera. Quality. Zoom is obviously not one of the K 30 pro's strengths, but let's put it up against the two phones anyway.

The s 20 ultra, of course, is its bigger strength, but considering there are no zoom cameras whatsoever on the K, 30, Pro I think it does pretty well, and so I'm. Definitely looking forward to that pro zoom Edition, which would add a three times optical zoom and then going all the way into 13 times, zoom with digital zoom. Here's high megapixel mode on both of the Android phones actually think the red me keeps detail in the background there, thanks to a bit better HDR than the Samsung in this case, and let's crop in on that high megapixel mode to 400%, definitely a difference in the color and the exposure over all the images. The K 30 Pro is featuring. This brand new Sony image sensor called the imx6 86.

The real top-end flagship phones from China that used it last year have this year all moved on to some unique camera sensors custom-made. But let me know how you think it does against these two flagship phones, zoom for video I, do feel like the image falls apart a little. But again, that's not this phones, strength. The zoom Edition would have a better zoom capability overall for both photo and video, but this just gives you guys an idea of what it can do. There is an ultra-wide, though, and in the camera app it goes through to the main camera and 2 X zoom as standard, and I still think 2 times.

Zoom is perfectly usable and definitely doesn't lose too much detail. This is the zoom range into 2, X, zoom and then 5 times, zoom here and then all the way into 10 times zoom, which is the limit. It does fall apart a little optical image. Stabilization is also saved for the zoom edition of this phone, so that phone should have a little step up over this phone in terms of stabilization in video, in good lighting conditions, this phone is absolutely more than capable there's definitely differences in how the phones do things, for example, in this shot, these Samsung keeps a lot of those dark areas and gives them more contrast image out of the three. It actually catches, my eye, the most to show you what I mean by that I've just taken the exact same image from the K 30 Pro twice and on the right hand, side I've, just changed it in my editing software just to pull back some shadows just to give it a more contrast.

Ii poppy look I think it looks better. The way I did it, but of course this is personal choice, but it shows that you can edit these things so with the cheapest snapdragon 865 smartphones out there right now, you don't get all the bells and whistles of zoom ranges, but normal images out of this phone are perfectly good. The selfie camera on any red me or chamois smartphone needs work. Even the 10 series doesn't have good stabilization, the red meek, a 30 Pro, obviously doesn't either it's shaky. We need some sort of stabilization from Redmi here and just a quick comparison against the other two phones, just to show you where it is in terms of the quality.

The two Android phones, even with all the Beauty modes, turned off I still think tend to soften the skin and sharpen other bits of the image rich to my eye, isn't the most pleasing again. This comes down to what you personally prefer, but something I found really cool and definitely was the highlight of when I was testing. This phone was the macro sensor on the Reyna Que 30 Pro. You can get amazing images like this and compared to the other two phones, you just couldn't get them because they don't have the same very short. Focal distance Redmi have put this really cool macro sensor.

Only in the lower version in the UK 30 Pro, the zoom Edition doesn't have this. You can get some amazing shots. I was actually really surprised at how close you could get to things. Some really cool looking shots. You could get not that I'm a massive macrophotography guy, but it definitely was a surprise that I was able to get such really cool images that I've never got out of any other smartphone, and this is my favorite here.

I just think it looks fascinating, and it's a cool picture. I just found this spring on the side of the road. It was definitely a fun surprise to find out how oh good that macro sensor was maybe not something to base your purchasing decision off, but it's nice to know that if you are buying the phone you do have that option there. It's a really cool bit of tech, there's no night mode on the ultra-wide camera of the K 30 Pro, for example, the s 20 ultra does have it on the ultra-wide, although I do still think you can get some perfect shots with the K 30 Pro in the night mode and I. Think shimmies and red means night mode works best.

When you're in these city situations it can make some really contrast good-looking images with all the lights from the building's the maximum exposure you get on night mode from the Redmi K 30 price. Just a couple of seconds and I think it turns out well most of the time, a bit unfair to compare it to the s 20 ultra here, but you can see it definitely does still make a difference going into night mode. This again was taken with the night mode on the K 30 Pro, just a couple of seconds for the exposure and I think it turned out really well making that really cool contrast. You look with the lights normal mode in this situation looks a little dark compared to the s20 ultra. But if we switch to the night mode, you can definitely see that the image has changed overall.

So you can definitely get some good images at night with the K 30 Pro I think it works best when you have some lights from the buildings, and it can take those dual exposures and make it really stand out. So let me know what you think of the K 30 Pro in terms of the camera test and how it did against those tuned flagship. Phones subscribe for all the latest tech news and videos.
