Product Red iPhone SE 2020 Unboxing & Review - Is It The Best Budget Smartphone?

So this is Apple's budget iPhone SE for 2020, and it's the second generation of iPhone SE models. The one we're looking at today is the product red 64 gigabyte base model, that's priced at $399 US. You can also pick it up in white or black and for an extra cost. You can bump up the storage all the way up to 256 gigabytes. So, let's peel back the plastic and see what it's all about. In the box, you get the new iPhone SE and if you're into Apple details, you'll notice that the Apple logo is now centered like it is on the iPhone 11 models.

Now, don't let this design fool you all. It looks like the iPhone 8, it's packing, some powerful performance which I'll talk about in just a little continuing the unboxing. You have your SIM card, ejection to a paper work manual, Quick, Start, Guide and Apple stickers. As expected, the second generation, iPhone SE, doesn't have a headphone jack, so standard, lightning, port ear, pods are included for charging. You get the USB lightning cable, with a standard.

Five watt power, brick. However, the new SE does support fast charge. Now the new iPhone SE is essentially bringing back the familiar iPhone 8 design, with the popular 4.7 inch display and touch ID enabled home button. With that being said, the internals have been upgraded dramatically with the same: a 13 Bionic chip that powers, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 role models. This means you're, gonna, get flagship phone performance for gaming photos, apps videos, and it's going to stand the test of time for under $400.

The rear facing camera seems to me the same 12 megapixels, wide-angle camera found on the iPhone 8 in terms of hardware. But again with that eight 13 chips, the camera performance, is going to be better, especially when shooting 4k video, slow motion, video or taking portrait mode pictures which you can control the blur. The front-facing camera is a 7 megapixel camera which can shoot 1080p video at 30 frames per second, and also has the ability to take portrait mode selfies with background blur controls keep in mind that this camera does not have faced ID capabilities, which also means that an emoji will not work with this iPhone as II touch. I'd is also welcome back as it's something I miss with my iPhone 11 Pro, still easy to set up and superfast, unlocking the phone using Apple Pay and app purchases. As for the screen, you're getting a 1334 by 750 pixel, LCD, which is equipped with haptic touch.

Now this isn't going to be as bright or dramatic as say an OLED display, but it does a good job with nice, blacks, sharp color and an overall pleasant viewing experience now in terms of its physical footprint. It does feel much thinner and more compact than the iPhone 11, but when you compare them side-by-side, you can see that the length of the two phones is almost the same due to those big bezels on the front of the iPhone SE. When you place them on top of each other, you can definitely see that the iPhone SE is smaller and thinner. More compact, and it's going to feel a lot better in the pocket. But if you're coming from an iPhone, 10 or even an iPhone 10 as the actual feeling in your hand, isn't going to be much different.

Another small detail is the black bezel, which is standard on all color variations of this new iPhone SE. So you no longer have the option to choose a white bezel like with the iPhone 8. As expected, this phone is splash water and dust resistance up to a maximum depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes. So that means it's not waterproof, but if you do drop it in the toilet or in the bathtub, you should be ok if you pull it out quick enough, and if it's not too deep in terms of battery life, it should be pretty much like it was with the iPhone 8. So you should expect up to 13 hours of video playback forty hours of audio playback, and it does support fast charge as well as wireless charging.

Now, with Apple's release of this new 2020 iPhone, set hey've taken the budget smartphone game to a completely other level. There really is nothing on the market at that price point that can compete with an 8, 13 Bionic chips and give you everything that this phone does as good as it does for that price point. So, if you're looking for an upgrade- and you want to get into the iPhone game, this is a great way to start things off at a low price point of 399. I would strongly recommend that you jump to the second variation of it. It's about $50, more and it'll.

Give you a hundred and twenty-eight gigabytes of storage. It's a little better I think it's the best bang for your buck. If you're looking for a new phone and what's great about this, because it has that new, a 13 chip, it's gonna! Last you a long time. That means when Apple releases, new iOS updates you'll, probably be good for at least three to four years, if not more anyway, guys I hope you enjoyed this video. If you did hit that, like button subscribe to the channel for more videos like this one and don't forget to hit that Bell notification button to be notified, when I post new videos I'll be going over everything that this one can do, and I'll see you guys in the next one.
