Hey everybody tom marks, PC editor here at IGN to unbox new razor phone. That's right! The popular PC peripherals maker has now made a phone that just became available. So let's take a look inside alright. So this is everything it's some really nice packaging, very, like matte finish with nice foam and that sort of stuff and here's the actual phone itself. It's like a big monolith. Basically like 2001, Space, Odyssey style.
The screen is probably the selling point of this phone. It sells itself as a gaming phone and what that really means is it's got a 1440p screen that it runs at a hundred and twenty Hertz. So that's not gonna, be you know, come in handy for every game, but there are games that will be able to hit that, and it's probably gonna, look incredible on them. I haven't had a chance to look at it. We've just opened it up.
The other things that are coming in this box are a tiny little SIM card. Remover, that's branded razor. You got some razor stickers which they include in pretty much everything they make along with this sort of translucent note from razor about how you're joining the razor family. They love doing, that you've got a pretty standard power block or a charger. The charger is a USB type-c plug as far as I can tell that's the only port on this phone as well so similar to the iPhone.
You actually have to use this, which is also included a little adapter to get from the USB type-c to an actual headphone jack. If you want to use your normal headphones. So it's nice if that's included a little frustrating that there isn't just a headphone jack on here, but there are some big of speakers on either side. The phone actually stands up on its side. It's meant to be because it's that thick, it's kind of square, it's a little wobbly, but you know there's no kickstand or anything on it.
The speakers have Dolby Atmos surround sound, it's just kind of a beast. There's two 12 megapixel cameras on it as well. It's um it doesn't. It goes all out. Let's put it that way, yeah so, like I said this phone did just launch in Europe when it comes to the States, it'll be seven hundred US dollars and the carry those aren't completely out.
Yet it's gonna probably be limited to some and not others. So it's a pretty promising and impressive gaming phone and not a lot of manufacturers, are going towards that market. So it'll be interesting to see how it pans out. Well, let you know what we think of it as we do our testing moving forward and for everything else. Gaming.
Keep it right here on IGN.
