Redmi 9T One Week later | Unboxing & Review | The Phone to get!

This is the Redmi 90, and I've been using it for some days now and spoiler a lot. I like it, it's an entry-level phone from Xiaomi. It was launched early this year, and you can grab one right now for just under 200 dollars. My model here has four gigs of ram and 128 gigs of internal storage, and it goes for eighteen thousand, six hundred canyon shillings here in the Kenyan market and in this video I'll. Let you know if it's worth that price, and should you even get one if you're in the market for some two hundred dollar phone, I want to give a huge shout out to mobile stoke, and I initially missed okay for sending this unit for unboxing and review. They sell Xiaomi products here in Kenya.

So if you want to grab one without a hassle, then check for the links in the description box to their website. They also sent out some true wireless earbuds and say that I don't have to send them back so watch out for twitter giveaway soon, hey guys. What's up. This is Philipp's future welcome back to the channel. If you're new here consider subscribing for more tech content, just like this one anyway, let's get started with an unboxing.

The unboxing experience is quite similar to other Xiaomi phones. So in this one pulling the top part you're greeted with an envelope. Let's put that aside for now and get to the next thing under that you can see the phone wrapped in some plastic below that you get your USB charging cable alongside 19 watts, power adapter that supports faster charging inside the envelope. You get some manuals and a clear case, and that's everything you get with the phone now to the phone. Well, it has some heft to it and that's because it weighs 198 grams.

This is the carbon gray color option, but there's a variety of colors to pick from. If you don't like this black look, it has this shiny fingerprint, like pattern at the back, and it's made out of a hard plastic material. The one red mist engraved just under the massive camera that we'll get to in a minute Xiaomi claims that this phone has water repellent coating, which basically means it can survive some light showers. But I wouldn't recommend testing it out at the bottom. You get what seems to be a microphone an USB port and a down firing speaker that pairs with that top speaker to bring out that stereo sound effect.

This is an entry-level phone and having that stereo speaker setup is a game changer, and it sounds so good for that price. On the left side, you get a sim card tray that houses, two NATO sim cards and a micro SD card. At the same time, classic Xiaomi on the right side, you get the volume rockers and below that there's a fingerprint scanner built on top of a slip, slash work, button that actually recognize my fingerprint so fast. Every time I used it, it's placed in a more convenient place where your finger naturally rests when you just want to unlock your phone, and even when you partially place your registered finger on it, it instantly unlocks the phone which saves so much time on the top there's a second microphone and an IR blaster that happens to work just like a remote. So you don't have to worry the next time you misplace your TV remote that massive display comes in a 6.53, inches and packs a resolution of 1080 by 2340, pixels, midi and other content looks sharp at 395 pixels per inch, and it even gets bright at a peak brightness of 450 nits, there's no denying that that is a huge display, but with an aspect ratio of 19.5 by nine, almost everything is accessible plus. If you have baby hands, you can easily toggle 100 more than save yourself.

I have absolutely no complaints about the design, but a higher refresh rate like a 90hz display, would be nice to have that screen is also protected by accounting, gorilla glass 3, which will keep it safer from minor scratches and another advantage is the Redmi 90 comes with a pre-installed plastic screen protector for that extra protection. On the software side, the Redmi 90 runs on mini 12 global versions, and the software is so smooth. It's optimized and one thing that'll always press Xiaomi is the animations in the OS. This makes the phone more attractive, interactive and even fun to use until you're greeted by ads. As I said earlier, this model has 4 gigs of ram, but you can get other variants with 6 gigs of ram up to 128 gigs of internal storage marks, and, if that's not enough for you, you can still expand.

The storage via micros performance is okay, with this phone for the time that I've been using it apps launch quicker, but heavy apps, like games or even camera, for example, takes a moment to load. The snapdragon 662 does a good job in keeping some light application running in the background, unless you keep a lot of heavy apps running. At the same time, I also played cod mobile, and it plays just fine with the graphics quality set to high and frame rate option set to media. So games like PUBG, asphalt, 9 and other games will just play. Fine, don't max out the settings, though, for day to day tasks like social media browsing and consuming media.

The Redmi 90 is a good performer for the most part. On the battery side, this phone packs a huge 6 000 William hour battery, and I'll say it. Battery life is one of the strongholds of Xiaomi, and this phone isn't different at all. You will struggle to kill this phone in a day, and that means that it's packed, so you don't have to worry about running out of juice. Redmi 90 has a versatile camera system with a 48, megapixel main camera, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide 2, megapixel macro and another 2 megapixel depth camera.

To be honest, I use the 48 megapixel camera and the 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera. The most pictures are bright, dynamic range is also fine, but the blues and greens comes out over saturated for some reason, and I hate that, but some people prefer the look. So I guess it's just a preference thing. The macro lens produces some usable close-ups too. So overall, the Redmi 90 has a fairly good camera system for all your needs.

It just lacks a telephoto lens. The selfie camera is also a good one, takes 8 megapixel photos, but if you don't turn off beauty mode, the selfies will come out. Soft and clay-like anyway, let me know what you think about the camera quality in the comment sections and let's have a chat. So the big question is the Redmi 90 worth it. I mean this is the phone to get if you're in the market for phones around its price point it has great battery life display is good enough.

Stereo speakers are amazing on this phone camera system is versatile and produces great images, and not forgetting the performance, which is also great for day-to-day tasks and even for gaming. If you want to grab one I'll leave, links down below the like button, so go ahead and check it out. That's it guys. I hope you enjoyed watching if you did drop a like subscribe to the channel, and I'll see you in my next video anyway, goodbye and most of all stay safe.
