Pixel 4 vs iPhone 11 Pro - Camera comparison in portrait mode

In this first set of shots I'll tell you right off the bat I like the pixel for more. Why? Because it's all in the face, that's the focal point, and it's way too dark on 11pro sure I'd prefer more blur in the back with the iPhone, but that's easily adjustable now by just editing it straight from the phone at 100%. Crop you'll see that the 11pro does a much better job in this lower light situation. The noise on the pixel 4 is definitely an issue, but both do a great job at edge detection, and you'll see the iPhone will start to soften and blur more of the edges in the pixel 4, but as an overall shot. The pixel 4 gets my vote in this next set of shots. Things get a bit flip-flop the iPhone 11 Pro now the brighter shot, maybe a hair too bright and the pixel 4, maybe a hair too dark, but I'd say the pixel.4 is more accurate in this scenario. Again, both do a great job, with edge detection and blurring the background.

I, throw this up to personal preference and in this next set both came out pretty similar. The 11pro is a tad lighter overall, it's especially apparent on my shirt, but both came out really well again. Another toss up, in my opinion, in like direct sunlight you'll, see how both of these shots differ. The pixel 4 is the more accurate photo here. The Sun was just rising early this morning and cast an orange glow.

The 11pro comes off on more whitish tones, and it almost looks like it's about to overexpose on my jacket and on my face here. Both provides similar results, but you'll see the unevenness in blur on the pixel, for it's a lot more pronounced on the left side here and then less so on the right. The 11pro overall handle the shot better in another low-light situation. I want to point out a few things. The pixel 4 is actually the more accurate color wise here.

This was taken in an area that had no Sun whatsoever, but the 11pro looks more appealing with its warmer tones. So if you want to go accurate, pixel 4, if you want to go warmer, I have 111 Pro. If we crop to 100% you'll, see that the pixel 4 does a better job when it comes to edge detection, as you see it start to blur my hair here, I've actually done a similar portrait shot in an earlier video with my buddy Steven here. That did the same exact thing and in this last shot indoors with sunlight. As my only source of light, you can see how different both of these turned out.

The pixel 4 is again the more accurate shot. The colors are realistic. There's more contrast for darker tones. The love'em Pro lacks any semblance of shadows or highlights on my face. It kind of just puts a glow throughout it.

Smoothing out my skin, even so as far as portrait mode goes on, both of these phones I'd have to give the edge to the pixel of 4. Here now, if you're looking to see how both of these camera phones held up to day shots night shots, video recording video stabilization, audio, recording I've made a ton of videos already I'll throw a card up with a playlist, so you can check all of them out, and before I go.
