POCO X3 NFC Review in English(Affordable 120 Hz Screen Phone)

Hi guys, this is just another feminine here with a review of the Poco x3 NFC. Yes, it's finally time, so we're here with a handset that looks gorgeous at least at first sight, and it stands out through the Poco logo. At the back side, it's got to be the cheapest phone, with a 120 hertz refresh rate on the market. At the same time, it inaugurated the brand-new snapdragon 732 g CPU, and it comes with a pretty solid quad camera. At the back bonus a big battery, the phone is only, I repeat, only priced at around 220 dollars. That's how little you can spend for it in some countries.

Now we have here the cobalt blue hue, there's also a shadow gray and well Poco has become an independent brand ever since I unboxed this device, so it stands on its own as a separate company. Basically now design wise, as you can see, we have a racing stripe here and also the camera design is inspired by DSLR. The phone is a bit slippery. I admit that, and it also draws quite a bit of fingerprints and lint, especially in the camera department. At the same time, I can't stop looking at it.

It's definitely eye pleasing. It's also, rather massive. Furthermore, it's a long and wide phone, so one hand usage may be problematic, especially on account of the large diagonal. A good piece of news is that we're getting splash proofing, ip53 and there's also gorilla glass 5. On the back side, we have an aluminum frame and a plastic bag which you probably guessed already.

The thickness is rather beefy 9.4 millimeters, and it weighs 215 grams, which are felt to be honest, they're pretty much felt. So that's pretty much it. It's got a back side. That's uh! Well, actually a piece of work. It involves some multi-layered polycarbonate, not your typical polycarbonate, and it's got a special metallic imitation shape.

At the same time, it has pretty comfy buttons if you're wondering about the flat power button here with the fingerprint scanner or the volume button, above it, they're more solid than on your usual mid-range or budget phone, and we also have a bundled case to increase its grip and make it less slippery. Moving forward from that, the screen you're seeing here this one is a 6.67 inch display with an IPS LCD panel, 120 hertz, refresh rate and even HDR 10. It's got the full HD plus resolution and the protection is gorilla, glass 5. It's got quite a big chin and also, I would say, a pretty large punch hole for the selfie camera, and it's got a 22 9 aspects. Now the video playback goes like this.

This is a full HD 60 frames per second video, which should also have HDR the videos I watched. Well, I would say reasonably bright, but only indoors. This handset screen cannot face the strong sun, so basically medium brightness. I would say that the colors are decently calibrated I've seen better on IPS LCD panels, so I would say it's a compromise solution which banks on the whole 120 hertz, refresh rate the view angles aren't very flattering. So it's best watched from the front and indoors, not outdoors, so there's that at least colors are kept more realistic compared to AMOLED and also a bit more white than what we're used to and even more washed out.

If you're looking at not videos but under the interface, the pixel 7 RGB stripes arrangement, and when we did a brightness test with a lux meter, we achieved a very modest 380 lux. We usually count phones that go above 400 as superior. This one is below that threshold. At least it beats the Realme six and also the Huawei nova 5t and the Huawei p smart 2021. It stays below the one plus north and the Huawei p40 lite 5g, as well as the motor g5 g plus, you can mess around the settings.

There's a special area where you can tweak the display options you can go here. You've got your brightness level reading mode, there's the color scheme with quite a few features, auto saturated standard and even color temperature. We have the refresh rate, which only two options: 60 hertz or 120, hertz, there's a dark mode, there's a text size full screen mode and well that's about it and just as a quick mention in case you're wondering we do have a notification light on this device. Now, if you want to go inside the handset, we got your typical app here and the processor we can find inside is well a rare occurrence on nowadays devices Qualcomm snapdragon, 732 g, 8, nanometer, outscore, 2.3, gigahertz and well no lag to speak of no matter what I did on the device in this case, it's accompanied by six gigs of ram memory, lpddr4x and 128 gigabytes of storage, which is good news, because there's also 64 gig versions once again, no lag, no problems pretty snappy, even in hardcore shooters, fps's and all sorts of devices. Just so you know, storage is of the UFS 2.1 variety, and we also have a micro SD card slot. If you want to evaluate properly the performance of the device you're going to have to go to the benchmark section- and here we start off with uh well, it should be on two to eight, but it didn't run properly.

So we got on two to seven here and in this test. Let's see what we achieved, we beat the Samsung Galaxy a80, the Oppo Renault four light. We stayed below the Huawei p40 light and the Nokia 8.35 g, perhaps more relevant and more often used than leaked nowadays, is the geek bench 5 test. As you can see here, we're actually not doing bad. We surpass Xiaomi mi, note 10 lite and the Motorola motor g9, plus, plus even the hardcore and famous motor racer 5g.

We stayed below the Oppo arena, 3 pro 5g and the Xiaomi meet and light, as well as the Redmi Note 9 pro okay. So if you want to talk about the GPU, this is the result. I would say it's rather modest. It's up there beating the Realme six and the Redmi Note 9 pro, but at the same time it's staying below the Huawei p40 light. So the firing, the mid-range carrion, are superior, and it's also below the motor g5g plus.

It can definitely fight, I would say, phones that have processors, like I don't know, snapdragon 720 or maybe the hello g90t, but that's being pretty optimistic, it's basically a spin-off from the snapdragon 730 and that's about it. If you're wondering about the temperature, we also have a test for that here and uh in benchmarks. We achieved 41.3 degrees Celsius, which is borderline overheating. Anything past 40 degrees is considered overheating bias, but those are only benchmarks in games is just 38.4 degrees Celsius. So you shouldn't exactly worry about the heat now it's time to discuss the battery, which is to me one of the selling points which we have here, because it's so large and generous.

It's a 5160 William for our unit, which charges at 33 watts, which is actually not half bad and let's see how it did in our tests. Okay, so we go here to the battery. We got the video playback and the results is. The result is pretty good 15 hours and two minutes. What this means is that we're able to beat the Oppo RINO, 4 lite and the OnePlus word and 10 version and the Huawei p smart 2021.

At the same time, there are a few better phones out there, obviously like the Moto G 5g plus for Motorola Oppo a72 and the hardcore motor g9 plus also for Motorola okay. So that was the video playback test, not half bad. Let's see about the continuous usage once again, not bad, actually almost biting into the top 20. So it's the 20 second placed phone 14 hours and 49 minutes uh. I would say that it beats the lg velvet, which is quite expensive.

The Redmi Note 9 pro. It also beats OnePlus 8t and the Xiaomi mi 10t lite, not a battle roster of devices defeated by this cheap handset. At the same time, it stays below the Xiaomi mi 10, lite, 5g Galaxy S10 light and the Xperia 10 mark ii. I try to cover some which are in the same board park price wise. The charging requires a full uh value of one hour and two minutes, which is actually not that bad considering you get 67 percent charge in just 30 minutes, and you're good to go for almost one day of use or even exactly one day of use.

One hour of charging gets you to 99, and I'm pretty happy with what we achieved battery-wise. There aren't many compromises here in spite of the price, so we do have an audio jack at the bottom and guess what we also have stereo speakers, one at the bottom and one at the top, the earpiece and, let's see how it did in our tests. Okay, so first, I'm going to put it to the test by using copyright. Free music here turn up the volume, and here we go. Oh, perfect combination of high notes and bass, and I would say that the volume is quite generous here.

We don't have that surround, feel you get sometimes with stereo speakers on higher end devices, but I'm satisfied with the well amplitude of the sound and the bass and the high notes, not a bad experience at all. Now we have a decibel meter, and we put that to the test, and I noticed some discrepancy between the two speakers so at the bottom, with an acoustic sample where 91.7 decibels are at the top just 76.7. Quite the difference between the two in general, good stereo phony would mean they should be equal, this time, they're, actually not with the bottom value we actually achieve top 20 material, and we're able to beat phones like, for example, the Huawei p40 light 5g and also the Motorola edge at the same time, staying below the Xiaomi mi note 10 light and the motor g5 g5g plus. So this was the acoustic sample test. We also have a gaming test where we scored 99.7 decibels, we're usually happy to go past. The 100 decibel mark well, not in this case at least we surpassed galaxy a71 and one plus north, but we stay below the Huawei p40 light and below the galaxy a51 and the Oppo Renault 4 lite.

Okay, it's time, we've discussed everything about the camera. Well, almost everything camera wise. We have a pretty typical setup, so here at the front, in this ladder, big punch hole. There is a 20 megapixel shooter, with fixed focus and f 2.2 aperture. Now, moving at the back side, we find a quad setup inspired by DSLR design, wise there's, a 64 megapixel shooter as the main cam with f 1.9 aperture and a Sony sensor. This counts a lot Sony is superior compared to Samsung.

In this case a quad bear setup and accompanied by a 13 megapixel ultra white shooter, 2 megapixel macro into megapixel both. It does 4k video capture unexpected at this price tag. It has AI macro, vlog night mode, pro mode, slow motion portrait. What have you? Okay? So we're done with all the technicalities I'm going to go straight to the gallery, and here we are okay. So let's talk about the daytime pictures now at about 200 and below 300, I wasn't expecting much and boy was I in for a surprise, okay.

So these are the first samples I've taken, I'm pretty happy with the fact that there aren't many differences here between the main camera and the ultrawide camera in color hues and like in the ultrawide. Camera, doesn't lose many details and also doesn't distort the edges as I've seen on other phones. I'm pretty happy that Xiaomi or better said Poco went this time with a 13 megapixel camera, not the typical poor, 8 megapixels, ultra white camera. Okay, several more shots, the colors are kept pretty well, but this is a device that produces colder colors than usual they're, not exactly mind-blowing and warm as people were accustomed to for years because of Samsung and apple, which promoted the warmer and eye-popping colors, so regular shot an ultra white shot, which doesn't miss a bit compared to the main one, doesn't distort and doesn't change the well brightness of the image. Pretty nice texture of these leaves here, but let's go to more serious things.

Finally, we have a pretty decent macro camera, which beats the main camera. So I was attempting to take close-ups to the main camera. I was unhappy with the results, and then I get really up close with the macro shooter and achieved proper macros. I also have ones later on now. The quantity of detail here doesn't exactly rival flagships, but it's also the same time, not bad for a mid-range phone.

As you can see, I'm zooming in, and I'm not losing many details, and if you choose the 64 megapixel shot option you're. Definitely in for a treat now. As far as the zoom is concerned, we don't have a telephoto camera, so we rely on well cropping and the things are okay at 2x. If you want 3x or 5x zoom look somewhere else. This is not the case, so this is one area which was uh in the shadow in the park.

As you can see, the colors are a bit colder than usual. They usually pop out. This feels like fluorescent green, not in this case it's more tame compared to other handsets, but it's also more realistic. That's what I perceived with my own two eyes here. We have a typical example of both, which is very well done.

The duck has been cut perfectly compared to the background, and here we have yet again a few samples of macro. This is probably one of the few phones on the market which didn't force me to take 20 macros to get a proper one, and here you have a beautiful hue of these trees. In the late fall, this rusty red really got to me: okay, several more shots here and also discovered the carousel, and I was happy to take his pictures pretty impressed by the details and the colors and basically everything the focus and the macro as well didn't forget about the selfies, and I'm pretty happy with those as well uh, I would say, they're, almost on par with the device that impressed me very much. The Xiaomi mi 10, lite 5g. We don't have as much detail and as much texture, but they're, always clear, and they're always well focused, which, for a fixed focus.

Camera is a great thing now. If you look closely at the both capture, you'll see that it captures a bit of the tree bark behind me, and this happens every once in a while. It misses a bit of the focus here around the ear and the hair and almost captures was behind me, but such a small amount wouldn't be felt and seen on social networks. So pretty good details, nice texture, not exactly at the level of the Xiaomi mi 105g. But actually, who is that's one of the best cameras? So color me impressed that's the feeling that I got here.

It surpassed my expectations. I would say that particularly the ultrawide and the micro camera, where solid I had the best expectations from the 64 megapixel cam, I would say, can fight galaxy, a51 and galaxy a71 on par easily, the Xiaomi mi, 10, lite, 5g, and also the Huawei p40 light 5g, and it beats the Oppo Reno for light. Now these are daytime shots. So let's go to the low light, which is uh more of a challenge here. If you ask me now, during the nighttime, the photos are a bit warmer, the color is a bit more intense, but no matter what complaints you have here, the halos are too big for you, there's a lot of pink and orange.

You don't like the details. You don't have stuff highlighted, which you like to see more. We have one solution and that solution is called night mode. It fixes any one of your complaints. So if you keep the phone on night mode, you should achieve some pretty stunning shots and at times I felt we didn't capture enough light.

The ultrawide shots are pretty poor, and they're pretty blurry, as you can see here, but once you use the regular camera, and you feel that you need more light here. You just activate the night mode, and this is what you achieve so not enough light in this area use the night mode, and you are all done and some of these shots with the night mode actually can rival phones, which are two times or even three times higher priced than this device, not bad, not bad at all, but only in night mode and only with the main camera. The ultrawide doesn't cut it. Now, let's go to the video okay, so let's see how we're doing in the video department. First, I have a stabilization test here, and here we go.

Although on this small screen, things may feel okay when you're looking at it on a TV set or a monitor, you'll, see that there's a bit of trepidation in the area of the asphalt so uh, not the best stabilization in the world, but also not the worst. I would say it's medium level. I expected well not much here, and I got, I would say, medium experience if you're not descending stairs but walking on a flat surface, you'll probably be happy with the result, but in general the trepidation will be present and uh. This is the focus test, focus on the foreground and focus on the background, which things are pretty fast and snappy, so the focus delivers. If you want more color, we definitely have that quick change of exposure here.

Something that I noticed here is something I've been complaining about for the past two or three mid-range phones, the lack of sharpness and a crisp image. So even in 4k the past few phones, like I don't know opportunity for light or even the Nokia 8.3 didn't deliver the same crispness as the galaxy a51 and galaxy a71. Believe it or not. This one does perhaps even more so than the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g, so I'm very happy with the details here, the sharpness and the quality and clarity that we have. It went above my expectations.

I didn't see any area where the details were poor, not even in the distance, which is something that happens on most Chinese phones. I've tested this year, which were past a certain price tag, the selfie videos weren't much to look at. So this is probably the only underwhelming aspect of the video together with stabilization. But aside from that, if you're going for sharpness and clarity, this handset can film pretty well. Of course, this is all daytime when you're switching to low light expectations, drop and so does the quality things are too warm.

The colors are too warm here shaky. I would say that the microphone is pretty solid, catching the ambience, but the streetlight halos are too big, there's a bit of shakiness and there's a lot of noise in the background. So there's that and also some reflections in the end, the quality that we got here. The quality of the video surpassed my expectations. We have, we have some pretty solid, ultra-wide shots and Microsoft, shots which I didn't expect, and I just think it's time we talk.

We talked about other things like, for example, the fact that this is a dual sim phone. So I guess it's time to discuss the connectivity aspect. Okay, so the Poco x3 NFC, as the name says, has NFC it has dual sim slots of the NATO sim variety there's 4g here, there's no 5g, there's probably going to be a later version. With that who knows, we got Wi-Fi a b g n ac, there's Wi-Fi direct. We have Bluetooth 5.1, we have GPS bonus and BDS, there's an infrared emitter at the top, so you can control TV sets, set-top boxes and so forth. There's USB c at the bottom 2.0 this port here in the center, and we also have FM radio. Now the chords were pretty loud and clear.

So no objection is there and if you want to talk about connectivity, you can definitely go to the screenshots. We have quite a few here and let's see this is the app called speed test, and these are the results we achieved on 4g. We got as high as 123 mega per second in download 42.2 mega per second upload, while Wi-Fi brought us to 363 over 25.2. So in the end not a bad experience, especially for this price tag, it's a pretty fast, Wi-Fi and 4g connection. If you want to talk about the software, if you've seen our latest reviews of Xiaomi phones, you know exactly what to expect just because we have here mini 12 on top of well android 10.

, so the leftmost home screen is all about the Google News. The multitasking happens like this, with two columns, there's also split screen available and a cleaner has been embedded here at the top side, clean, deep, clean security scan and so forth. Aside from that, we also have, let's see what else. So, if you pinch the screen, you should be able to trigger the widgets which remain in the good old-fashioned, Xiaomi way: lots of transparency and minimalism. If you swipe down, you will see the notifications and the quick settings.

There's quite a few of them of these toggles, some of them useful. We have a dark mode. We have a reading mode. Furthermore, we have the cast wireless cast, there's the miss ha the screen recorder, and you can edit this list. Okay.

Now, aside from that, we also have security. So the fingerprint scanner is here- and I just put my finger here- the device is unlocked instantly use. This one doesn't work, use this one. It definitely works. It's fast snappy and pretty accurate, there's an app drawer which you can activate, and it's pretty fluid on account of the high refresh rate and, as you can see, the apps are organized by category, which is something nice to see, and I'd like to see on all the phones out there uh, let's see what else.

If you want to go to the settings, you'll find a lot of options related to connectivity, lock, screen display password security, extras, quick ball, one hand mode clear, the speaker, and we also have digital well-being and special features like the game, turbo video toolbox, floating window and second space. This is pretty much it and if you want to check out the pre-installed apps, there's not much bloatware, we did find Netflix on board, which is something nice to see. We have podcasts, we have the WPS Office for productivity needs and well a few other apps. Here the remote me browser and Facebook and Google Drive plus Google Assistant, so this is about it, and now it's time for the verdict. Okay, so as I'll tell you the verdict, I'm going to be playing one of the few games, which supports a pretty high refresh rate.

It goes as high as 144 hertz, its dead cells and, of course it supports 120 hertz. Now what we're dealing with here uh is a phone that provides you with the following pros, so pros and cons now: okay, so let's discuss what we have here on the pro side, we have a beautiful back side. Also, the handset is rather cheap, which is one of the drawing points of it. It's pretty powerful cruise, and it's got a, I would say, a rather big screen which can serve you well in games and also in video. Watching now, aside from that, we also have a pretty nifty battery, and I'm talking about the battery life and as well as the charging.

We have a strong speaker, volume, wise and there's also the aspect of solid macros above expectation, ultra-wide shots, and I would even say that the 4k video capture was above my expectations compared to any Xiaomi phones. I've seen this year, especially in the mid-range department and as I'm killing demons left and right. I will tell you that connectivity is pretty fast me. Y12 is always a plus, and I was also pretty happy with the night mode which we used on this device. So those are all pros.

On the cone side, I should mention that the screen is not very bright, it doesn't have generous viewing angles and, at the same time, um. I should also mention that the back side that draws fingerprints, the device is quite slippery and uh. You should know that uh, the stereo phony is not exactly real, so it doesn't give you that proper surround effect. You can get on some pricier phones out there. The zoom is underwhelming on the camera.

The low light samples have a red weird hue, and the stabilization was, I would say, more modest than anything else, and aside from that, sometimes it feels that the 120 hertz experience is not as fluid as one would expect, which is something that makes me think of a compromise when it comes to the screen, but most times it's rather fluid. Okay, so I'm done those are all the pros and cons and once again for 200 and 200 dollars and change, it's actually not a bad experience, no matter. What do you want it for you can want it for gaming you'll be happy with it? You can want it for 4k videos, you'll be happy with it even nighttime. Samples and selfies will definitely make you happy at this price tag. It's also the first phone I've seen the first mid-range phone.

I've seen able to shoot, 4k video like a Samsung, galaxy 8 devices and also has those extras- the infrared emitter and the audio jack at the bottom. It's a very solid recommendation from us, rivaling any mid-range phone on the market right now and even beating quite a few of them. This is it from jason. com. This has been the review of the Poco x3 NFC, bye, bye.
