Pixel 3a [vs] S10+ SPEEDTEST

Let's do Google Play store. Oh, look at that, hey guys what is going on so today. I want to do a speed test between two of my favorite devices. No I know I, know trust me I understand you guys are probably saying mark. Why are you doing a speed test? You literally just said that you don't like doing speed tests because they're pointless and stupid, I, yeah, and I agree with that. I still do think they're very pointless and stupid, but the price gap between these two devices is enormous.

It's gigantic same thing with the spec gap, there's a big difference in specs you have the snapdragon 670 with four gigs of ram, and you got a snapdragon 85 v with 8 gigabytes of ram. This thing is a screaming monster, but how does that translate into everyday usage? I've been using this thing for two months and then when I went to the Pixel 3a I didn't I didn't really notice that big of a difference it during normal day-to-day use, both of these pretty much seemed identical when it comes to actually using the device. So we're going to find this out right now and let's get it started. Both of these are not running any apps in the background. All apps are closed.

So let's go ahead and start out by loading up some YouTube okay. So now, let's move on to, let's do Google Play Store. Oh, look at that. The pixel 3/8 kind of took that one. Now, let's load up Twitter, let's do Facebook.

Let's do Snapchat, so I think pretty much identical on that one. I funny Amazon. So now, let's go ahead and test out game opening speeds. Obviously I think the Galaxy will win a hundred percent. But let's see by how much so, let's go ahead and load up some Mortal Kombat, so the galaxy did win that one.

It says restart required because I had my game, save on this phone, so pretty much. The galaxy definitely loaded up much faster, actually same thing both over here, and it's telling me the same thing. So let's go ahead and try asphalt 9. So really the only difference you guys will see in apps is just in games. If you, you know, play a lot of games, you do a lot of gaming around on your phone, then for sure the Galaxy will be your best bet.

But if you don't really play that many games, I mean if the difference is not that massive. If you know if I'm going to be honest, so I guess, let's go ahead and open up my Verizon on both I'm just trying to make this test seem, as you know, realistic as possible for the apps that I open the most. As you guys see, I mean the difference. Is there, but it's not massive. Like I'm, not gonna, be shocked, you know, let's go ahead and let's first, let's go to Netflix, let's open up Netflix see who does that to first I mean yeah, see the galaxy definitely took that one, but that loaded up instantaneously on both after you select a username, so I mean you know they're both great.

Let's do YouTube I think the guy think Google is actually opening it up faster by the way both animations are set to 0.5, so Google Play Store again yeah I mean we're talking about a difference of nothing, so both had to be reloaded there I think let's go ahead and try doing HBO. Now I got this weird pop-up. Oh, it's because my SIM cards in my pixel, but that one uh, the galaxy, definitely one but overall guys that that's that's pretty much. The only really difference you guys will see when it comes to tests. So this is why I hate doing speed tests, because in a speed test you have to crown a phone a winner, but just because you do that, that does not mean the other phone is bad by all means that that's that's not it.

The price gap between these two phones are incredible, but the performance gap isn't really incredible. Yes, if you go to your know if you video a few video edits, if you edit video on this phone- yes it'll fly through it ten times faster than this one, but I'm going to take a wild guess and say not many people edit videos on their phone. So this was more like an everyday kind of test. Everyone uses Instagram, Facebook social media. You know YouTube loading up, Google Play store, you know it may be a few games here or there.

Everyone does that that's normal, but opening up, video, edits and editing 4k video on your phone is I. You know that's kind of a that's a stretch right there, so guys, that's pretty much it again. I love both of these phones. Equally, both of these are amazing phones. Great purchases, I recommend them.

Both I got the OnePlus 7 pro coming in tomorrow, and a video will be up on Wednesday, so I'm excited thanks for watching guys again. This was Mark from Mark's tech. Be sure to you know to do that right there and also hit the like button. It helps me out greatly and that's it. Adios.
