Razer Phone Unboxing by ProClip USA

Hey everybody we're back with another unboxing, and today we're doing something very special if you are a PC gamer, you have seen this symbol before, and you know what it signifies today: we're unboxing the racer phone Right off the bat. This is a huge box. It's nice! If you ever watched any of our unboxing. You know I love a good quality box. This one's even got a little pull tab here. That I can open it with and the side is apparently magnetically closed, so super easy to open, but still quality.

Okay. What do we get a letter from the co-founder of racer? Let's set that aside, and you can see here- watch listen play alright and there's the phone. Of course, we're gonna. Take that out just set that aside for one second, look at this: it's like a book and what we got in here. I'm assuming this is literature, yep literature.

What else we got woo! These are interesting. Oh, that's cool! So each of these has a little pullout foam tray and here's our charging cable, okay. So the dreaded headphone jack adapter is this phone does not have a headphone jack, which is kind of par for the course. These days so USB-C to headphone, and then I assume. This is the wall, plug yep, alright, snaps closed and then there's the phone yeah and there it is At.

First glance: it's actually pretty minimalist. It's basically just a brick, but with this phone it's what's inside that counts, first, 5.7-inch screen, which is 2560x1440. Second, it is a Snapdragon 835 processor, that's pretty par for the course for high-end smartphones. These days the rear camera is 12 megapixels and the front-facing camera eight megapixels. What isn't par for the course is that this has eight gigs of ram.

A pretty high amount of RAM is also 64 gigs of internal storage, with an SD card slot that can handle up to 256 gigs extra, and it has a four thousand William hour battery. Basically a big giant battery to power all your gaming sessions or, if you're, not gaming, on it to let it run, I don't know for eternity. Maybe why would you buy a phone from a company? You might not have heard of well if you're, watching this, and you're a gamer, you probably have heard of Racer, they make gaming PC's, and they also make gaming peripherals, which means this phone must have something special about it, and it probably has something to do with gaming. Let's talk about that. First, the screen this one can do up to a hundred and twenty Hertz refresh rate.

So what does that mean? Well, the refresh rate is how fast the phone can redraw the screen at 120. That means it's redrawing the screen 120 times a second most phones. Only do it 30 times a second. The screen is also HDR capable, and that means that colors are gonna. Look amazing.

All the colors are gonna pop, like probably nothing you've ever seen on a phone before and in addition to the Snapdragon 835, there is a whole separate, adrenal, 540 GPU. This phone is like a gaming PC. It has a separate graphics processing unit, which means 3d applications and VR applications are gonna, be fast as all get-out. That's why you would want this phone. Alright, let's take a look at this screen here and actually, at least in my eyes, there is a noticeable difference.

It seems quite a bit smoother than a standard phone I didn't I didn't think there was gonna, be any difference. It's subtle, but it's there I mean it's definitely interesting. Alright, let's talk about the features and the buttons and stuff. So, first, if you can see it on the overhead cam here, but the power button is not a solid power button. It's it looks like it's a little window or something that's because the fingerprint reader is built into that button.

The volume up and down buttons, they're, actually pretty nice they're a little small, but they're far enough down on the phone that you could easily reach them. That being said, this phone is kind of a beast. If you got small hands, it's its gonna, be big in your hand, because thinness and lightness wasn't obviously not a focus here, but considering what's inside, that's understandable, otherwise, I mean its feels solid, feels weighty I like when a phone feels heavier than it looks at a price point of only $699. This is really competing with high-end phones out there like the Note, the iPhone at a thousand bucks. This might be something to consider if you're looking at an Android phone you're looking high-end I, definitely think this should be on your shortlist and if you already have a Racer phone, and you're looking for a Proclaim mounting solution, take a look at our adjustable holder number #246827, that about wraps up our look at the Racer phone I'll, see you guys in the next unboxing.
