Hey guys tech flash here today, the phone that I will be reviewing is the Nubia red magic 6 and the one that I have in my hands is the pro variant. Nubia actually makes two types of red magic: six phones, one is a regular version and the second one is the pro gaming version, which is what I have today. Obviously, with that there are a few differences and added features to the pro variant, such as 16 gigs of ram and 256 gigs of internal storage, and this is most probably the fastest smartphone you can buy today. The regular red magic 6 is already a pretty powerful device on its own, and then they went ahead and made a 16 gig variant, which is maybe the biggest distinguishing factor between the regular one and the pro version now, while we're waiting for the phone to turn on, let's dig into the box and take a look at the charger which is a 30 watt, fast charger adapter. Although this phone does support up to 66 watts of fast charging and the Chinese variant of this phone actually comes with a 120 watt charger. So, depending on which one you're buying you'll get the chargers accordingly, the cable here is an USB to USB, and it comes in this vibrant red color, which signifies that this is in fact a gaming phone.
Further, in the box, we get the booklet which contains the sim ejector pin alongside some very minimal paperwork, for the number of features that this phone has and a case with a lot of holes and openings to it almost a complete backup. The case is open, alongside more openings on the side of the case, which again signify the multiple functions and buttons that this phone has unwrapping the phone. The first thing we take a closer look at is the design and, as you can see, aesthetically the phone looks like a proper gaming device from the backside. It actually doesn't even look like a phone. We have the red magic logo alongside the number six logo, which I guess suggests that this is the model for the phone, and we also see the powered by Nubia logo on the top.
We also see the triple camera setup, which consists of a 64 megapixel, 8, megapixel and 2 megapixel sensors. Furthermore, we can also see the triangle shape flash, which gives a unique little twist. Furthermore, the phone has these two openings at the back on each side of the phone, and these are actually heat chambers which act as a heat sink, so the device doesn't overheat. That's right! This phone actually consists of two heat chambers, which is something that we don't regularly see on phones, the normal variant of this phone comes with only one heat chamber, but since this is the pro this one comes with two. We also have a few lights at the back, which turn on in game mode as RGB lighting on the top.
We can see a headphone jack and the actual body of the phone is made up of metal with gorilla glass on both sides for protection. On the bottom, we see the type c slot, along with the sim slot, which we will open. This sim slot supports two sims, and if you can see it actually has a rubber seal to it. Although the phone doesn't really have an yip rating, so I don't know why that's actually there. We can also see a stereo speaker on the bottom and top front of the phone.
Another thing that I noticed is that you still get the old chin type design, although the size has been reduced, but the old design is still there and that's probably a necessary evil to be able to put on the display which it currently has. The display itself is an AMOLED which has probably the highest refresh rate that I have ever seen on a phone with 165 hertz of very smooth scrolling and gameplay. Talking about the openings on the case, we can see a lot of buttons and sensors, starting with two side mounted triggers which are capacitive built-in triggers used for gaming, and the amazing feature of these triggers is that they support sensitivity up to 400 hertz on the sides. You'll again see two openings, and now these are not speakers. These are, in fact the openings for the fan on this phone.
Yes, you heard that right. This phone has two fans in it. Just like a gaming laptop would actually have, and as soon as you switch the red slider, this phone immediately goes into a gaming mode. Normally, this type of slider is used to mute your phone, but this one is used to trigger the gaming mode and as soon as I did this, I can immediately start to hear the fans going on which you can even turn on or off with the turbofan button. As I mentioned earlier, the back of the phone comes with a RGB strip, so it lights up and starts flashing whenever you're gaming, not to forget this device is packed with a snapdragon 8 processors.
So there is no doubt anywhere that this phone is probably the fastest you can currently buy. Gaming is the main purpose of this phone, and you won't have any issues in that segment at all. We already discussed the back camera, but one thing I wanted to point out is that it will actually give you the option of shooting video in ultra HD 4k resolution with image stabilization, and if I turn on the stabilization, then it can even go up to 8k, but it recommends you to shoot outdoors, since this type of resolution does require a ton of lighting the front camera has an 8 megapixel sensor, which is just enough. It will get the job done and if you ever need to use it for FaceTime or a conference call, then it will just work fine with that. We also get an in-display fingerprint sensor with the phone as a form of biometric security, and I guess that's basically the highlights of this phone, which are actually not basic at all.
If you think about it, if you're in the market for a flagship gaming phone, then this is it, I do not recall any other phone that will have better or faster features than the red magic 6 pro. This phone is for those hardcore gamers who want a device that can also make a call if they need to. In other words, this is 95 the gaming device and just five percent a phone. This phone will not only impress you, but it will actually impress others around you, because aesthetically this phone will represent you as a gamer. So if you're looking for something like that, then look no further anyways, that's it for this video.
