realme 8 review: Super AMOLED display for Less!

Hey, what is up guys? This is GN of gadget. Filipinas. Welcome back to the channel realm 8 series is now official in the Philippines. I recently posted about my initial thoughts on realm 8 pro and now. Let's focus our attention on realm 8. , hello.

There. If you missed our video over tick, took, here's a quick rundown of the stuff inside the retail box of the real new eight. We have the Realme eight in cyber silver. There are two colors of this one: there's a cyber silver and also cyber block. What we got is the cyber silver there's, also a silicon case manual and warranty documents, there's also even a type, a to type c cable and a 30 watt dart charger.

Now, if there's anything that changed or upgraded from realm 8, it would be the overall design and the super AMOLED display. Some people find these slim upgrades, because there are certain features that are essentially downgraded on realm 8. Note, however, realm seems to have a different notion or definition of upgrade, which I discussed in my previous article and video for real me. Each iteration focuses on specific features that do not technically compete with each other. You increase the number from real me.

Seven to realm. Eight does not actually mean a total upgrade from its predecessor, don't think about how Samsung or OnePlus does on their flagship smartphones, it's totally different when it comes to realm and this particular series we're talking about, I understand and get why some people are somewhat upset with this, and that's probably because of certain expectations that were unmet in the new iteration. So now, let's focus our attention on the design. The new design of realm 8 is lighter and sports a dare to leap. Laser printed statement at the back, its new life build may be perceived as an upgrade for some, while others may find this as a downgrade, since it loses the impressions of robustness and integrity.

In my experience, I find the design more striking and the slight change in weight isn't significant at all. The biggest upgrade, however, is its super AMOLED display you get deeper, blacks and more defined and detailed colors. If you love playing mobile games or watching videos using a smartphone with super AMOLED display is the best way to go, you can even further tweak its settings by playing around with color modes like from vivid to gentle and even power saving. Now, just a trivia guys did you know that having a super AMOLED display drastically reduces battery consumption, especially when using a smartphone in dark mode or black interface? In a study conducted by green bot power, consumption was 41 lower overall, when using a dark interface using a specific application that uses AMOLED mode, they measured the consumption with the following variable sets, and here is the result of their test. Now, if you're coming from realm 7 or any phone that matches its specs realm 8 can be an upgrade path if you are after a better display without the 90 hertz refresh rate.

However, if there are other smartphones that can rival its 50 990 price, but with better specs, then you may want to either wait for realm 9, if that would be such a thing or check out realm x50 pro 5g. Now, judging from the specs of the Realme 8, in contrast with Realme 6, the former is definitely a better smartphone. Therefore, if you're a fan of this series, you can then upgrade to Realme 8. Now. Here are the reasons why it is lighter.

It has a better display. Stands the 90 hertz panel, it's more compact. It has a relatively faster set of processors, and it has more battery capacity. Perhaps the only thing that might give Realme 6 users. Some second thoughts would be real me, 8's, lower refresh rate and its similar set of camera specs.

One of the features that carried on from real music is camera. Specs. You still get a 64 megapixel wide main camera, 8 megapixel ultra-wide 2, megapixel macro and 2 megapixel depth sensor its front camera is the same 16 megapixels from the two previous generations. The focusing speed is good and portrait shots, look very impressive. It even has raw shooting capabilities, which I have honestly adored from the time they introduced.

This feature from previous generations. Now take a look at this photo that our friends from the modern creatures took here. You have the unedited raw shot and here's the edited one tweaks using Lightroom or photoshop, can bring about the right and best details of raw photos, and you won't be able to achieve this if you don't have a smartphone that can shoot raw, oh by the way. I encourage you to take a look at modern creatures on YouTube and their website. They have fantastic contents, and I'm sure that you'll love them moving on realm also added a few new extra camera features and filters on realm 8.

Now you can shoot neon portrait mode using the rear, camera both effect and also starry mode. Now, let's talk about performance. I understand that this one still packs the same chipset versus the previous generation room 7. Most people would find this disappointing, but Realme seems to establish a point that their upgrade path is somewhat different. While the performance feels the same, albeit capped to 60 fps on some games, it performs noticeably better in some aspects.

There isn't much lag in terms of navigation and the performance of games we played are acceptable. Nonetheless, in terms of comparison versus its predecessor, there is significant bump in terms of numbers, but that's probably because of the optimization they did on the realm 8. It seems that the use of more power efficient display affects how the chipset behaves to redistribute its resources to performance. The realm 8 series is now officially announced in the Philippines, the realm 8, with 8 gigs of ram and 128gb of internal storage costs, 15 990 pesos, there's a 1 000 pesos off starting May 12 midnight.
