Hey, what's going on guys, it's ETA platen back here again today, we're going to be taking a look at the emulation performance of the all-new Poco f2 pro now. This is one of my favorite Android phones of all time. I do have a full review coming up, but I kind of wanted to get this video out of the way, because I've had a lot of people specifically asking about the Poco f/2 and emulation I've actually had the f2 Pro in my possession for about two weeks now, and I've swapped over to this, as my daily driver kind of fallen in love with this device, and they actually make two variants. So the variant I have here has a hundred and twenty-eight gigabytes of internal storage and six gigs of lpddr4 X RAM. If you go with the more expensive version, you're going to get 256 gigabytes of storage and eight gigs of lpddr4 AM, which will help out with performance, but the lower and model that I have here with the lpddr4 X is handled pretty much everything that I've thrown at it. It is an awesome performing device.
So obviously we have the Poco f2 Pro. It comes in several colors and one of my favorite things about this phone here is: it has a pop-up camera, there's no notch or punch out in the screen. So you get a full-fledged screen on this device for the CPU. We have this snapdragon 865. The GPU is the Arduino 650.
Like I mentioned, you can get one with six gigs of lpddr4 X or eight gigs of lpddr4. There is no micros card slot and that's a big letdown, but I've been able to get by with 128 gigabytes of storage or, if you go with the higher in version.256 gigabytes in the display on the f2 Pro is amazing. It's a six point. Six seven inch Super AMOLED display at 1080 by 2400. So let's go ahead and get right into some emulation for these first two emulators I just use the built-in screen recorder.
It'll do 1080p.60 doesn't affect performance here with these lower end ones, but when I move up to the higher end stuff, like Gamete 3ds and PlayStation, 2 I'm just going to be filming the screen. If we take a look in the bottom left-hand corner, we have name of the system, the name of the emulator and if I'm, upscale, plus the name of the game and in the top left-hand corner will have the FPS listing stewed guess what word I'm thinking of right now, not kidding really go on, guess a word, but it's not kidding is it out of my head? I must find it up power up. Stick! Alright! Let's take it up a notch. Here we have the dolphin emulator on using the bulk and back-end. This is a harder one to emulate here.
This is auto modal ISTA and if you've watched my previous videos on the Snapdragon ain't, 15 v, the 855 plus and even some 860 5s performance, wasn't that great. But here we're sticking around 58 to 60 fps. It feels great here another one that usually gives me issues on arm devices is zero GO we're still using that Vulcan back in here, and I'd say this is totally playable. I mean everything that I tested here works great with the dolphin emulator on the Poco f2 Pro. Moving over to some 3d simulation I'm using the official build of SIPRI from the Google Play Store 2x resolution, this is Pokémon X, and this isn't really demanding.
I mean this works great on this Snapdragon 8045 and 855. It only runs at 30fps, but it's still pretty amazing what the citric team is able to do with android I mean this is perfect emulation here, every once in a while you'll notice, some sound issues- and that goes for most of the games that I tested here I mean overall, the gameplay performance is really great, but those audio issues can be a very bad annoyance, and you'll see that with Mario Kart 70. Here keep an eye on that. Fps I mean we're pegged out at 60fps. Here the games running anywhere from 95 to 100%, most of the time, we're at a hundred percent, but you'll notice the audio just kind of cuts out every once in a while I tried using a different ROM I rebooted the system, but that's the issue I'm having at least with the Poco f2 and I have tested this on other snapdragon 865 power devices, but the audio issues.
Weren't is bad. Yes, you'll still notice some stutter here and there with those devices, but it seems like its worse on the f2 for some reason, I think it really comes down to the optimization of the emulator itself, and they just need a little more time to perfect this because, after all, it's still in early access and finally, we have some PS2 emulation using daemon PS2 pro. This is Taken 5, and I'm, pretty impressed by the performance here. There's a lot of controversy behind the daemon PS2 Pro emulator. It's been removed from Google Play, it's been put back up, but I always have people asking about it, so I always have to test it.
So, overall, the Poco f2 pro is a solid performer. When it comes to emulation or even gaming, now keep an eye on the channel, because I do have a full review coming up. I switch from my Pixel 4 XL over to the Poco f2 Pro because of the size and performance of this device. I really appreciate you watching. If there's anything you want to see in my final review, video of the f2.
Just let me know what it is in the comments below and like always thanks for watching you.
