Realme 7 Unboxing and First Impressions

Hey kids welcome back to the channel where we take awesome out of the box in this one, we're taking a look at one of the newest offerings from realm the realm 7. There's definitely plenty to like about this device like its new hello g95 processor, among other things and as an early verdict, the team and I think that this could possibly give its competition a run for their money. Now before you go all keyboard warrior on us relax. Those are just our first impressions. So now, let's take a look at what this phone has to offer. But first let me show you what comes inside the box quick disclaimer.

This went to the editorial team on the website, so this is not a fresh unboxing. So I'll just show you everything you'll get. First, of course you have the phone itself. This is the Realme seven in the mist blue colorway, and it's also available in mist white. Just in case this doesn't float your bow.

Everything else is pretty much what we've come to expect from the documentation, a frosted jelly case. That's a bit of a disappointment, since it will dull the color of the phone, the USB c, cable and, of course, the 30 watt dart charger. So before we get to the phone itself. One thing you should know is that we don't have the price for the Realme seven just yet, as always there being super secretive about it and will know for sure when the phone launches or when someone leaks it to the public alright. So now, let's talk about the Realme seven and in terms of overall design, it's very similar to the seven pro with a nice matte finish to its plastic back, that's a bit too toned! I don't think that's a term for it, but I think it looks good to break up the single color of the phone that also slightly changes depending on the way light hits it.

It also repels smears and smudges to a degree, but I still recommend using the included case for the added protection, even if it will dull the design while we're here. Let's talk about the button and port layout and on the bottom, you have the headphone jack microphone. USB c port and speaker grille, the left, houses, the volume, rocker and access the sim tray and on the right side, is the power button, slash fingerprint scanner now. One thing that the Realme 7 carries on from its previous version is its display and that's not necessarily a bad thing. As a recap, it has a 6.5 inch, full HD, plus IPS lcd, with a refresh rate of 90 hertz, that you can turn down to 60 in case you want to save a bit of battery, and I don't know if my eyes are just plain tricks on me, but the colors on the display of the freely 7 look a bit more vibrant than usual. Now, I'm not saying that it's AMOLED levels, the contrast, is a dead giveaway but does have a bit more pop to it.

Personally, I would still spend the extra money on the realm 7 pro to get the AMOLED panel. But again, that's just me by the way, it also has TUV Rhineland certification. So when you have eye comfort mode turned on it should reduce eye fatigue, which is good to hear. Since I know a lot of, you might still be looking for a device to keep you company, while we're riding out this quarantine for work for studying or playing among us, maybe and if you do need to go out. Realm has advertised the display on the realm 7 to have 480 nits of brightness.

So technically, you should be able to use this outdoors with no problems, but we'll have to see in our full review by the way it's also protected by gorilla glass 3. The main highlight, or at least the main thing. That's a huge change for the realm 7 from the realm 6 is its new processor from MediaTek. The 7 is the first device in the world to have a hello g95 under the hood, which they paired with 8 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of expandable storage. Now we're not allowed to show you guys benchmark scores just yet since they're still under embargo, but we should be seeing better gaming performance out of it compared to the g90t and from the snapdragon 720 g as well, we'll make sure to have a chart up for you guys.

So you can see how it stacks up against the competition. My initial experience has been pretty good, though, with a quick gaming session, I've tried on this device providing a smooth experience without any noticeable frame rate drops now. Another major talking point for the seven are its cameras: you're, getting a quad camera setup on the back and a 16 megapixel front camera tucked in the punch hole for your selfie taking needs the shooters on the back consists of a 64 megapixel main camera, with a Sony, mix 682 sensors and an aperture of f 1.8, there's an 8 megapixel ultra-wide 2, megapixel macro and lastly, a 2 megapixel, black and white portrait lens. It's essentially the same setup as the Realme 7 pro. So, if you're looking for a smartphone primarily for the cameras, this might be the better choice check out some of our camera samples so far, providing power to the entire system is a 5 000 William hour battery, which is actually slightly higher than the capacity of the seven pro I'm thinking, that's mostly to offset some power draw from the faster refresh rate, but we'll see how long it'll take to drain the battery in our full review.

You are getting support for 30 watt dark charge, though, which isn't as crazy as the 65 watts on the pro, but that's still pretty good. Just remember guys. This is just preliminary stuff, our first impressions, if you will so if you want something more in depth, make sure you check back in the next few days for our full review. If you want to make a better buying decision, especially since we'll have the price by then, and that pretty much does it for this video about the Realme seven there's definitely more testing to be done, especially with how the hello g95 handles my usual workload, but all in all, like I said earlier, this could potentially be a great contender in the mid-range segment, but it will all depend on how much the price tag will be. As always.
